Polyurethane Resin works great for projects you want to paint afterwards. Such as figurines, or for casting parts for repair jobs. Although not new to the market, glad to see Let's Resin offering it now. Alumilite has carried it for years.
I couldn't even get it mixed, colorants, etc. added, and poured into my molds in just ten minutes. After all, patience IS something very valuable in life! This instant gratification is not good for society. It's up to us adults to teach the next generation that they need to love life, not to just push it by so fast they lose the enjoyment of the moment.
I think if you want color you're going to have to mix it into one part first before adding the second part, keeping in mind it's going to end up pastel in the end and adjusting accordingly. Would probably work best in dusted molds. Let's Resin has a metallic flake that you can dust molds with that might work well with this, though regular leafing foils should work too. Mix for no more than two minutes. Pressure pot is probably best to use with it. Metallic or Posca pens might work on the back for jewellery pieces. Lots of options for quick projects! 😁👍
I love how it turned out and this would be amazing for those who make jewelry to sell. You can do tons. Steve McDonald uses this stuff alot. You can probably ask him how long to mix it for.
I have been using this since it was first available for purchase. Also had a blooper the first use. I love this resin. I use it for many things. Totally machinable after cured. ❤
Nah I'll be sticking to my beautiful clear resin that cures slow. I love how regular resin makes the beautiful effects when the micas and colorants blend together. You can't improve on perfect ❤
I finally found a safe resin that doesn’t cause me problems health wise. It is heat resistant and food safe but I only get 20 minutes to work with it. The first time had 12 coasters, two trivets and four paintings. It taught me not to do that again. I now mix up smaller amounts and do less things. I think I would like your dish to put little guest soaps in like flowers and hearts. Thank you Sherry.❤
@Linda O Platinum makes GREAT products (one is specifically heat/food safe), and there are 2 warehouses in the U.S., even though it comes from Australia.
@Linda O Keep in mind, NO resin is guaranteed "safe" if additions are made to the mix: pigments, powders, pastes, etc., as they have not been factory-tested for that. However, I have not found any reports that cite resin toxicity IF the resin is properly cured and UNUSED for 1 month after demolding.
It's really cool the way it cures fast. But I'm just not a fan of opaque White. I like clear so that I can use with colors and like glitter. But for more of a transparent look. Still it's really cool thanks for sharing❤ like the other lady said Aluminite has carried for years. And I think she's right with it being so opaque. This would be the kind of thing that he would paint afterwards like plasterparis figurine. That would probably really be cool to get rid of the white
I know, arghhhhh, deep casting resins are like "snail mail" - (or a TEMU shipment) lol Anxious to see how colors work with it - will they all be pastels? I don't care, I love pastels lol. Will you be doing more videos with it soon Sherry?
Alumilite also has a 10 minute set resin, which works very similarly. I've been using it for a couple of years, and love it. Let's Resin does seem to be quite a bit cheaper, though.
It’s very expensive for how much. Better to use uv resin as so much more time and colours and glitter shows up. It’s £55 on Amazon in uk for such a small amount. I can get a lot of uv resin for that amount!x
Wow, what a game changer With my extra resin that cures, I break it up to put in other resin projects, may be the blob could be broken down and used it like crushed glass on some of your paintings you do or on clear resin projects it save wasting it
I hope you have a wonderful conversation with your Dad, about this new product. 🙏🌺 So dremel the around the blob, sand it smooth. Now you have a pretty Glitter Rock Paper Weight!!!!😁
Interesting for sure - love to see you add some colour I can see how this would be great for jewelry- thanks for sharing it all! Lol White glitter poop!
I am to much of an accident waiting to happen to be able to use that. 😅. You did an excellent job tho and I sure do appreciates you showing your “happy accidents” so we actually know what to expect when we try something.
I love using pu resin. The black is great with chameleon powders and the white with ghost powders. It is better to work in smaller batches, or it overheats and turns into a solid block of poop - as you demonstrated! I also did the same when i first tried it and mixed up too much and for too long. With the one i use, It only takes around 30 - 50 seconds to mix. Great for many things, especially thinner items like bookmarks as they cure solid. Thank you for sharing x
Hi Sherry, I tried polyurathene and put colour in then put it in my bubble degaser and the resin cured so fast, and got so hot in just 3 mins and ruined my mold! My vacume machine would do nothing in only 30 sec. My product from another supplier also did not have good instructions for use.
You need to watch Claire's Crafty Corner. She used this and did it with alcohol inks. First she dropped the inks in the mold the poured the poly in it and they came out cute with the colors. Then she mixed the alcohol inks in the poly and those molds turned out really cute. Mix time is 30 seconds and working time is 2 minutes. You really need to see her video in case I missed anything
30 seconds would do nothing in a vacuum chamber and also how would you have time to put it in the chamber for 30 seconds and mix it and then get it into the mold that makes no sense... they might want to revise their instructions a bit anyway thank you Sherry for showing us❤
I don't know, Sherry. It's quick, but white? I think I'll stick to regular resin and try to work on my patience! LOL. you could paint it I guess, but why? Kinda defeats the purpose of all those gorgeous pigments! I don't think it's for me.
Hi, you don't need to warm it up. I use pu resin in the cold weather, as my flat is too cold for epoxy to cure. It's really great stuff, as long as you have everything prepared, so you can pour straight after mixing. It's hard to get used to epoxy resin again after using pu resin for the past months. If you get a chance to buy some, it's definitely worth trying. Quick to mix, quick to cure, and not a micro bubble in sight ❤
No thank you. I don't want to paint everything. Jewelry?? I add a lot of things when I do my jewelry. It would set before I filled all my molds. Then paint it all?? No thanks. Not interested.

