Hmong people who get rich start getting big headed too. They forgot to be humble… I seen in with my own eyes
You won’t know who your true friends are until you desperately need them. Don’t belittle your old friends like that. You may need them one day. Help comes in more ways than money.
Owning a restaurant will just make you have money but not rich. Small business owners pay the most taxes. Rich people don't work for money, don't pay taxes, and don't climb the corporate ladder. They acquire assets that produce income. They don't spend $1000 for a meal. Even Warren Buffett's wife still complained about the $4 cup of coffee. The first step to become a wealthy person is not about choosing friends. It's about mindset, discipline, struggles, hard work, and education.
I agree! Owning a restaurant does not make you rich in that case my family we will be rich by now from our family restaurant.
Being rich is how your mindset works and discipline will.
@@maileelor3207 He's probably rich because he did some illegal stuff such as under-reporting income (pay in cash so don't report). Just the federal tax alone takes more than 1/3 out of many people's income. If you combine all the taxes, including taxes from purchases, utilities, etc, just taxes can be as much as 1/2 of your salary. This is why the US government has so much money... but spend most of it on wars. This is why the middle class, even those making $100k - $200k a year are struggling. Even the lady selling vegetables at the farmer's market can make more than an office job paying $30/hr. Why? Because it's all in cash so she can under-report or not even report it to the IRS at all... reason why illegal marijuana growers are thriving and on the rise while legal marijuana growers are struggling... all because of taxes. Lots of Hmong illegal marijuana growers have trash bags full of cash but is collecting welfare and living in public housing because they do business in cash only and no real job so can't get loan for a house. They can pay cash for the house but that would raise suspicion and get them in trouble with the law. So some have their working adult children buy cars and houses for them and pay their children in cash. That's one way Hmong people do to cheat the system.

I understand exactly what you're saying. However please learn how to give a helping hand to your family and friends. Knowledge is free. So it doesn't matter how rich one person is, we are all going to same place at the end, 6ft underground. It's about love no matter who is poor or rich. It's should be who is willing to learn. That's what counts..

Business will make money more than a 9-5 job. But some people who do have 9-5 job makes a lot of money too. Some people I know makes 250-400k year! More than most small mom & pop business. Restaurant especially a small restaurant is hard working, just paying the bills.
I do agree that who you hang with does influence your choices a lot.
I'm very poor so this story gives me hope. When I grow up, I want to be like you.

I think that the more appropriate title is "Nrog Cov Muaj Hom Phiaj Yus Thiaj Muaj." All the people he surrounded himself with that made him rich were goal-oriented people...that's what made them rich. To belittle the poor and look up to the rich is an unethical reasoning. He didn't just became rich by hanging around with the rich people, he had a new mindset and relied on his friends for support. Whose to say the poor doesn't have the same goals? They probably just didn't have anyone to support them like he did. Please be thoughtful before judging.

Bro you are wrong to say rich people are not snobs and cocky. Because most are especially in the Hmong communuity. However, what you should say is when you live comfortably like you not so rich or poor you become humble and expand your perspective on what money can do and provide. Money doesn't solve all problems money make some lives a little easier and materials and food more accessible however remember to also leave room for enjoyment like your friends and in your life. Please don't blame your success on the friends you hang with it was your risk and motivation to better yourself. By saying you don't hang with your old friends literally says money change people and you're a living example of that. Your too good now at a higher level. But didn't you say at one point in your story rich friends won't tell you how to be rich you had to listen carefully it wasn't until you had money that they started liking you. Bottom line money changed you and that was all I learned from your story you are at a level to good from where you came from. At the end of the day be wise because those rich friends and money can backstab you too. Be humble and please don't ever blame on friends blame it on your stupidity.

Your soul is still young that's why you are still craving for human necessities. When you are advanced, you will seek only happiness. When you die, you can't even bring those money with you but you can bring those memories that you caused the ripple effects with you.
Looks like your head got big now that u have money. U talked smack about poor people and hanging around them, yet u forgot that's where u came from. You should be more humble. U never know how life is gonna turn and u could easily be "poor" again tomorrow.

Sure, whatever floats your boat. Owning a business I’m sure you work more than 8 hours and then you have to buy your own health insurance and don’t forget to save for yourself. Lots of people out there that makes good money from an 8 hour job. Not everyone is a business person.

It’s not that you hung out with poor people that’s why you’re poor or if you hung out with rich people you’ll be rich. It’s about having goals and bettering yourself in life.
If you hang out with druggies you become a druggie, hang out with cheaters you become a cheater, hang out with gamblers you become a gambler and nothing to do with being rich or poor.
Judy, I totally agree with you. I don’t have friends, but I can’t hang out with both if I have to. The most important thing is to have dreams and goals and focus on how you get there. Learn from others, and don’t compare yourself to anyone.
