My parents were Round Dance instructors back in the 1960s and '70s in New England. My father cued (what the square dance caller is in round dancing) rounds.

My parents were members of a Square Dancing club back in the 70s. I never got into it myself (I was a teen and my musical tastes were far removed from the ’Dosey..Doe’..). Seeing. However, this makes me a bit misty-eyed as it brings up memories of my parents making their way to their weekly competition every Thursday night.
