Years ago, out of curiousity, I bought Dyanetics. It starts out with a warning, that if you see a word you aren't familiar with, you must look it up. Then they use words unfamiliar with most readers thereafter (I have always read a lot, lots of complicated stuff, etc), and I concluded that this had to be the worst writing style ever, like manuevering through minefields on each page... I threw the damnned book away. I have a saying: If you can explain something in plain English, you understand the subject. That book was designed to confuse. I never went past the first chapter, if even that. Total mindbending crap.

*"It's really not that difficult to deconstruct someone's view of reality. All you have to do is get them questioning things, start chipping away at the foundation of all of their beliefs, and then you institute some synthesis, upon which, ideally, they themselves will piece it together in a pre-formatted manner, because you're feeding it to them in little chunks and allowing them to take the bricks and find the way in which they fit. That's how you get someone to deconstruct their psyche."*
That's an outstanding explanation of neo-marxism and Critical Theory.

    L. Ron Hubbard was also a scam artist. He was a close friend
of Jack Parsons; that is, until he and Sara Northrup decided
to scam Jack out of a large sum of money. All of them, as
well as Jack's wife, belonged to the Agape Lodge of Aleister
Crowley's O.T.O. Parsons, himself was a true believer in Thelema
All of them were seriously messed up people; despite their talents ...

Styxhexenhammer666: I know what I am about to ask is off topic but here it is. Will you post a video explaining your opinion on the Jade Helm situation that has been running through the internet these past few weeks? You seem like you always have your facts straight and I would really like to hear what you have to say about it.

Not sure how relevant this is to this specific subject but I've been thinking of asking you. I think it'd be very interesting to see a video of you going over the history of how the Christians forced there views into Scandinavian culture such as the Vikings and Finns, Sweden etc... Starting from the beginning of the religion to present black metal bands aggressions towards the church. If you could do something like that it would be very much appreciated my friend! You have a gray mind! Thank you.

I did not even know they even had any ads. Jeez.

Scientology is crazy like all religions, but it just cost a fortune to complete the classes they want you to take. While Scientology is no more crazy then a lot of religions, it is just that Scientology uses the legal system to silence apostates, or skeptics of it.
Another issue is it is presented as if it is a credible source of psychology or psychiatry, which is why so many people fall for it. When you examine some of the science fiction in Scientology, it is actually creative, but the fact is Scientologist believe it is non-fiction, which makes it so funny to outsiders who know how to distinguish science fiction from science fact.
Add in the secretive nature of it, and people will wind up chasing a carrot that leads to a path of nonsensical bullshit. People will justify any bullshit, especially if they have spent $1,000s in the courses, which helps self-reinforce the bullshit.

JPL -- The occult roots of NASA
Jack Parsons, dedicated occultist and chemist of genius, was born in 1914 and died in 1952 in a mysterious explosion whose cause has never been fully explained. He was a tall handsome Californian, whose early work on highly volatile rocket-motor fuels was regarded highly enough for French scientists of a later generation to name a crater on the dark side of the moon after him. Parsons introduced into early American rocketry a range of exotic solid and liquid fuels whose later forms were eventually to help drive Apollo 11 to the Moon. He helped create the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL --sometimes referred to as "Jack Parson's Laboratory") in Pasadena, now a major industrial complex. .
Parsons was certainly ahead of his time in things other than rocketry. Before each test launch, he was in the habit of invoking Aleister Crowley's Hymn to Pan, the wild horned god of fertility. Parsons was an active member of the California Agape Lodge of the sex magickal group Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO), and in letters addressed The Great Beast (Crowley) as "Most Beloved Father".
    The Babalon Workings
In August 1945, on leave from his less than spectacular naval career, Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard was introduced to Parsons. Jack was impressed by Ron's exuberance and energy and wrote in a letter to Crowley: "I deduced that he is in direct touch with some higher intelligence. He is the most Thelemic (Crowley's branch of magic) person I have ever met and is in complete accord with our own principles". Hubbard moved in and promptly gained the affections of Parsons' main squeeze, 19-year-old Betty Northrop. He was soon initiated into the secrets of the OTO and made Parsons' magical partner.

Additional comment; L Ron Hubbard was a "failed" Sci-Fi writer who also was in the military (hence) the Scientology terms, "Sea Org" and "levels". Rumor has it his military record was a few strips short of decent. L Ron Hubbard was also known to say (which is documented), PARAPHRASED..."that in order to become RICH, you must either own your own country (OR) start your own religion"! Hmmmmm!

Yeah LRH knew Crowley, at least they met. He belonged
to the same Lodge of the O.T.O. as Jack Parsons.
Jack Parsons had an affair with his wife's under-age
sister, named Sara Northrup. When LRH came along,
Sara (most called her Betty) dumped Jack for LRH.
Eventually LRH and Betty Northrup scammed Parsons
      out of $10K.

I don't know, I'd say with Scientology there's actually precedent that should dissuade people from getting involved in it- L. Ron Hubbard's previous works of Science Fiction. I mean, there's actually readily available indisputable physical evidence that Hubbard was no stranger to pulling fabrications out of his ass, right? It's not exactly equivalent or even really similar to the Abrahamic religions. I don't know.

Jonestown was NOT a mass suicide, btw. People were murdered down who wanted to leave. Jones had his henchmen force everyone to either drink or be injected. It was not a suicide. People were being abused. They were going hungry. They were unhappy. The sheen had worn off.

