I put some map buoys along the edge of the deep water so I can see where the deeper places are. I use the kayak to position me so I can cast along the edge of the deep pool, parallel to the shore. I've caught plenty of walleye in that area. BTW you can drop anchor with the Z key.

Good question! Not in any place, I don't believe you can use one at Lonestar either. When you look at a map, if you can use a boat, you will see a little icon that looks like a kayaker rowing. ;)

how to get a fishing rod. when I have rented a kayak then I can only paddle I can not get my rods. why? do I have to wear a life jacket or why is it not possible .. hope for an answer.
I think the tackle you use matters. I make more with my spinning reel and lures than on my bottom rods with minnows. Using lighter line and leader on the spinning reel. Both are still money makers though.

On PC I believe you have to hit ‘R’ to switch to casting mode. There should be a button for it on console too
