I've had a $200 Echo 14" for about 4 years, and it's a beast. Always starts. Thinning, felling, firewood harvesting - even dropped a 22" dead Cottonwood. One new bar so far (Oregon). New plug and air filter as needed. Sharpen the chain after an hour's cutting or so (Juniper, Oak, Apple). Pre-mix 50:1 fuel. Next saw may be a Stihl (my last Stihl made it 30 years, and a guy bought it from me), or may be another Echo. At my age, it may be battery-powered.

I have an MS 400 for big fallen trees, but the saws use most often is my MSA 220.
It wasn’t cheap with two batteries and a charger, but for me, it was money well spent!

I'd rather have too much saw than not enough. MS660 for me❤

Question: I want a gas chainsaw, for general work. I work in lawn maintenance, mostly trimming and that kind of stuff. ¿What model, do you recommend and why? I mostly i gonna use it for clearing branches.

Many of my landscape contractors run either the MS251 or the MS194T. The 251 will take down the backyard fruit tree that got a little big. The 194 is light and nimble. Great for limb work

If u only interested in clearing branches a stihl 180 is plenty big enough for you . A251 is much to big and cost u a small fortune round $1000 Australian! Very important with u saw "keep a sharp chain " regards Gunter