Can it be cleaned safely using the bleach and caviwipes in hospitals?
That is crazy! If you use this, think ahead. Have everything ready! I want to try it!

It doesn’t cure fast by human design, that’s just how chemical reaction work.

Wow that stuff is magnificent!
Thank you for sharing. Your great.❤❤
Thank you for sharing this with us very helpfull 👏
What a great video love the new product
Nah I'll be sticking to my beautiful clear resin that cures slow. I love how regular resin makes the beautiful effects when the micas and colorants blend together. You can't improve on perfect ❤
I love it's shininess also but now I have two choices
Can't wait to see aquacast! This resin is awesome!
I'm watching from Spain
2min work time it tells u on front of bottle. Great idea 😊😊
Sherry watch Claire’s Crafty Corner! She has been using it for a long while. Will help answer some of your questions.
Wow that is a game changer. I would have to start working faster.
Wow! I watched the end with the blooper! How fast was that!? Thanks for always sharing the good and the bad with us. You rock!❤
I think I'll stick with the clear. Really cool!!!
Can you try dusting the mold with glitter and then adding the resin? Maybe the glitter will show better that way since it disappears when mixed. 🤔🤔
It’s amazing agree glittey paperweight ❤ ❤❤

What resin is heat resistant and food safe?
@Linda O

I saw this done by Artist til Death they did a lot of items with it. Watch and see you will love it.
Interesting, will the glitter show up more in smaller batches ???? Definitely has a place. Thanks for sharing Sherry ❤
I have tried putting it in the part b before I mix in part a. And the colours come out light but still pretty
wow that is so cool!!!
Can’t wait to try it
Hi Sherry , it says on the bottle working time 2 mins and cures in 10 mins have a great day
Sherry, I held my breath while you poured so sloooolllly. I was sure it would go white while you were still pouring it in!😂❤
I know, arghhhhh, deep casting resins are like "snail mail" - (or a TEMU shipment) lol Anxious to see how colors work with it - will they all be pastels? I don't care, I love pastels lol. Will you be doing more videos with it soon Sherry?

Crazy!! Awesome watching it cure! As you say, game changer!🎉
IS THE FINISHED RESIN FLEXIBLE, RUBBERY, PLATICY, OR HARD? NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. This resin is very hard and plasticity. Hope this helps. 🥰🇨🇦🥰🇨🇦
You can use it as a doorstop at your trailer
thanks
Interesting product for sure. I have that same mold and I love it. They sell really well with plants in them.
Wow that was awesome to watch. Thanks for sharing this ❤🎉
I hope you have a wonderful conversation with your Dad, about this new product. 🙏🌺 So dremel the around the blob, sand it smooth. Now you have a pretty Glitter Rock Paper Weight!!!!😁

Love ❤️ it !! Sounds like a game changer for something’s. Will be interesting to play with it to see
what can be done with it.
Thank you !!
Amazon says it has a 2 minute work time!😊😊
I like it ❤😊
That’s some awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Questions can you add colour to it i thought it would be clear I wish we could get it here I think customers wouldn’t let it in .

