- Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tours/JAWS! was an attraction at Universal Orlando until it closed permanently on January 2nd, 2012. The ride was led by a boat skipper who would spiel a scripted interaction with the guests and the "unfolding events". This video intends to show the attraction without the skipper, rather focusing on the sound effects and soundtrack created specifically for this experience.
Skipper-Hey everybody and welcome to Captain Jakes Amity Boat Tours. Were the best and only scenic cruse on the island my name is _______ and I'll be your skipper today as we visit the actual spots in 1974 that bad old shark Jaws devoured all those poor innocent islanders. Now the first sight of interest over here on our portside is the home of our very own chief of police, Martin Broody. Broody willing to blow up that shark and became a legend in his own time. Roy Shieder played him in the movie they made of our little shark episode. How many of you saw the film jaws? Lucky. You got to watch the movie, we had to live through...
Gordon-Mayday, Mayday. This is Amity 3 something's out there. I don't know what, No No, Help Help, its going under the boat. OOOOOOWWWW OOOOOOOOWWWWW OOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW
Skipper-Amity 6 to base did you copy that transmission it sounded like Gordon on Amity 3.
Base-a 10 4 we copy. He can't be too far away he was heading back in. were picking up his distress signal now. Keep an eye out for him. I'll call chief broody. Base Clear.
Skipper-10 4 folks it seems one of our tour boats ran into a little. Oh I cant believe this. What happened? Amity 6 to base Amity 3 is sinking by the light house. I don't see any survivors. I don't know what could've done this....except a shark.(shark Fin up)

Anybody in hear? (Falling and water sounds) whoa. Did you hear something.(roar and crashing) ah. That's it we got to go. Oh no. Oh it won't drop into gear. Aw common man this isn't funny. Common . Got it! Hang on were out of here. Look out! (shark jumps out on the right of the boat)
Chief Broody-Amity 6 this is chief broody, I'm on my way, I'll be there in ten minutes.
Skipper-ten minutes? Well be shark bait in ten minutes! Oh where is he? I don't see him. What the! (shark pop up on left side of boat oil rig starts burning and falling apart covering way through) Oh no, oh no! oh man this is very bad. We got to go for it. Yes! We made it. Hold every buddy we and the ship were gonna be ok. A were gonna try to get off at that old fishing dock, we'll unload one row at a time and, oh watch those high voltage bars please remain seated arms and legs inside the boat, we should be able to get off right here, Oh no. Look! (Shark fin appears heading towards boat and wires.) its gonna get us! Its gonna get us.(boat next to high voltage wires shark goes up and bites wires vicious attack, wires electrocute shark. shark goes down and comes back up disgusting and dead.) boy that thing is disgusting, we sure roasted him didn't we? Oh man what a day!

Skipper-Base, Chief, this is Amity 6, call off the marines! Were coming home! Ladies and Gentleman, I really wanna thank you for your incredible Bravery Today. You know we probably don't need to tell anybody what happened out there, I mean if word got out of this little fish episode that would be it for captain Jake and all the other businesses around here. So keep it to yourselves. I mean after all, we did get him didn't we? @RyanWilliams - That's simply ridiculous. Sharks have NO vocal chords. No matter HOW big they are. Size doesn't change the basic anatomy of an animal.
The entire Jaws Ride is realistically speaking ridiculous. When attacked by a shark, the skipper could just steer the boat to the shore.

Is it normal that you see the Gasdock Shark from the boat at 3:44 ? I think that ruins the entire scene because there is no shock effect and you know exactly where the shark is

@@Joeyfordayz2301 Definetley, I was always wondering how the sharks looked in idle mode from an underwater perspective and how the reset would look ( you can see Fin 3 Reset from above in 4:20 )Too bad there was no enthusiast that stuck an action camera under the water while on the ride back then. But I don’t think you would have seen much given the murky water condition.

I Hate Universal
To be fair the ride was only getting mediocre attendance and was a nightmare to maintain.It sucks that it had to go but I can't really blame them for that decision.
I doubt it would get them as much money as Harry Potter. Don't get me wrong Jaws is a more important film than any of the Potter film, but as an overall franchise Potter is much bigger. With the ride's age, costly maintenance and poor attendance, they were likely looking for any excuse to ditch it.
