Anything from American idiot, such a great album they created a Broadway musical out of it. Basket case from Dookie is super known ,funny and catchy as hell There's also a great video, it went viral a few years back,of the audience at one of their shows singing Bohemian rhapsody in an incredibly perfect way(they play it before shows, they're huge Queen fans)
Basketcase by Green Day is the first song I ever heard from them. My daughter was 8 months old (1996) and my older brother played the song and my daughter just jammed out. I was hooked on Green Day. ❤❤❤❤
This concept album is fantastic. As a rapper you would LOVE breaking down all of the layered meanings, metaphors, and symbolism. He wrote it like a play and even had acts and chapters. It's about 2 young kids entering adulthood and dealing with our chaotic world, but there's a lot more to it than that. Addiction, mental health, social issues, political issues, etc. They fall in love and this song is kind of the end of the relationship. Highly recommend this album. That quote on the wall is from another song on the album.
DUDE!!! I’m a Chicagoan too ❤! I like this Green Day but my favorites are: Basket Case, Holiday, and American Idiot. Way more upbeat- this one is deep. You’ve probably heard Longview and When I Come Around in passing.
Their new album kills just like their old albums! You must try out 'Look Ma, No Brains'!! It is one of those upcoming iconic Green Day songs. Highly recommend that one!
Plz do reactions for all of LP songs.. u will amazed by how amazing Linkin Park songs are... I grew up listening to LP and Eminem.. n still listen to them regularly.. want to see ur reactions on LP songs too..
Green Day List American Idiot Jesus of Suburbia Holiday/Boulevard of broken dreams Wake me up when September ends Homecoming Bobby sox The American Dream is killing me Basket case When I come around Good Riddance
I'm not sure they'd be your cup of tea, but react to Pierce the Veil sometime. Vic Fuentes is a really good writer, so you may be able to appreciate the lyrics. Songs like Bulls in the Bronx, Caraphernalia, Hell Above, and Dive In would be great.
I would suggest to find your own path with reacting to Green Day, as in find songs from them that you want to react to, as a lot of people are going to suggest the most well known/ popular songs.
As someone who used to live and breathe Green Day music in high school, I support these reactions 100% If you wanna check out more Green Day you should look at Jesus of Suburbia
most agree its anti war and about giving up and accepting defeat so as to not get hurt/killed, modern day 21 gun salutes are used in certain national holidays and to honor president/ex-presidents as well as at their funerals but it started in the navy of england way back when a ship would empty its ammo into the sea to signal defeat/surrender. because most ships had 7 guns it was a 7 gun salute, but since more ammunition could be stored on land the naval forts could fire 3 times for every time the ship fired (7 x 3 = 21) so 21 gun salute (then when ships could store more they also did 21 gun salutes) which signals no hostile intent.
Green Day is one of those bands you discover when you're a teen and then you keep following them for life

The song was in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, so if you've seen that maybe it's where you've heard it.
Or basically anywhere in late 2000s or early 2010s this some was pretty big back when it came out
Finally a music reviewer does Green Day. Do Jesus of suburbia
The after you've listened to this, go watch the drum cover from elestepariosiberiano. This guy is one of the greatest drummers I have ever heard

21 guns is what you get when you pass away in the military.
It's called a 21 gun salute. Most of the time it is performed by 7 rifleman firing three times.
It's also used by law enforcement.
21 gun salute

Concept of the newer persuasion... . previous album hit Broadway .
A demon from hell is sent yelling Donnie you're out of your element.

YOOOO. RECOMMEND GREEN DAY - JESUS OF SUBURBIA. LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE OF A SONG BROTHERRRRRR PLEASEEEE
Greenday... making toxic relationships great again. If someone shoots at you, leave, don't make out.
As someone who used to live and breathe Green Day music in high school, I support these reactions 100% If you wanna check out more Green Day you should look at Jesus of Suburbia
Or any song from American Idiot; or even the whole album for that matter. 😄💯
@@jmburbach for real. It's such a ride of an album
It's hard to understand whats happening with some songs on this album, it's a concept album with a not so straightforward story.
Probably heard it from transformers movie
When first reacting to Green Day, you start with Basket Case (th-cam.com/video/NUTGr5t3MoY/w-d-xo.html) You just do.
I can still smell the black hair dye and teen angst
I have no idea what this song was about?

I used to be a huge Greenway fan but they are so anti American now that I no longer listen to them
