I seriously though this kind of modification was not economically viable for smaller/cheap welder, but your video proved me wrong, and you have inspired me to buy the part to do the upgrade to my Deca 180E welder.
Will be soooo much more usable with a 4 meter torch hose, instead of the 2 meter one that comes with it stock, which has been very limiting, and forced me to work in awkward positions. With a 4 meter hose i don't have to roll the welder out, but can leave it by the wall and take the torch to the work, and not the whole welder :).
Oh - and since every single package getting sent to Sweden gets processed through customs, and we have to pay a ground fee og 20 euro, plus 25% taxes, plus wait for them to process it for weeks, i managed to find both torch and euroconnector on Amazon. Both the uk and the german site.

thanks depends if you have one with plastic feeder the motor may not be strong enough to push the wire done 4m torch i had that problem. if it does work it will put more stress on the motor and it may not last long.

It makes you able to share cables with several machines. With price of cables, that is a substantial savings. And changing torches for steel and aluminum will be much easier. Good job, did same on three of my machines.

Thanks, you make some very good points, especially testing with the multi-meter. I would also add another risk to resolve; the 2 grub screws on the Black Euro housing are live (and are not recessed far enough to be safe. I had to add rubber insulation around this housing and glue it in place.
Jim Gibson I really don’t think the grub screws are that unsafe. The dummies who try to weld there welder will die long before completing this modification.

You can buy terminals and crimps with heat shrink insulation on them
yes you can but i had crimps and heat shrink.

My welder is 220 volt but there should be low voltage. I added a solonoid that looks exactly like yours but I bought the w4 volt version. I added Tig to my MiG welder.

Hello. Quick question: what triggers the solenoid valve to open and let the gas out of the torch?
Or does it just power on whenever the machine is?
When you squeeze the trigger and hear the click that’s a relay. I’ll bet you’ll find low voltage there.

I'm currently upgrading my Clarke 151 which is good enough for sheet metal.
I thought I could use the same 2 wires for the drive unit to actuate the solenoid?
My machine doesn't have the switch cable to sodering with gas or no gas. Only sodering with Flux Wire and i won turn into gas sodering. You can Help me? Thanks for the toturial on this video.

I want to fit a Euro Style Torch Mount to my cheap Rossi 195ES MIG machine, do I need to fit the Gas Solenoid you used on your machine or can I just fit the Torch Mount on its own? Cheers in advance Andy
I had a look it seem you would need a gas solenoid for that machine. if you don't install solenoid the gas will flow it will be on all the time and you will empty your bottle. euro torch has no gas valve .

Fred hi wish I had your machine. My welder is cheap crap you can’t polish a 💩 yes it works. But this mod would work much better on your welder from what I can find on your welder it should be pretty straightforward.

The only problem I have is getting replacement parts, my only other option is getting the Euro adapter kit for mine then it will be running fine, but I was worried about doing it myself didn't want to mess things up if you know what I mean. I'll probably just turn around and sell it I got it online right now for 400 bucks because I have another Lincoln Mig welder and Tig welding machine I do a lot of side jobs out of my garage. So, kind of welding do you do? I have a Primeweld 225 Tig welder and a Primeweld 50 Amp plasma cutter, So Iif you are looking for a machine you need to go Primeweld and take a look at their machine there from China but the really good products at a low cost with a three-year warranty and free shipping.
