The first time I saw this animation, someone had edited it into a music video set to Bag Raiders' "Shooting Star". It was one of my favourite music videos and it always made me cry. One day when I tried to find it, it was removed from TH-cam (I assume because of copyrights). I tried for months to find it, I even tweeted at Bag Raiders on Twitter but they didn't know about it. Then this morning, I recognised the art in the thumbnail and I stopped breathing. I'm so grateful to have found this again. This really is a masterpiece, and I needed to feel these emotions after having said goodbye to a friend yesterday.

I have a theory: the girl is his girlfriend and they both liked to make street art together until his girlfriend got caught one day and was sent to jail. Then the guy made a portrait of her (maybe because he missed her) and maybe... just maybe... he put his heart into making the art that she ended up looking so real and she started moving. omg now im making this cheesy...😒 The police then arrived and he tried to get away with her helping him but it didn't work so just in time he made a portrait of himself so she wouldn't be alone. Him in the car be like: "See you in jail *wink* ". (Or he is just a single street artist who is making portraits of his dream girl and hoping to find her one day😑. Maybe even in jail.) THIS IS JUST A THEORY AND WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE STORY! This was absolutely amazing, from the concept to the art style. It truly symbolizes the sacrifice one has for their art. I am currently an animation student and I want to create pieces as inspiring as this one. Thank you for sharing it. Just a couple inconsistencies at the beginning with her strand of hair being at the beginning, then disappearing and reappearing again. And of course her eyes being closed then open then closed. Hate to nitpick but technicalities do count.

here is a random theory: The wall represents heaven or a land of freedom.The girl he sprayed paint has been a loved one that would spray paint with him had died or put in jail, and the cop car represents well the opposite of freedom orrrrrr death. So when he had spray painted himself with his lover that died or put in jail that meant he has been put in jail or died. Then they can reunite again to the wall.
When i was a teenage in Highschool , i saw this cartoon with Avicii's " lonely together ". It was my fav , and when i watch this , that song played in my head💖 #AviCii

I love the modeling done in this video, but the character animation is still a bit stiff, especially in the face. But if you imagine it´s done by 3 students, you would almost think it´s impossible! They put so much work in this!
As a Brazilian, I think this is a great work. The favela scenario is very realistic, but this police car is not like the Brazil police veicles. This one looks like from an american moovie.
Who never drew the dream woman who suddenly becomes a real woman, but after all that, do you realize that all of this was your imagination just because you are lonely, and then you realize that you have depression for that and end up being arrested? Well, I do!
