Great show. used to watch it when I was kid. I'm 63 now and still brings back warm memories. On a side note, the "son" in this episode also played the young man who waited outside Yankee Stadium for Lou Gehrig in the "Pride of the Yankees". He had been a boy in the hospital who couldn't walk and Gehrig promised to hit a homerun for him in the World Series only if the boy promised him that he would walk again. He went there to tell him that he never gave up in his belief that he would walk again.
Well, that downhill journey began with the airing of the first episode of the 1976-80 ABC soap opera series titled “family”. Then “ROSEANNE” kicked things into gear by taking away ratings from decent sitcoms such as “MR. BELVEDERE” and “BLOSSOM”. And “FAMILY GUY” is just going too far because network executives are following the philosophies of Karl Marx and Lenin nowadays.
Only if just after this show, they follow up with the classic 1967-68 CBS 90MIN western series titled “CIMARRON STRIP” starring the late actor Stuart Whitman as U.S. Marshal Jim Crown.
Good old Sam the bartender was obviously a white sheep relative of Cavendish’s. Also, Strange is known for his brief stint as the Frankenstein monster in the classic movie “ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN” with appearances by Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Chaney, Jr., as The Wolfman, and an uncredited voice appearance by Vincent Price as The Invisible Man.
@@LindaCooper-i3f Another thing about Glen: His ancestry is Cherokee and Irish. "Strange" is his surname from his dad (William Strange). Maybe Jay and Glen talked about it, but just a guess.

“PRIDE OF THE YANKEES” is obviously up for an 85TH Anniversary theatrical re-release in 2026.
Best show when I was a kid.
Ditto.
So much better than the trash on TV now.

Me TV should have this show on and get rid of two hours of MASH.
I agree with you but MASH is a pretty good show so maybe replace something else
I agree with you!
A GOOD Vido

Like for example, “GREEN ACRES”?
Glen Strange (1899 -- 1973) is Butch Cavendish in the Lone Ranger. He was also the Bartender in Gunsmoke.

🤠🐴Thank you ❤👍
Likewise.
I believe that there is a large housing estate behind Lone Ranger Rock now.
It’s a possibility.
Besides, by now Corriganville has grown up a lot since then obviously.
These shows were 1000 times better than the movies.
Even the ones in which Clayton Moore portrayed The Lone Ranger in 1956 as well as 1958?
@@VENOMS_WRAITH I totally agree with you!
Good grief.
The man that killed The Rangers brother
And all the other members of the Ranger Company.
The LR and Tonto never accept monetary gifts . So where do they get money to survive?
Their money comes from the Lone Ranger's silver mine.
To which the entrance thereof is thoroughly concealed by a cabin.
Just think he is the man that made
The lone ranger
So the ranger has to.get him for killing his brother an in way taking away his life
Actually, he’d rather let a jury make that decision, thereby keeping it within the law.
Las películas eran mas del este eran más bonitas
Si.
So much better than the trash on TV now.
Especially “FAMILY GUY”, and the same thing goes for the 1976-80 ABC soap opera series titled “family”.
