@@CarlosMartinez-mr1qb Yes. Really. Supposedly, they are more stolen by thieves and the riks are more stolen too. So, it seems owning one is more risky to an Insurance company that they may be paying some money out. Also, a lot more people mod it than people mod a Camry. Those are some of the factors that make it a little more risky to insure. Hence, they make owners pay a bit more. As it is a popular car on insurance claims.

I currently own a 2014 Accord, today I went for a test drive of the Accord Touring and all I can say is Wow !! Plenty of power and performance, forget the relatively smaller HP numbers, this car was so impressive I bought one today. Do yourself a favor and drive one of these cars with that 2.0Turbo engine !!

Having been a Honda/Acura customer for 35 years, my 2 cents are 1. Would like to see more power seat options on passenger side, 2. Some of the higher trims get 19 inch tires only - on bad roads, that can be jarring - there should have been an 18 inch option, especially for the Hybrid Touring trim, and 3. The Accord is always dumbed down a little so that the Acura TLX is relevant. If Honda can have reclining rear seats and a few more more features for rear seat passengers, they have the world’s best sedan under $75,000, at nearly half the price.

Great Presentation! I test drove a 2020 Camry at 6’1” 200lbs I felt like I was shoe horned in the car. I hated it. I never drove it. I came to the Accord and like you said World of difference.. Throttles Drag Stripped the Accord and the Base Mustang and The Accord (Family Car) Gave the Mustang a good run neck and neck. The Mustang won by a tenth of a second but they couldn’t get over how fast the Accord is. And of course how upscale it is.

My advice to anyone considering a 1.5: don't do it! You have no idea how much the 2.0t is worth it. I went from a 6MT 8th Gen coupe to a 2018 2.0t sport and don't miss the displacement at all. Handling, yes, but a sway bar fixed that easily. The J35 is a near perfect 6 cylinder but the turbo K20 in these is way more fun if you're coming from a V6/I6. The Lemon Factor also did 3 dyno pulls on a stock 2019 touring and it wound up averaging **236/269 at the wheels which translates to 280/310 at the crank which is a far cry from the Honda numbers which are 252/272** It's also not a 'detuned' Type-R engine, it has a completely different turbo.

I mentioned to them how I like the Ridgeline and you should have heard the comments. “ It’s not a real truck” and many more comments. That however doesn’t bother me, I like it and will be the one paying for it. What’s the Pro’s and Con’s to the Ridgeline if any ? If I do go Ridgeline I want the model with the Gold rims.

As a recent (3 mos.) owner of a 2020 Touring, I basically agree. It's a lot of car for the money, and the sport mode with the 10 spd and 2.0 is remarkably good. Between normal, sport, and eco, the car really is a chameleon that does a lot very well. My mild criticisms of the car are; 1) the turning radius must be the largest in the world for a car this size. It really is truck-like. 2) I love the huge trunk, but it needs some tie-downs or other anchors so that you can secure items somehow, since there are no side pockets or anything, 3) the seat ventilation is OK, not remarkable, but then again it's doing what it says it is - circulating cabin air, not specifically cooling.

I absolutely love my '20 Accord Touring 2.0T. Was planning to replace it with the all new '23 Accord Touring 2.0T until discovering that Honda abandoned their performance variant of the Accord making the top engine option for '23, the 204 hp hybrid engine. I'm not "upgrading" to give up 27 lb ft of torque and 48 hp. Very disappointed with Honda. I will likely snag a super low mileage '21 or '22 Accord Touring 2.0T and hold it until I decide what car to buy next. Have owned Hondas and Acuras since 1985 and I will very likely leave them since they forsook any performance version of the Accord. They offer the Civic in Si and Type R variants but turn their backs on the Accord and on customers like me. However, the '18 - '22 2.0T Accords are so good, I will not mind owning one for a few more years.

