Hi Anidil, appreciate your effort in creating this video. Your care for the appliances brought all the way from US is evident. I brought my 55" TV purchased 10yrs ago. Many of these TVs are like computers and it can support upto 240V. I called a TV mechanic to verify and he opened the rear panel and verified some Capacitor based filters in the PCB Power board. I was able to plug it in directly to 220V Wall outlet.

I got Samsung 4K qled (q60) 55 inches Tv from USA. It consumes AC 110-120v ~ 50/60 Hz 150W with typical power 65W. I live in apartment and has high power transformer just used for 15 flats. I believe the power generation is more at my place. I believe the voltage converter you suggested would be good enough for the TV I bought. great video but i have few questions that not mentioned in the video.
if lets say my TV is 150W 110v. i am in UK so i use the 240 switch and convert it to 110. the questions are...
1. if i leave it plugged in the wall socket with nothing plugged in to the converter will it consume any electricity?
2. if TV is 150w will this converter consume more than 150W? (as for conversion power loss in the process)
3. if lets say i plug more things to it and the power draw exceeds Rated 500w what happens then?
4. also, if TV flactuates and uses 40w to 150w, does the converter always consumes 500w?

You can use a single converter for all. Use a spike buster to connect multiple devices. US made phones do not need a converter

You need to check your MCB circuit breakers. It will most likely will trip if they are Class B. Class C or D should be fine.

Just buy stepdown convertor for 110 volts .
Buy a stepdown voltage converter 240 to 120 V with 100 watts or above as your tv is 65 watts. And also connect a good quality (example L&T) spike protector before the convertor. Make sure there is reasonably good earth connection to the wall power outlet. Never use electronic converter.use transformer type converter

Thanks for the Voltage & Wattage part, what about the NTSC and PAL issue ? Did you face any issue with that ? Most of the DVD player, Cable operators signal or setTop box are PAL in India, while this TV must be NTSC

What are the voltage and power ratings on the speaker? was it just a spark or a small blast?
@@panidil The power rating on the speaker is 120v 50/60hz 150w. I think it was a very small blast.
The capacitor inside would have damaged when you connected to a 230V power outlet. Ideally you should have connected through a 230 to 110V voltage converter. Check with Bose service.

Not needed. You can use an HDMI cable instead. These days all TVs and set top boxes come with HDMI ports
@@panidil RF TO HDMI (ONLY FOR HDTVs doesn’t accept PAL) and also RF TO AV if AV inputs supports PAL. RF TO HDMI and RF TO AV are mostly sold on Aliexpress. RF TO AV’s Menu and black screen background are only PAL. Can’t use on NTSC TVs.
My understanding is many small electronics is listed 110-230 volts / 50-60 hz. My understanding is that these small appliances can work on both voltages and frequencies.

SONY BLU RAY DOESN’T SUPOORT PAL DVD DISCS AND DIFFERENT BD AND DVD REGIONS. Only played NTSC DVD and Region A Blu Rays.
India uses Region C for BD DISCS. SAME REGION AS MAINLAND CHINA.
Region A BD DISCS are mostly used in Pan American continent, East Asia (except China), Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