Believe in God(s), or not to believe in God(s), that is the question.
Is a belief in either direction important in the grand scheme of things...I think not.
The only time any particular belief becomes important is when someone starts dictating that you MUST believe in my belief or face my version of repercussion for not believing in my belief.

Question for some of the older subscribers: at around 3:00m he mentions that he used to be a satanist. I am curious as to what led him on to other things and what does he identify as now (if anything). I have watched a lot of videos, but can't find where this transition is. I am just beginning to look into satanism (I had some big misunderstandings about it before). This channel seems to be a good, thorough source on the subject so I'm interested to know these details. Some joke that Raël (née Claude Vorilhon) started the religion to get
the birds/chicks ?!? :D That said, L. Ron Hubbard was a big fan of Aleister
    Crowley/Thelema religion (practiced at the Church of Thelema, the O.T.O);
as were Jack W. Parsons and his wife, Helen. *Jack W. Parsons believed*

Remini's show was good. Styx here however is clueless and shouldn't have bothered as he clearly knows prescious little of scientology, which fact causes him to vastly underestimate its content via fairly ludicrous statements. After watching this uninformed hatchet job anyone willing to hear scientologies side too, could easily be sucked right in as they'll quickly see how false Styx's take is. This is a case where much less, i.e. near nothing said on the matter, would have been a better choice for Styx to make.

Im agnostic, so this is a friendly critique Styx. Scientology is a scam but it's beneath your intellect to compare it to 2,000 years of judeo Christian theology. Of course Genesis and miracles are not factually defensible, but it's ridiculous to paint all of Christianity with that brush.

Despite being a regular viewer of your content, I was astonished to find such a terribly uninformed piece such as this. You don't even differentiate between Scientology (the subject) and the Church of Scientology (one of the organisations that delivers Scientology). Yes, the CoS, since it was taken over by the current management has become a heinous, bad-intentioned cult, but there are other well-meaning people and organisations that deliver Scientology which genuinely improve people's lives. And it's not a religion.

I agree I really like Styxexenhammer666 and he very informed on many subjects, however this video on Scientology is terrible. Scientology is very powerful tech. and yes who or whomever took over the Church are bad actors for sure, but doesn't make the tech bad.

You should make a new video, you missed a LOT. And thankfully, the LDS Church doesn't punish people who leave, stalk them, tie them up in legal worries, force you to shun your family, etc. They made a GRAVE mistake to no longer baptise the children of gay parents. I have a gay son who is a member so I can't deal with that crap.

carl you are grossly ignorant on the subject of scientology, less than 2 min in reveals.
the basis of scientology is hubbards take on thelema, which he fell in love with as a teenager via the book of the law. he was a practicing ceremonial magician his whole life. scientology the institution was designed to be hubbards personal vehicle to power in the spiritual and material realms. he went so far as to duplicate his version of the s.s. and gestapo. the cult is now worth 4 billion dollars in total assets, bullied the irs into submission granting tax exemption, and in internal policies reveals the meta goal of scientologists is to completely reign over all of mankind under the fascist rule of scientology "law". you better smarten up about these lunatics. you are their enemy.

Dianetics can relieve emotional pain. The theories are expansive rather than constrictive such as you'd find in psychology. One says we are spirits having a human experience, the other says a bunch of goo evolved until finally it became aware. One seeks to extrovert a person, the other says you are only a physical body, thus introverting. Psychology would not accept anything other than their own scam and actively fought against other thought systems or experiences. They are entrenched. So Scientology got around that by becoming a religion; they ended up dealing in spirit after all anyway. Because the theories expand rather than restrict, it opens up the possibility of things like reincarnation. Here's where it went off the rails: Bring someone in off the street and tell them past lives may be possible and next week they remember being some famous or important person generations ago. It won't be long, turns out, others will get into it to prey on these people. Scientology is a cult because it attracted people who would be in a cult and most of them are playing make-believe. They probably were before they found Scientology. Truth is, humanity as a whole can't handle it. In fact, maybe Ron Hubbard couldn't handle it and certainly those currently in control. It can make you stronger. That doesn't say you'll grow a halo, always make the right decisions, or understand the underlying truth of every situation. Ron Hubbard was definitely a 'do as I say not as I do' kind of guy. He flat-out told everybody that. So he understood our predicament.

Yeah, I did dianetics for years. I never felt better, it's the best, anyone that disagrees or hasn't tried it really shouldn't say negative things about it. Like, I keep hearing people talk bad about the black and jew, but have they tried a jew or a black? No. they can
t know, so they shouldn't say that bad things about them, they didn
t try them, so they shouldnt sasy it

as a scientologist myself and been in the church for quite awhile it really blows my mind that the media blows it out of proportion. Hubbard wrote alot more than just science fiction he actually wrote westerns and romances too :) now in scientology there is no dogma or doctrine its mostly about knowing yourself as a spiritual being living in the physical universe and learning how life works. and by the way there is no xenu on the OT levels or in any of the scientology books in the churches i sorta laughed when i first heard that story on the net lol. anything you want to know thats on the OT levels can actually be found in Hubbard's books "Scientology: A History of Man" and "The Creation of Human Ability" and also scientology is actually not as expensive as the media tells you its less than $10,000 and alot of stuff is actually FREE :)