With long legs. So I will be taking this on a long road trip and we will see how that goes. Adoptive cruise control should help as I can move my feet back and bend my leg over the gear selector area. If you're looking at this car, one thing you should pay attention to are the brakes. I test drove two other Accord models because when I drove the first one I thought there was something wrong with the brakes or they had some defect. I was wrong, there was nothing wrong with the vehicles and that was the intended feel of the braking system. In the Touring 2.0 (and I believe the non-sport models) they have zero communication and are spongy. Your foot and ankle get easily fatigued, as you have to hold your foot in place because there is no resistance to the pedal; that is if your're a *soft and smooth braker:* good at modulating the pedal to reduce negative pitch and "jolting" motions for you and your passengers. I find that difficult because I don't know and* can't feel the bite point, when the brakes engage, precisely how fast the car is decelerating, and when it's crawling *(in every other car I've driven you can feel the motion/movement of rotors through the brakes, but you can't in the accord. That's the most concerning part of this car because you don't realize when the car is slowly creeping forward and can be potentially dangerous. Especially if you're in stop and go traffic, a dense line of cars, or stopped near close objects.) All of this may not be a concern for you, or you may even like the numbness of the brakes, but it's still something to keep in the back of your mind when you're test driving the car.

To those considering LX. Don't. Get the next model up or another car entirely. What you don't feel in the 10-15 minute test drive is the delayed onset of misery from the uncomfortable seats. I've had the car for a week, after so much research and test drives at various dealers.. worst purchase ever. The lumbar "support" presses against your lower back unlike any other car (and I've owned a 2015 LX and 2000 LX, and of course driven other cars without adjustable lumbar), but this is on another level. The seat lacks cushion for your rear, and has minimal thigh support. The result is ridiculous lower back pain, butt pain, tingly sensations in your leg and foot... and you just can't get comfortable. Really great. My girlfriend also can't sit in the passenger's seat for more than 15 minutes without discomfort. Awesome. Just what we wanted for driving anywhere to do anything. Now I have to invest a good chunk of change into seat covers and cushions for a brand new car. unreal. Such disappointment. depressing really. All that money into a new car after all that time and stress debating.. only to have what I thought was a win in how I felt in the seat, turn into disaster. Run away from the LX, or take a test drive for at least 20 minutes. You're welcome.

    1. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
    2. Low-Speed Braking Control
    3. Rear passenger seat-belt reminder

There’s a couple things you missed. The headlights, fog lights and front fascia are redesigned and you get the full LED treatment. Plus I’ve read in many articles that Honda improved the throttle input in all of its trims for 2021 and made braking smoother for the turbo engines. Not sure about the hybrid trim

Warning to those who live in winter climate conditions. I had a 2008 Accord with uncoated factory rear brake calipers that required replacement every 2 years. The salts laid down on the roads rust and seize up the brake calipers. Plus at that point, the rear rotors and pads will also need to be replaced. It's quite an expensive ordeal but not sure if Honda has addressed this issue in its newer models

i hope this 2021 touring is truly as quiet as you say. i drove the 2020 1.5T and was so disappointed i decided to stay away from accords until they fix the tire/wind/road noise. it was uncharacteristically loud. the 1.5T coupled with a CVT is so underwhelming and sluggish.

    @2:57 "...and traction control"
Note that by default, you cannot turn off the traction control.
Turning it "off", does not turn it off. Rather, it reduces its effect.
If you are taking a turn, and floor the gas, the car will not speed up (maybe only slightly). As you come out of the turn (and the wheel is steering almost straight ahead), that is when the engine will roar, even if you supposedly turned off the traction control.
There is a way to truly turn off the traction control, that is an annoying procedure that you must perform before starting the car. It involves several steps, including the brake pedal and the parking brake.
Once the traction control is really turned off, the car will respond better, especially around turns, because it will not hold back (assuming you are in "Sport" mode).
Now, if you floor the gas around a turn, the car will not save you from your bad driving. It will rev, spin the tires, and take off (or slide and possibly crash).
Straight line acceleration will improve, too (assuming you do not spin the wheels, which you will, if you simply floor it with the traction control all of the way off).
Note that if you press the traction control button, again, you cannot turn it completely off, again, unless you turn off the car and repeat the tedious procedure (which I will list, if anyone asks).
You will know when you really have the traction control completely off, because you will see a symbol continuously flashing on the dashboard. It is directly to the right of the standard traction control symbol that you would see if you did the normal pressing of the traction control button. When you start the car, and everything on the dashboard lights up, you will see the two similar symbols, side-by-side. The one to the right is what blinks when you really have turned off the traction control.
For 99.99% of drivers, none of this will matter. But you should know that the traction control button does not turn off the traction control. It simply diminishes how active it is (unless you do the tedious procedure before you start the car).
    Cheers!
