Good job Olympia and mom. I am a swim instructor and ISR is the best thing you can do for your child when it comes to swimming. The students I have who have had ISR really love the water and they are easy to teach. I’m actually going to observe and see if I can do the program!
Frogglez...best goggles for putting new swimmers at ease. Good goggles take away one fear and puts the kid's focus back on breath control and swimming! And don't wait this long to teach water play. ❤ for making this a priority now.
DO YALL FEEL LIKE A PARENT AT POOL SIDE IS DISTRACTING TO THE CHILD AND THAT IT COUNTERREACTS WHAT THE TEACHER IS TEACHING AS THE PARENT IS GIVING INSTRUCTION THAT THE TEACHER SHOULD BE DOING?
Plus....She's not even really crying! That would stop if Mom would step aside.... She's just making "gimme some attention noise"! Mom needs to practice Verbal Conditioning in the bathtub at home in 90 degree water, and take something special away from her every time she makes that noise. And yes, she's going to get water in her mouth because it stays Open! Teach her LIPS TOGETHER AND HUMMM A SONG 🎵
I feel like her parent will prevent her from being able to learn because she is hovering and preventing her child from the full learning experience. Im not saying its wrong just doesnt help the child learn.
That baby girl needs to be Conditioning with Verbal Ques..she doesn't know how to put her face in the water....thnk about that yall! Bless her Heart ❤!! BREATH CONTROL COMES 1ST! And I can't figure out why they keep checking her feet for oxygen and exhaustion levels...she hasn't exumed enough energy for that...lol
I've gotten that feedback on TH-cam, which I've mentioned to our instructors who we've been with the last 3 years. They like and encourage how I interact during lesson time.
They’re only telling you what you want to hear. But more importantly, you should ask yourself if your child would want these videos to be public. In ten years, these videos of her looking like an idiot will be out there for the mean girls at school to find and show everybody.
Way to go sweet baby girl👏 I agree with the previous comment that the instructor's have failed to get her used to her face in the water. As well as kicking. I've seen babies (under a year old) with more skills. This falls squarely on the instructors. I get she's trying to teach a coworker, but they are doing this little girl a disservice... potentially deadly disservice!

Goggles....start her lessons tucking her head (dropping her chin) place some fish at the bottom and (just a game)have her "find the fish" game
