      I'd almost like to see Ged and Alex out on a limited tour just try it out..?. with the strings maybe. but absolutely no drummer...!! let us the fans hear what is missing.... and our imaginations will do the rest...... i think we all hear Neil Daily anyways...now I understand the full meaning of the song " tears" just a little bit better... what would touch me deeper, tears that fall from eyes that know why....

      Vigilant Guardian totally agree. At this point I’d be happy to have any kind of rush performance even if it’s only 2/3 of the gang...it still amazes me how much Neil’s loss hurts me and how often I think about it. It feels like I lost a loved one. Guess that just speaks to how incredible a lyricist Neil was...

I wanted so bad to go to this show but I only had my driver's permit and no one I knew shared my freshly discovered enthusiasm for this band. I have been very seriously considering the possibility that I should name Vapor Trails as my favorite all-time Rush album. The three songs Secret Touch, Earthshine and Sweet Miracle in a row are almost too much to be hoped for, while I agree that Earthshine might be the very best song on the album. But, don’t forget Ghost Rider. . . Neil has done all of us a profound service by finding his way back to the band and having spent his final years with us all. May you share in the company of God forever, my brother!

    Holy Starman!! Can't believe you got the whole show on video! Me and my friend were at this, and we met Geddy and Alex before AND after show at the loading dock. Alex was super cool and we posed with pics with him. Geddy was nice but quiet. Got only one item signed each time (as per instructed by security). Great comeback show for the boys! And got to meet our heroes. Saw Neil and his drum tech Bruce(?) ride by on their BMW bikes, but they ignored us. That's alright! Neil had been through a lot those previous 5 years.

    I managed to see quite a few Rush shows from 1996-2015, but my absolute favorite one came from this tour. Saw them in Cincinnati, in August 2002, on a absolutely *sweltering* evening, and the band's performance that night absolutely matched the temperature and humidity.

    This is an unbelievable concert 2 and a half hours of being "Pulverized" by Rush! No one can beat them. Alex is an unbelievable guitarist and can easily beat Jimmy Page and Brian May at the same time, blindfolded and both hands behind his back! He is just overshadowed by "the Machine" Neil Peart.

    • @TonyinMBSC8669
      @TonyinMBSC8669 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that Alex is a Great guitarist, very underrated!! But he would disagree that he is above Brian May and especially an idol of his, Jimmy Page. Page is a Master guitarists and producer.
      RUSH, Zeppelin & Pink Floyd are my 3 favorite bands.

    • @nickavenoso7851
      @nickavenoso7851 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TonyinMBSC8669I could never get into Zeppelin and Page’s playing. Some of their songs are alright, but a lot of their stuff just drags on and does nothing for me. Bonham is a good drummer, but he is nowhere near the greatest drummer of all time or Neil. Pink Floyd is alright, but I’m not a massive fan. Some songs I like others…eh. I know…hot take. Lol. Rush is my favorite band of all time and will always be. May and Queen on the other I love. It’s all about taste. There is no greatest drummer, bassist, guitarist, etc. It’s all about opinions and favorites.

      I agree. It's not that the DW's sound bad, they just don't sound as good as his Ludwig or Tama sets. The owner of DW, John, has done a good job of cultivating relationships with his artists, sometimes to the determent of their sound, unfortunately. Oh well, "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it" never really applied to the members of Rush!

      You “despise” DW drums? Lmao, it doesn’t seem rational to despise a drum brand, in my opinion. I understand having a preference, but shells don’t make THAT much of a difference in sound.
      Heads, tuning, and mixing/ production account for much more of the sound and timbre. I’m a Tama fanboy, but I don’t despise any drum brand unless it’s a Hello Kitty or First Act drum set.

    On 🔥 🎸 🥁 damn wish I had seen VP. I flipped out when they toured 2002 after searching the web ugh !!! I heard the concord show was small attendance. Crazy.

    Crazy to think they were already in their late forties- early fifties here and played well into their sixties. Miss this band so much :(

    Neil' stature behind the kit, throughout the entire performance...complete control of the drums! Every move tight, forceful, every hit planned.

    If you had to ask "what's the deal with the dryers back there?" then i will reply that there was an absurdist sense of humor installing those appliances back there. But rilly, i see a metaphor implying vertigo, spindrift, permanent waves, etc.
