We just bought sharp(the old model because it is cheaper😅) hopefully it'll last up to my grandchildren😆 kidding aside, I bought the old model because as I heard old models are the best, not in terms of technology but in terms of durability😉
I wonder how Samsung keeps making the list. Maybe the reviewer needs to also consider, at least five years after market so that buyers can be better informed. Samsung is only good for 2years after which it becomes garbage.
Purchased my 1st Samsung in 2005. Delivery guy plugged it in. Didnt work. Back on truck. Came back with another one. New one lasted about 2 yrs or so. Then replaced under warranty. So now Im on my 3rd. After a little while this unit has the same problems. Doesnt make ice. Water under draws. Etc etc. This one also is replaced under warranty. ( so glad we purchased 5 yr extended plans) But it lasted just about 3 or 4 yrs. We've had so many parts replaced that the serviceman got tired of coming and told Lowes to replace this one also. Long story short. I lost track of how many Samsung French door 25.5 cf refrigerators we have had over a 15 yr period! its either 4 or 5! They work for a couple/few yrs and get replaced under the extended warranty. Finally I just smartened up and purchased a different brand! Lowes is terrific with the warranty though.
Yeah you are right ,I have a sumsung and only need the door switch replacement ,I call the company upand was told no parts sales to customer only to their own outsource vender ..Bullshit brand
Old name of Panasonic is National. We still use the National refrigerator. It's going strong for almost 20 years now. I don't know about their current products as Panasonic but hoping it is as good

Agreed we had a GE Side By Side which cost me $3200 Australian dollars, and the brute died after 6 years, 12 months after the warranty expired. Have an LG top freezer for the last 8 years and hasn’t missed a beat. I don’t know why Samsung are no.1 on here, the repairman who tried to fix the GE beast said he loves Samsung as he gets so much repeat business from them. They also were involved in a massive scandal here in Australia, due to numerous washing machines catching fire.
