I've been listening to Kanon for about 8 years now and idk about you guys but I'm honestly blown away with everything she does, and the change in her style is refreshing but it's never given me the impression that she was straying from her musical identity. I can still hear her style in everything she puts out, all of her music is really beautiful and classy and cute, and her vocals and cello playing have always been a constant. My first Kanon song was Sand Castle and it was love at first sight, but listening to this song gave me chills not only because it sounds amazing, but because of how much she's grown and she still remains absolutely lovely. ♡
Grace Ng You could say that, her early songs have darker, gothic tones, one of them being my favorites "Suna no Oshiro". I think it's called "darkwave" style(I'm not a music genre expert so don't quote me lol) but she began to incorporate cheerier, more "pop-like", even more jazzy tones in her music. Her style evolved over time but to me she's always held a trademark sound, with the combination of her classical vocals and her own cello playing being a constant in her music. I love everything she produces honestly, I find her musical development charming.
Kanon x kanon was like the first band i've ever gone to see live. A while ago I was browsing for good songs on youtube and stumbled upon this, i cant believe i didn't recognize the vocals at first and almost scrapped the song but then i saw a comment about wakeshima releasing new stuff on the wixoss OP song and i came back here lmao
I remember a Kanon's interview in Mexico: One guy asked about the change in her musical style and she answer that nothing has changed and never gonna change. If she stay having her cello sound and her own writted lyrics in the music, Kanon always be the same. She is happy with her music and me too... :)

If people cont'n hear from her as much as before maybe is because the searched in places where they "don't like the actual Kanon", so the may search in other places, it's an idea.I think you won't die if you spend 5-10 minutes of your life searching for some new songs or something else, and if you do... too bad.
