Best design ever, the only way to make a transformation look stronger than SSJ3 was to make it look more beastly, they got the assignment right 10/10 I'd like to see something similar for Daima, a redesign to fit the chibby style of the main cast
GT has always been my favorite, honestly cried when the last episode aired. My childhood literally ended. And still do this day hold it close to my heart, almost 30 years old.

Because even though SDBH is not considered canon to the main series it is a proven fact the both xeno Goku (GT) and Goku (Super) at their peak power ie Blue/SS4 are evenly matched and then when they both went limit breaker SS4 (aka the super saiyan 4 version of UI omen) against UI Omen Goku they were still even before Goku (Super) went MUI to defeat Xeno Goku and that was just barely a win he got before both clasped due to exhaustion.
I think people just had to be there. GT was so special and my god that ending is one of the best in anime history. Fight me. This is the best transformation in the series because it was a return to who the saiyans really were. I loce super saiyan, but taking away their tails was something i always hated. It clearly showed them not human. Once it was taken away they really just became really strong humans.

The reason Vegeta didn't become a Primal Saiyan is because. At the time he was a SSJ he never had a tail and he never used the Oozaru form ever again. That whole "because he didn't have enough training" is bs, Vegeta would've been the fist to transform into Primal Saiyan if he had a tail. Goku's ass-pull tail makes sense, considering he was wished back as a kid before he got the surgery to remove his tail as a teen/adult.

I eventually took Super Saiyan 4 as a True Super Saiyan 2. If Super Saiyan can have grades or sub-variants then we could almost consider any 'yellow' haired transformations as one sub-type then a transformation that also changes the body could just be the actual next 'form'. Back in the the day this was almost backed up by the GT fusion of Goku and Vegeta, their fusion having a new hair color, implying that they were ascended from that, perhaps Super Saiyan 2 grade 1 as they used a lot of power and used up the fusion time( so not mastered, yet )

The way I see it, SS4's insane power increase is because it's a multiplier of your max power level, not your base. Take SS3 Kid Goku, and multiply his power by 10. That gets you Golden Oozaru, and when they can control that power they get SS4. Also, while it's just my headcanon, I love how it was hinted Goku killed Grandpa Gohan when he transformed into an Oozaru, and Goku finally being able to control that form brings Dragon Ball full circle. That's a chef's kiss usage of Chekhov's Smoking Gun.
It would be multiplied by 10 and 50 because it's stacking ssj and Oozaru. ssj is a 50 times multiplier and Oozaru is 10 times multiplier like you stated, so both would be stacked on top of their max which makes sense because potara fusion takes the max power of both People's highest forms fuses them the multiplies it specifically dozens of times.
I never saw the form as controversial before (aside from the usual power-scaling debates). However, now that I watched the video, I can see why it’d seem that way. Conceptually, Super Saiyan 4 is a fascinating realm of power that opens a gateway of possibilities and applications. However, as you said, it came out of nowhere, which isn't inherently bad, but it left questions we’d never get answers to. It wasn't explained that well - a fault I won’t dismiss. The build-up toward it seemed non-existent, now that I think about it. Even so, it did seem fitting, given the circumstances of its requirement. DragonBall is known for its transformations, after all. Even if it seems poorly explained, it somehow works in some cases. However, I’ll digress as I don't know what else to say that you already addressed. This video was great, and I will watch the second part once it’s released. Keep it up, Saiyan Scholar.

The confusing part for me about this Transformation is Do you still need other Super Saiyan transformations Variants (Ssj1 Ssj2 Ssj3) before achieving this form Cuz the only requirement is transforming to a Golden Oozaru then control it then Boom Super Saiyan 4💀 Like what stopping the other Saiyans of transforming with such minimal requirements
It is a different branch from the original Super Saiyan line. No, you don't need SS2 and 3 for 4, just like you don't need them to reach SS Blue. Make sense? And the requirements are more stringent than people realize. Not only does a Saiyan need to have a human heart (that is rare enough), they also need to have pure Saiyan blood, which hybrids do not have. Baby inhibited Vegeta from going SS4, but Baby has the same exact cells as King Tuffle. So evidently when Saiyan blood is diluted it is unable to tap into the full primal power of the Saiyan race. Only Goku and Vegeta qualify to use SS4. Yep, pretty rare indeed!

