Love watching Kiki play and grow but not with these baby chicks!! Cats are predators. Chicks are prey. Not a good combination and not relaxing to watch.

Just adorable. She’s so gentle with them yet as a kitten she’s a giant to them. She’s conscious to all that and purposely guards her every move as to not hurt them. What can we learn as humans from this. Nature is still taking us to school
Is it safe to let them interact?? If Kiki accidentally cut one of them with her claws while playing, or bit one as shes clearly trying to do when chasing close behind with her mouth open. Even if shes not intending to hunt them like actual prey, just playing, she could easily accidentally harm or kill the chicks. Arent chicks meant to be kept in a heated and controlled environment when theres no mother hen anyways?
