Lost a salmon and fell in again. Great night by the river with Orla. Fishing, Atlantic Salmon Fishing, Fly Fishing, River Tay, Salmon Fishing, Scottish Salmon Fishing, Fishing Videos.
Another nice video Ian and a real pity the grilse came off! Great to see Orla enjoying being with you down the river. A pity many youngsters don't appreciate the beauty and the experience of being in a place like that.. Thanks
Thanks 👍 more kids should be spending time in settings like that. Its a pity more aren't interested, hopefully the fishing will improve and they can get into it easier.
I I had a £ for every time you've says bugger this season I could afford a October day on the river lol. ( joking) nice video mate it's the story's and family time that count.! Tight lines 🎣 🎣
Good to see some summer fish about good cathces this week the stone throwing thing was athing iused to do as a baillife at the back end when we were trying to get fish for the hatchery
Yes decent catches compared to the rest of the season. Hopefully I'll come across one at some point. It was funny with the stones, the ghillie went daft 🤣
We've all fallen in once or twice 😂. Hard luck on loosing that one. Good job you saw some I had two days on the Findhorn last week and never saw a fish unheard of for this time of year. Sorry I never managed to get a cast with you this week was too busy unfortunately.
Quite the day . A swing and a miss a little dip in the river some candy eating competition with your daughter with some stone throwing to help conger up a kraken and talking to by the gillie . Sounds like you had some fun . Thanks for sharing 🥃
Hi thanks for watching. I'm not sure to be honest if they are bifringent. They are loop ones. I previously lost pir of Maui Jim's and will be replacing the loop ones for another pair of them because they were far superior
Good vid thanks for sharing 🏴 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great video as always, unlucky not to connect fully!
Thanks, it's always frustrating when they don't stick 😒
@@scottishoutdoorlife Yes, tell me about it! lol
Charming video. Sums up my season so far. Thanks very much.
Great video as always , really love seeing that line fly out , what line are you using at the minute on what set up ??
Hi thanks for watching, yeah it's been a tough one all round, hopefully we get into a few in the last couple of months 👍
Thanks Chris it's a 15ft Loomis NRX rod and a Rio Long Head Spey line with 5ft of Airflo slow sink tip 👍
@@scottishoutdoorlife thought it must be a long head line , what weight rating is the set up , looks fantastic 👍👍
Hi its a 10/11. Thanks

Thanks Toby, it's certainly worrying, lots like of rivers are really struggling at the moment, km sure we'll catch up somewhere sometime. 👍
Nice piece of river and at least some fish to be seen. What's the tidal range where you were fishing?
Hi the last area affected by the tide is about 3/4 of a mile downstream of where I was fishing. Thanks for watching 👍

That’s alot of water to cover with a fly…
Hi thanks for watching. Yes it's a long cast for sure. 👍
Hard luck mate, that’s a floating lake not a river.. 😲.
Ah it's just a burn to us 🤣
🤍🩶🩵💙❤️👍
Thanks for watching Joan 👍
Ian, what's the make and model of your specs. Are they bifringent. I've got a pair of Oakley's with expensive Polaroid lenses but I don't rate them.