@@azimuddin1890 Well, remember that it was not Golden Oozaru that Baby Vegeta was unable to reach (or other SS forms if you read the GT Perfect Files), it was SS4 that was restricted because of the mixed blood. This would suggest that the same is true for other hybrids, like Gohan or Trunks. Can't prove it, but it seems reasonable.

Ever since Super Hero came out, I was liking an idea that others probably came up with about Gohan. He used the ultimate or mystic powers to transform into beast gohan. As we all know. What if he was able to use that form with his saiyan power to become Super Saiyan 4.
I think the name I came up with, Primal Super Saiyajin fits more because it’s so different than the previous golden hair forms, but 4 still makes sense and makes the form feel more powerful, and making it so different also shows that.
I like the idea and logic behind ss4 being a way to stack attained power and it boosting that power. For instance the level of power goku and vegeta had attained before GT, produced a certain power level of ss4 when they transformed into it. So theoretically if goku and vegeta were to attain ss4 in super after gaining even greater power such a transformation would be even more powerful. I love all the newer transformation but they all bow down to ss4 in design with UI and UE being a little closer. But that red hair yellow aura gogeta is the chef’s kiss.
SS4 is 2nd best SS form after SSFP because both forms are more than mere limit breaks like other forms. And yea, God Ki is poorly written, so i dont count DBS

Imo Ssj4 is still a better design than Super Saiyan God or SSGSS, i feel like SSJ4 is what super saiyan god should’ve been and probably would’ve been had GT not existed, it’s design makes sense as the perfect example of the great ape form fused with their base form while super saiyan god is just a color change to the regular super saiyan blonde. Super completely missed the ball by not going beyond the normal super saiyan look when going blue, just imagine ssj3 with god ki or if Ssj4 was finally made canon and given god ki, it would’ve been the revival of the series way better than what dbs super achieved.

I disagree with Super Saiyan 2 coming out of nowhere. While I do agree that the name wasn't made a big factor until the Buu arc, the form was the payoff for objective of surpassing Super Saiyan that out characters worked on since losing to Android 17 & 18. Training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber created forms such as SSJ grade 2 that Vegeta used and SSJ grade 3 that Trunks used but Goku pointed out that each of them have drawbacks that don't complete that objective such as grade 2 having the excess use of energy and grade 3 having more power through muscle mass but lack of speed to land a hit. Gohan's form accomplishes the surpassing Super Saiyan objective by eliminating those previous drawbacks to defeat Cell.
Ss4 was a great overall concept, but the main aspect of it being so baddass was it's true feral aspect, which they also conveniently dropped the ball in conveniently adding clothing into the transformation.... Which made zero sense, because as I recall, Piccolo and Buu were the only characters capable of creating clothing out of thin air.... The fact they decided to sailor moon transform clothing into ss4 made me cringe to no end...
Ssj4 can be in super, best way to integrate is preparing for next tournament Goku and vegeta has whis bring broly to train, broly in legendary ssj form going toe and toe with ultra ego and instinc gets uppercutted looks at moon and boom golden oozuro broly being ssj4 keeps that legendary status and serves us fans 💪🏾
I think the naming of super sayans in linear form was a bad decision. I think ssj3 is more of a technique than a transformation. Vegeta passed ssj3 with just ssj2 when beruus hit bulma and he didn't "transform" it's just some kind of technique goku invented similar to kiaoken. Which makes sense since it rapidly drains energy in exchange for power. A perfected kiaoken that doesn't hurt the body but still has a drawback. I think if gt hadn't finished we would have been the supersayan ontop of the "ssj4" with a golden hair "ssj4" and it would be called ssj5 or something. But yeah going by numerical naming was stupid and like shooting themselves in the foot.
SSJ4 is a form that goku has literally pulled out of his ass that being said da monke shows up and wins his fights unlike SSJ blue in super SSJ 4 is a for done properly
No ssj4 is not the combination of ssj and great ape because if ssj3 goku barely did a thing to baby vegeta how would a 25% increase do a thing so the golden oozaru is ssj3 with great ape

Or can you pretty please point out what mortals, Angels, Fallen Angels, and Demons from the Warrior of Zera Archetype actually look like if they would have been able to kick the respective Butts of some of the DBS characters at the very least? As so many of the old School Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Cards have way better designs than almost all of the character designs from DBS in general.

