No surprise, I loved watching this process video! I appreciate how you narrate your inner dialogue as you work, so we can see your enthusiasm as well as when you’re pushing past insecurities, disappointments, and even big green oopses. =) I love how you managed to incorporate the green splotch into a bright, beautiful focal point. Looking forward to seeing what you do next!
OMG! That green had to be slayed! Haha! I appreciate that you like my narrative. I talk to myself while I create so I thought why not include it. Thanks for watching! 😍
Really nice results in this piece Trina! I love the green and brown marks, just the right amount, and the dark black rocky hill in the bottom of the composition is very cool. The white resist worked really well. I like the v-shaped composition too with the line work. Another great sky! Perfecto! 😍🤩😍
In the end I liked the green and think it adds something to the piece. The resist is becoming on of my favorite techniques. Thanks so much for watching. 😍
Love the resist in the sky on the left. It looks like rain😊. It's very relaxing to watch and listen to you. I find your narrative and tone soothing. I learn so much from watching. Thanks
Love it! The foreground is again really interesting. I like the original lines you drew. It really set the stage for the rest of the painting. I like the green lines mixed with the brown lines. I would say the amount of lines on this are perfect.
Good morning Trina my friend…this was a great cup of tea 😊! I just love the way you use the resist and it was an interesting effect in the sky…loved it! I was thinking that perhaps using the resist for clouds and the beading helps define the shape…will have to try this. A beautiful landscape (as usual), and the dark in the left hand lower corner came out great with the color shaper…looks like an old, broken down stone wall left behind from ages ago…really neat! Have a wonderful day Trina!
Good afternoon Katerina! I also really liked the resist in the sky. Might try today to be a bit more intentional with it. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful evening! 😍
So intrigued by your use of a colour-shaper (must get one of those - who knew it would make such interesting marks!), using pastels as a resist technique, and also scratching into the paint with the spatula, making wonderful marks. Thanks!
Tried oil pastel resist with watercolor yet? 🎨✨ Let me know how it went below! And don't forget to follow me on Instagram for more creative experiments! 👇 instagram.com/mixedmediatrina/ #InktoberFun
Thats really lovely Trina. If you get a blob on your fresh paper, just carry on 😉 lve recently started using biodegradable baby wipes with no nasties, to clean any unwanted marks on paper. Thank you as always.....Alioban ❤
Ok when I get this dog bathed I’m gonna take a break in my work. Nearly 8pm and I haven’t stopped all day . We got water back on today🎉 Watched! I’ve had an epiphany… I have glazing medium that I’m gonna try to add to watercolor consenting get an Aquapasto effect. Might also try paint retarder…hmmm Maybe by the weekend I’ll be up for painting!
Yay! So happy your water is back on. I need to get some airbrush medium. Our friend Jackie swears by it. Hope you get some time in the studio this weekend. 😍

Thanks so much! It does look like rain. I was a bit more bold with the resist but I love the results. 😍

Thanks so much! I’m a bit of a maximalist so happy to hear you liked all the lines. 😍

You are so welcome! I love the color shaper because it’s so versatile. Pro tip: buy the set in three different sizes. You will use them all. 😍
