Reed relay and reed switches
A reed relay is a type of relay that uses an electromagnet to control one or more reed switches. The contacts are of magnetic material and the electromagnet acts directly on them without requiring an armature to move them. in other words.. A reed relay, which uses an electromagnet to control one or several reed switches, has contacts which are mounted on magnetic reeds that are scaled into a long narrow glass tube. An actuating coil is wound on an auxiliary ferrite-core structure or around the glass tube in order to provide the magnetic field that is required for the relay to operate... I took a small reed switch taken from a battery operated light. So it was a normally closed switch...I connected it to multimeter to check it's connectivity and used a LEd to check the connectivity. And as soon as I disconnected the reed switch it turned into normal open. How can this be possible ? Not it has totally changed. Does a reed switch changes on its own ?

2 wire reed switch me jaise hi ham supply dete hai 3v ya 5v aur contect bante hi doosre wire se vahi supply hame output me milti hai. to fir isme lagi LED kaise glow ho jati hai.