Don't worry what I say. I'm a GT Fan that states facts and know the pros and cons. In games and recent media SS4 and Blue are on par. If you power scale GT and Super, the jumps happen different and overtake each other at different points so it's unclear. But thank you for the support.
What I do like about Super Saiyan 4 1. Incredible design. 2. Unique power and attacks What I don't like about Super Saiyan 4 1. Poor execution 2. Flat writing 3. Weak emotional impact 4. No build-up This makes Super Saiyan 4 far worse than Super Saiyan Blue. A cool looking transformation far worse than a Super Saiyan recolor. But hey, that's just my opinion, you can agree or disagree and I won't mind.
Supersayan blue is way weaker than SSj4 writing wise. I mean, I guess it makes sense that you can stack the original Supersayan on top of god ki, but that’s all there was to it. Goku just invented it because it made sense and thereby Supersayan 3 and Supersayan god became useless. Supersayan 4 is way more cathartic. Goku and Vegeta after years upon years have finally managed to combine their Sayan heritage with their good character and become something, that none else has ever achieved, a hybrid of Supersayan and Oozaru. Instead of pushing to greater heights by screaming some more or doing a dumb ritual, SSj4 was achieved via catharsis and introspection.
Oke.....lets go through it. 1- execution. Goku struggling and all his power so far is for null. Baby mentioning and dragging vegetas sayan power making him far stronger Goku goin through an entire Arc to get his tail back as the kai said Sayans primal power is related to their tail. Goku being in his last leg getting a power up from the blue light of earth Which goku grew up in and his love for his family and him transforming in to a Great Ap out of control for only later to gain control of it. This cover your 4th point about build up 2- falt writing Complete new from never seen before new abilities A COMPLETEL NEW PERSONALITY far more serious and him drawing the primal power of sayan power the perfect transformation a perfect body and the perfect evolution of what sayanas actually are and what they used to be an how ozaru was used. 3. Far more emotional impact then any SJgod form except maybe Omen UI. Sj blue red and whatever were absolute all pulls and a new hair recolor. THEY AIN'T EVEN IN THE SAME RELAM OF HOW MUCH BETTER SJ4 is as a transformation

And the requirements are more stringent than people realize. Not only does a Saiyan need to have a human heart (that is rare enough), they also need to have pure Saiyan blood, which hybrids do not have.
Baby inhibited Vegeta from going SS4, but Baby has the same exact cells as King Tuffle. So evidently when Saiyan blood is diluted it is unable to tap into the full primal power of the Saiyan race. Only Goku and Vegeta qualify to use SS4.

Hmm, I don’t agree that hybrids can’t obtain the form either, Gohan had a tail once, and he transformed into an Oozaru like two times, and another time in the Tree of Might movie. So I think hybrids can become S.S.4.
@@azimuddin1890 Well, remember that it was not Golden Oozaru that Baby Vegeta was unable to reach (or other SS forms if you read the GT Perfect Files), it was SS4 that was restricted because of the mixed blood. This would suggest that the same is true for other hybrids, like Gohan or Trunks. Can't prove it, but it seems reasonable.

There is one other person I can think of who could reach SS4 (theoretically) 🤔, and that's Tarble, but he doesn't meet all the requirements.
Ever since Super Hero came out, I was liking an idea that others probably came up with about Gohan. He used the ultimate or mystic powers to transform into beast gohan. As we all know. What if he was able to use that form with his saiyan power to become Super Saiyan 4.

