3:04 there’s a jump cut here that skips the cover snapping into place. It really didn’t want to go together, but I put back together a little loose, and it snapped into place when I used the button. Just a note for anybody else who gets stuck at this part. Thanks for the video!
My buddies was slightly different but with your video I just fixed his in 10 minutes he couldn't shift into park car was stuck in drive & neutral and his key fob wouldn't release from the dash. With your video all is fixed and works as it should. He was worried someone was gonna steal his ride. He drove it a few days without park. So again thank you for you vids
Awesome. Mine was slightly different, but after opening, I was able to feed a zip tie behind it (won't scratch) to enable me to reassemble and still pull the button out when I needed to install.
I don't think they sell that ring separately... You have to purchase the full shift knob assembly which makes it a expensive fix. This is what I decided to go OEM plus and get the carbon fiber

Please help! I have an led shifter knob for a VW. The led screen is on top so I don't know if it's possible to fix.

Does the leather with the RS cap like is in your thumbnail come off the same way as you described in this video
I'm not too sure but it should be able to be separated just the same. Usually adhesive is holding it together