That cured so fast!! I'm worried about how quickly regular resin cures!I not saying that it isn't in my Amazon Cart Right Now!
I had to go back to the beginning and look again, bit on the box it says 2 minute working time, I guess that means mixing time.
How cool, Sheree xxx
WOW 😮 😮😮😮
I have used PU for quite a while now, I prefer black myself as I can use chameleons with it.
It’s not a blob it’s unicorn 💩 😂
Hi Sherry 🥰 great video, thanks for sharing ❤ xxx
Interesting....🤔
Been using it for months love it x
Still not available to ship to Canada....looked everywhere with let's resin
Maybe put the color/glitter in part A before you add part B🤔💖.
How would this work with projects where you wanna dust the mold first? Would it just eat up the pigment since it's so watery?
Oh Sherry... you do make me laugh 😅 ... your glitzy poop ball 😂😂😂
That new resin is gonna be fab 👌👌👌
Are you near the firers im Fromm the USA😊the smoke is here but it rain and it’s better hope you are safe
Do you think you can use regular resin over a resincrete item?
Hi Sherry…can you color this resin? Maybe darker glitters would show up better?? You could use your resin blob as a door stopper?😉
You need to watch Claire's Crafty Corner. She used this and did it with alcohol inks. First she dropped the inks in the mold the poured the poly in it and they came out cute with the colors. Here we are, 2 months later and I don’t see this product on Amazon Canada 🇨🇦 😮 This is what I need for the small parts I’m casting.
you have a lovely blob of Unicorn Poop! This is Awesome Sherry, thank you for sharing!!!!
Can you do a video using pigments
Wow its like magic haha the poop blob is hilarious. Absolutely love what u made ❤️
It's quite an artistic piece of poop!!
@@lindao7887 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Is this only available from the US Amazon? It doesn’t look like it is available on the Canadian one?
Wow! I’d like to see pigments added. Also I wonder if you can use a retarder to give a little more work time.
Very cool! Does it smell strong?
yes, curious about that because polyurethane has a strong odor.
Can you coulor it with mica powder
yes, also curious about that, if it picks up the mica
I’m the same give it to me now🥰🥰
Hmm I'm seeing it as a base, then decorating it with UV resin.
I saw another video of a piece being made - it's very shiny on its own!!! It was gorgeous!
It’s not a glittery blob but instead a glittery paperweight!!! Another happy accident 😅
Hmmmmmm, interesting.
30 seconds would do nothing in a vacuum chamber and also how would you have time to put it in the chamber for 30 seconds and mix it and then get it into the mold that makes no sense... they might want to revise their instructions a bit anyway thank you Sherry for showing us❤
I look it up says to mix 15 seconds
What is the mix/work time?❤️
10 mins
Work time is only seconds. It's fully cured in 10 minutes. Watch her blooper at the end.
Mines a different polyurethane I use I get mine from ebay so mine is longer and I colour mine
❤
I don't know, Sherry. It's quick, but white? I think I'll stick to regular resin and try to work on my patience! LOL. you could paint it I guess, but why? Kinda defeats the purpose of all those gorgeous pigments! I don't think it's for me.
❤❤❤
My wifi has died got to wait tell Monday new box on it way.
glitterific poop ROTFL Look, just throw a little top hat on it and put it out as a melted snowman this Christmas! LOL
Why is it not clear? It turned white
Just call it Unicorn Poop. neat stuff tho
Apparently we are a victims to our lack of patience--LOL
It’s frosty’s poop 😂😂
Not enough time to create, curing time is too fast, I take it that you won't be able to warm it up in a warm bath when your resin is too cold to mix.
Hi, you don't need to warm it up. I use pu resin in the cold weather, as my flat is too cold for epoxy to cure. 🤔Hmmm....interesting.
Ya no maybe if it cured clear
Not a fan
No thank you. I don't want to paint everything. Jewelry?? I add a lot of things when I do my jewelry. It would set before I filled all my molds. Then paint it all?? No thanks. Not interested.