I think the name I came up with, Primal Super Saiyajin fits more because it’s so different than the previous golden hair forms, but 4 still makes sense and makes the form feel more powerful, and making it so different also shows that.
I like the idea and logic behind ss4 being a way to stack attained power and it boosting that power. For instance the level of power goku and vegeta had attained before GT, produced a certain power level of ss4 when they transformed into it. So theoretically if goku and vegeta were to attain ss4 in super after gaining even greater power such a transformation would be even more powerful. I love all the newer transformation but they all bow down to ss4 in design with UI and UE being a little closer. But that red hair yellow aura gogeta is the chef’s kiss.
I always wondered if Elder Kai and Guru unlocked every ounce of power on SS4 Goku plus the Kaioken if it would be near Limit Breaker level power

Imo Ssj4 is still a better design than Super Saiyan God or SSGSS, i feel like SSJ4 is what super saiyan god should’ve been and probably would’ve been had GT not existed, it’s design makes sense as the perfect example of the great ape form fused with their base form while super saiyan god is just a color change to the regular super saiyan blonde. Super completely missed the ball by not going beyond the normal super saiyan look when going blue, just imagine ssj3 with god ki or if Ssj4 was finally made canon and given god ki, it would’ve been the revival of the series way better than what dbs super achieved.

I disagree with Super Saiyan 2 coming out of nowhere. While I do agree that the name wasn't made a big factor until the Buu arc, the form was the payoff for objective of surpassing Super Saiyan that out characters worked on since losing to Android 17 & 18. Training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber created forms such as SSJ grade 2 that Vegeta used and SSJ grade 3 that Trunks used but Goku pointed out that each of them have drawbacks that don't complete that objective such as grade 2 having the excess use of energy and grade 3 having more power through muscle mass but lack of speed to land a hit. Gohan's form accomplishes the surpassing Super Saiyan objective by eliminating those previous drawbacks to defeat Cell.
Ss4 was a great overall concept, but the main aspect of it being so baddass was it's true feral aspect, which they also conveniently dropped the ball in conveniently adding clothing into the transformation.... Which made zero sense, because as I recall, Piccolo and Buu were the only characters capable of creating clothing out of thin air.... The fact they decided to sailor moon transform clothing into ss4 made me cringe to no end...
Ssj4 can be in super, best way to integrate is preparing for next tournament Goku and vegeta has whis bring broly to train, broly in legendary ssj form going toe and toe with ultra ego and instinc gets uppercutted looks at moon and boom golden oozuro broly being ssj4 keeps that legendary status and serves us fans 💪🏾

I think the naming of super sayans in linear form was a bad decision. I think ssj3 is more of a technique than a transformation. Vegeta passed ssj3 with just ssj2 when beruus hit bulma and he didn't "transform" it's just some kind of technique goku invented similar to kiaoken. Which makes sense since it rapidly drains energy in exchange for power. A perfected kiaoken that doesn't hurt the body but still has a drawback. I think if gt hadn't finished we would have been the supersayan ontop of the "ssj4" with a golden hair "ssj4" and it would be called ssj5 or something. But yeah going by numerical naming was stupid and like shooting themselves in the foot.

Don't worry what I say. I'm a GT Fan that states facts and know the pros and cons. In games and recent media SS4 and Blue are on par. If you power scale GT and Super, the jumps happen different and overtake each other at different points so it's unclear.

This makes Super Saiyan 4 far worse than Super Saiyan Blue. A cool looking transformation far worse than a Super Saiyan recolor. But hey, that's just my opinion, you can agree or disagree and I won't mind.

Supersayan blue is way weaker than SSj4 writing wise. I mean, I guess it makes sense that you can stack the original Supersayan on top of god ki, but that’s all there was to it. Goku just invented it because it made sense and thereby Supersayan 3 and Supersayan god became useless. Supersayan 4 is way more cathartic. Goku and Vegeta after years upon years have finally managed to combine their Sayan heritage with their good character and become something, that none else has ever achieved, a hybrid of Supersayan and Oozaru. Instead of pushing to greater heights by screaming some more or doing a dumb ritual, SSj4 was achieved via catharsis and introspection.
Oke.....lets go through it.

Baby mentioning and dragging vegetas sayan power making him far stronger Goku goin through an entire Arc to get his tail back as the kai said Sayans primal power is related to their tail. Goku being in his last leg getting a power up from the blue light of earth Which goku grew up in and his love for his family and him transforming in to a Great Ap out of control for only later to gain control of it.
