    Really inspired by all your work Law, This 35yr old is back on blades now too, and in no small part its down to your content. thanks for the nudge! had my first roll out last night on an age old pair of argon 3.1s, it was a hoot. switched in some antirockers and I am heading to the skate park tonight! wish me luck!

      Thanks for watching, and welcome back! So amazing you on some Argons, those things must be 20+! Lemme know when you’re ready to upgrade, I’ll get you some recommendations.

      Back to Blading I’ve actually took the plunge, I wanted to some USD VIIs but they are scarce in the Uk in my size.
      Was very close to a K2 as I used to ride Style points bob back when (man I wish I still had those skates, they got stolen ) but then Roces dropped the news of the new 5th.
      I had to get in on that, so pre ordered. Hopefully they will ship soon.
      Keep up the vids, your stuff is great!
      And yeah those Argon are from 97/98, but they are still going and solid as a rock haha (frames are so damn tall though)

      Pro trick : you can watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.

    I used to skate when I was 15, 34 now and a dad... My son has just started going to the skate park on his scooter, so tempted to start Skating again! Inspiring, keep going bro! Fancy sponsoring another dad returning to skating? Lol 😂

      Been looking at some Roces M12 Lo's but to be fair I'm used to 4 full sized wheels, wonder how it feels with the grind wheels in... I used to skate on Inline Aggressors and the soul plate was huge! How do you like the M12's?

    Just picked up my first ever pair of skates 2 weeks ago. Didn’t know what to buy, did a lot of reading and decided on some F4 Ravens. Since then I have absolutely fell in love with skating. Even reinstalled my TH-cam app to find more about this community. You are the 3rd skater I have followed. Anyways, I’m really considering buying a pair of aggressive skates. I’ll take the next few months to get really comfortable on my Ravens though. I’ve been thinking about a pair of Roces M12’s but I don’t understand all of the different frames, wheels, and types of setups that come with aggressive skating. Well, I hope you continue to progress and keep up theae videos!

      Welcome! Skating is a great form of exercise, physical and mental. Glad you found it.
      M12s are a great aggressive skate to start with. I’d look for one of the pro models, Nils Jansens or Joe Atkinson. They’ll have 8 wheels and a better frame and liner than the low end model.

    Recent learn for me was backside grinds are so much more solid by locking the knees closer together. Like an upside down V from the knees down rather than the hips. Not touching knees obviously, just thighs more aligned straight. This stops the drag of the back foot and causes you to slide evenly.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll give that a shot next time.

    When I miss topsides on quarter I nearly die. I don't do topsides ever so trying to gets me really twisted up and hurt... I thought it was just funny that you said people just kind of slide out... and that's what I keep hearing and seeing, but I just fly off head over heels sort of thing.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I’m not a good person to ask since I’m horrible at coping. I think if you carve correctly you won’t have a problem, but I need to improve.

    BS royal 4 and 5 were money, the angle of the camera also really show how the groove in the soul plate locks in and marries the coping profile.
    On a side note there is a guy called matt Burke who is also documenting his struggle with riding coping. (on YT)

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I hope to get more consistent with practice. I know when they feel right.
      I’ll find Matt, thanks!

    Great tips! I'm back in after about 15 years out of the game. Pants are a hell of a lot tighter these days which make knee pads more of an issue for me. Are you wearing some thin protection on your knees that fit under your pants?

    If I were to order some 50/50 wheels could you advise what size would fit on my 15 year old salomon st70s with the stock frames? The wheels I think were 56mm but can make it out.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they fit 58s, but not much larger.
