But TK gene is involved in salvage pathway of nucleotide synthesis.. if in normal gene tk doesn't present how they are going to perform DNA replication?! As after HR, TK will not be inserted into the target gene...
Hmm.... I'm not sure but just trying to make a point actually this was my question too.... But as host gene itself might have the tk gene therefore host cell might have made tk ... And then there wouldn't be any problem to continue the salvage pathway of nucleotide synthesis 🙂hope you got what I'm trying to say
