I feel the Death Note one passed up an opportunity for Light to write "Perfect Cell is killed during his tournament" and walk away, satisfied that he had just saved the Earth and enacted his 'justice'.

i mean yeah... but on the other hand, he wanted to kill criminals and the like... and why kill the perfect opportunity to get rid of ALL of them at the same time?
Death Note is a cheat, I wouldn't praise him for that because he didn't do anything, Ryuk did or part of his power.
As soon as one of his hearts stopped, Cell figured out what happened, took him completely seriously, and annihilated him almost immediately. One of the few fights that Cell had that reaction to.
But how did he stop his heart? His name is "MR Perfect Cell" :P

"King of the Hill" was a popular animated FOX sitcom about the Hill family and their friends and neighbors as they live their lives in the city of Arlen, Texas. The season 6 premiere episode "Bobby Goes Nuts" is about Bobby Hill signing up for a defense class after an encounter with some bullies. While he was initially going to sign up for boxing lessons like his father Hank suggested, Bobby instead takes a women's self-defense course and is taught to attack his aggressors by kicking them in the groin. The line "That's my purse! I don't know you!", like many iconic funny moments of "King of the Hill", became a meme in of itself and is still just as funny when you know the context of which episode it's from.

Fun fact, when the Cell VS Saitama aired, before the DBZA episode of the Cell Games, a lot of people, me included NGL, thought that TFS was serious with the "I'll see you tomorrow" as a hint for the day of premiere, but it happend way after that, they even had to put a comment saying that it wasn't going live the next day lul

I imagine Kenshiro just kept owning Cell for hours before getting bored and leaving, since he couldn't overcome the regeneration. But Mr. Perfect Cell probably had to beg him to leave first.

Gonna drop some Nerd Knowledge on ya:
Deadpool's swords, as stated, are made of "Carbonadium", which is a made-up metal in the Marvel Universe which has the oddly specific property of negating the regenerative abilities of whatever it pierces (pretty much custom made to keep characters like Wolverine and Deadpool in check). Which is why Cell didn't regrow his arm immediately: He COULDN'T! He's powerful enough that he was eventually able to muster it, but that's why he was clenching his fist and getting annoyed, and perhaps just a tiny bit worried. Nice little detail there from TFS!
Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the greatest action Shounens to exist by accident, cause it was originally meant to be more of a mystery based show to begin with. Noted to have one of if not the greatest tournament arcs of all time, Yoshihiro Togashi gifted us with something real special in that show. It's worth a watch of the full series, you should consider it.
And if you do, do so in dub, the dub is fantastic.
Also, Perfect Cell is wrong, pretty sure Yugi was 18 and a high school senior throughout the series.
IIRC, Yugi was around 14-15 when the series begin (Season Zero/Manga) and then ages with each arc with DSOD taking place around their senior graduation.
@@michaelcarlton1484 Apparently they were second year High Schoolers at the start of the series, Season 0 doesn't count, so Yugi was 17 at the start, and is confirmed 18 in DSOD. Most sources I saw didn't say 16, so the series started some part of the way through their school year.
Just make sure it's the uncut dub.
i remember the dark tournament specially the taguro fight. back then i was in grade school, everyone in the school talking about that arc.

Fist of the north star is one of the GREATEST most captivating stories ive ever seen/read/played I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who can get past how old the animation is. Especially if your a fan of the whole Mad Max post apocalyptic Fallout genre.
Fond memories. Fist of the North Star and Bio Booster Armor Guyver were my first exposures to animated ultra-violence and among my earliest exposures to manga. I watched the OVAs and read the monthly comic-book-sized manga releases obsessively in the late ‘90s, until they stopped publishing them in the US.
i wouldnt even count it as an anime at that point. there is so much testosterone injected into it its more of a MANime now. his pressure point techniques even work on tanks

In answer to your question: Fist of the North Star is GREAT. The show itself was originally a homage to Mad Max (hence the post-apocalyptic setting). It's action is so over the top it's hilarious. All you need to know is it features huge muscular men, lots of flashy fighting and moments where Kenshiro literally makes people's brains' explode. 100% you should watch it.
If you're interested there's also the Cell vs Ash Ketchum that they did with 1kids entertainment. They had their own pokemon abridged.
I still use Cell's "okay but why tho" as a forum reaction.

Okay, so you saw one of the Cell vs Ash videos, but there’s actually ANOTHER version where TFS worked with some guys who actually made a Pokémon Abridged series (by a channel called 1Kids).
So it’d be really cool if you watched THAT Cell vs Ash version as well as their Pokémon Abridged series (it’s hilarious).
Honestly that whole series is worth watching. It takes a few episodes to get going, but then what abridged series doesn't?

Lanipator's first abridged series was Yu Yu Hakusho abridged. It's probably still available on youtube, you should give it a watch if you're interested in seeing it, or just seeing his progression
The respect for Kenshiro warms my heart. Years before I knew what anime was my dad randomly picked up the Fist of the North Star Nintendo game and I ran around the house with socks on my hands (closest thing I had to wraps lol) punching things.
The last one is King of the Hill, one of the most accurate shows about rural Texas life there is.
To be honest I enjoyed goku vs cell a lot more than gohan vs cell. I like the more “even” fights that go on for a while and have a bunch of different skills on display. Not just back and forth a**pulls.
goku vs cell is maybe my favorite fight in the series. I'm a huge gohan fan but he doesn't get any good fights. it's always completely one sided... until it's not
Yeah, in general DBZ was so concerned about hyping up its Threats and Powerups and Fighters, there is only a hand full of even fights.
So Goku vs Cell, or Piccolo vs Cell where some of my favorites. Heck even Garlick was quiet nice because of the lower Power Levels.
@@Sunaki1000 Picollo vs 17 is another great example. I loved that fight. It's fights like those that give the fighters a chance to actually use their skills instead of just their overwhelming BDE.

