FWP Edwards Gardens is a favourite as is Herbin Emeraude de Chivor. I'm more into emerald, teal and turquoise than subdued, duller grey greens but I'm getting more into greys and browns so who knows. I'm learning. 😇💙🙏🙌
On the De Atramentis site Charles Dickens is called "Cement Grey" while Apple is called "Apple Green". Apple looks much lighter on their website so maybe it's mislabelled? I added a link to the Charles Dickens ink but the post was removed.
@@sushanart aaaah!!! Emerald de Chivor!!!!!!! I’ve been wanting that ink for a couple of years! I totally forgot about it and it’s almost always sold out most places! I haven’t seen FWP Edwards Gardens. I’m all in with sepia and browns! They lend themselves well to antique looking writing and giving me that throwback feeling of being like Jane Austen when I write with a dip pen. It’s just beautiful! So… which one would you choose?
Edwards Gardens is more blue leaning and Emeraude de Chivor more green, if I remember correctly this late at night. I'm a little more partial to Edwards Gardens, but not much. ☺️
I enjoy green inks especially a darker green. However, MB Irish Green is one of my favorite green inks! Great variety here and thank you for taking the time to show all of these shades of green.
I’ve always loved the color green, in general. And I particularly like green in both fountain pens and inks. I’ve markedly downsized both my pen and bottled ink collection (never once bought sample vials). I used to own very many different green inks of choice. Today, without checking to see, I reckon the green inks I have are the following: Montblanc Irish Green J. Herbin Lierre Sauvage Aurora Green Sailor Ink Studio 967 Sailor Shikiori Tokiwa Matsu Platinum Forest Black Yours here is a pretty large array of green inks. I don’t like PR and FWP inks, in general. But DeAtramentis is a brand I’d like to try. The green I see here would be a good place to start. I really like the BPC green here. I’ve found that I actually like best dark, murky, mossy type of greens - even green-blacks. Thanks for showcasing the ones you did.,
@@sajjadhusain4146 The Sailor inks sound divine! My samples are all from Pen Club- such a great place to try out new inks! We try to wear dark colored clothing because inks are flying around the room! 😂 I mentioned the Monteverde Olivine- forgot to sample it! I also found my J Herbin Vert Empire! Olivine is lovely- some nib creep due to saturation. J Herbin is lovely- dry in some pens. My husband swears by MB Irish Green and Diamine Dark Forest, which I love. I didn’t sample the Dark Forest because it goes towards black more than green. Inks are a hobby unto themselves!
@@KitchenCounterCrafts The Pen Club sounds very cool. Is it an all-ladies-only place? Do you show and talk about pens, too? I’m not alone in having complaints about the Monteverde Olivine ink. The color is very nice. But the ink has shown a tendency to form crusts in the mouth, around the top rim of the bottle. And even on the nib. Dries out causing hard starts within or less than a day of not using the pen. I emptied my bottle down the sink, sadly. I forgot about Diamine Dark Forest. I finished two of those wedge shaped anniversary bottles. I really like it. Looks a dark-green blue (teal-y) color in swabs, but looks a very dark seaweed green out of a nib and on the page, to my eyes anyway. The other color groups I like beside green are browns, burgundy and blue blacks. I’ve become extremely selective about my ink purchases now. Bottled ink inventory can just as easily get out of control and overwhelming as the pen collection often does - for a lot of us. I did order for a new Delta pen, though. the Delta Montepreta. It should arrive by the time I return home from China the coming weekend.
Aww I’m so glad the Cadillac green inspired you!! We can get you some more greens too- RO Hemp and Diamine Sherwood Green 🤭 I agree with you on FWP, was super disappointed in how it worked in my pens too!
@@LadyMadamHarp I loved it! So very pretty and the sheen is a surprise! I got a sample of the RO Hemp and it was pretty but on the lighter side of an olive green. Have you tried Monteverde olive green? So beautiful!
@@tbayless8324 I first was into shimmer and sheen but now I'm also getting more and more interested in shading inks. There's so much fun inks out there. 😊

I also wonder about the difference between Private Reserve "Cadillac Green" and "Blue Suede". Maybe one is leaning more blue?