The editing and dialogue exchanges in these are so good. It's hard to pick a favorite one. The Deadpool one is great, but I also like the Pokemon one that's done on 1KidsEntertainment's channel. That one's just nuts. Out of the original edited ones though, gotta be the Yugioh one.

12:10 It's a spectacle, that's for sure. It's Bruce Lee doing kung fu in Mad Max turned up to 15. There's so much blood and exploding heads in just about every episode. Also predates Dragon Ball, so it's technically part of the old-school of shonen mangas - following big muscular men. Then came DB and changed the focus of shonens towards a kid on a journey to become that.

Hope you'll consider watching Devilartemis' Cell vs series next. It's a goldmine of hilarious content based on these videos that sorta became its own thing after a while. He's also quite talented at 3D animation

So about OPM its kinda complicated, so he doesn't have the power to one shot people he's actually just insanely OP for his universe. Basically hes like if you took Goku from the end of DBZ and put him at the beginning of DB. Also Saitamas power level is a bit unknown but the best estimates put him at star level (as of season 2 of the anime) so he honestly wouldn't stand a chance against Cell and thats before calculating in Cells regeneration which saitama has no way to deal with.
I guess you haven't been reading the manga, Saitama has literal infinite strength. His power will continue to endlessly rise until he is stronger than his opponent. At one point he punched time itself and hit someone in the past.

Well we don't know how many hearts the Nemekians or the Freeza race have. So Cell could "Naturally" have multiple like a time lord. OR Dr. Gero implemented the Klingon Contingency and gave Cell SOOOOO MANY redundant organs.

I like that they avoided dealing with Super Sonic, who's a universe buster on a scale beyond merely shaking the universe like in Battle of Gods... or they thought it was funny.

It’s kind of funny that Cell is picking apart Pokémon and comparing it to Yu-Gi-Oh! when both of those franchises debuted in the same year! (Although Pokémon Red and Green were released first)
Also the Mewtwo to Freeza shoutout! Mewtwo is closer to Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings Giygas than Freeza design-wise (that game came out before Freeza’s introduction) but the comparison is still hilariously apt (especially now with Mega Mewtwo X and ability to learn Aura Sphere just adding to the Frieza comparisons)

What I find most amusing is that there is a Pokemon very much like Cell. In Gen VII, Zygarde (Dragon/Ground, introduced in Gen VI) gained three new Formes.
Including its original one, it has Core (AKA 1%), 10% (AKA green dog), 50% (AKA green snake thing), and 100% (AKA Perfect Cell).
Just a heads up, but you missed one. 1kidsentertsinment (The guys who made Pokémon bridged) made an alternate video of Cell vs Ash, titled *"Ash vs Cell."*

To sorta explain why Cell didn't regenerate in the one vs Deadpool, iirc Deadpool's swords actually stifle regenerative abilities and prevent them from working as well. He could actually kill Wolverine if he wanted to.

Honesty the Yu-Gi-Oh! bit was one of my favorites just because of all the build up. Best part is Atem didnt lie at all, he just couldn't do it in the real world anymore.
There is also cell vs. by devilartemis that continues the trend in his own way with Kermit the Frog. I would be selective about it because there are a ton of short videos; but it is a series that has somewhat lore to it.

In case you didn't know, before TFS, Lanipator did Yuyu Hakusho Abridged. He got as far as rescuing Yukina from the Togoro Brothers before ending it. It was pretty good.
Lanipator literally created YYHA to abridge the Dark Tournament, only throw in the towel when he got there.

To say that Cell has no chance against Kenshiro is a big understatement. Best case scenario, Cell blows up the galaxy and gets killed instantly by Kenshiro's self-destruction beams and durability negating atomization; Kenshiro's forced to use his clairvoyance, fate bending, space-time warping, and breathless combat technique to find another habitable planet before his three months of stamina run out and he chokes. Don't get me wrong, he'd get sweeped in the Buu Saga. He's ridiculously fast, but not to that extent.

Plus Goku was tanking bullets and military weapons back when he was a kid in the original Dragon Ball series. All of the Z fighters are hundreds of times stronger than that in DBZ.

Seriously, there is no way Light Yagami would leave it to the default heart attack. He would have been watching all the previous matches and come up with an actual way to kill him or, as someone else said, just write "Perfect Cell Dies in his tournament."
And on top of that, Light wouldn't have shown up in person, he would have done it while watching the tournament on TV the next day. Light doesn't do such things in person.

The Bobby Hill video was made after DBZA had ended. I think it was just one of Kaiser Neko's shitpost that he does on his channel only he decided to put it on the TFS channel. Btw, his short videos involve characters (particularly trunks and Captain Ginyu) engaged in some very NSFW activity.

Okay, I might be the only person who would suggest/request this but. You should TOTALLY react to King of the Hill stuff, if you can. It's an amazing show, and the best way to describe it is a texan comedy slice of life anime.
So, did you have fun? Any particular favorites? Mine was, unsurprisingly, Kenshiro. Especially since I consider these episodes to be TFS-canon-compliant. Which means Cell just got TWO Zettai boosts. At minimum.

Oh right. I just remembered. There's a series called "Cell vs" which is separate from TFS, but it's in the same spirit. It's a really big series of very funny shorts. Kermit the Frog is Cell's best friend, to give you an idea of what insanity it entails. Highly recommend.

@@sintanan469 No its not, the Joke is what Yugi is a bad Player for real World Standards. His Cards arent allowed anymore, he uses hyped up, but totaly bad Cards, and plays whit 4000 Lifepoints instead of 8000. Its just a mix up, the Joke still works.
