FWIW, I received my Gen 4 size 12 silver 10 days ago. I've worn it 24/7 on my non-dominant index finger except when washing dishes, showering and recharging. It's been working perfectly as far as I can tell and syncs quickly with my iPhone. No issues with quality so far. It was made in Mexico.
Got my fingers crossed the o-ring issue is not widespread and my yet-to-be-delivered silver size 12 doesn't have that problem. Thanks very much for keeping us posted -- very helpful!!
Received my gen 4 silver 3 weeks ago. It was manufactured in Mexico. Have worn it on my non-dominant index finger 24 X 7 since receiving it (except for dishwashing, showering and charging every 4-5 days). Has worked perfectly and has no sign of any gasket issue.
Yeah. Not sure how much more resilient, for instance, brushed stainless is than the gold varieties, considering the finish is now the same I believe. It may simply be that brushed stainless tends to hide the micro scratches a little bit better than the uniformity of the gold or black finishes.
Thanks for this helpful update. I think I will wait for a few more days/weeks before I’ll order, to see if others have issues and in the meantime Oura hope it will also improve their algorithm more because I’ve seen on Reddit some ppl complained in this regard. Cheers.
Thank you. New to Oura Ring. Is the battery safe ( not overheat/explode)? Thinking about taking advantage of the Oura Ring 3 sale even though the technology is older and may not be as comfortable.
Very helpful, thank you! Just ordered mine, and will be curious to see where it was assembled and if I have issues with the gasket. Also, do you have a sense (or have you seen) whether the Oura Ring 4 Stealth still scratches things?
I have no reason to believe it would be any different, as, according to the official specs, the finish has not changed since the Oura Ring 3 Stealth. Thanks for watching by the way - appreciate you!
Thank you for your work. What was your reason to switch from Gen 3 to 4? I mean let‘s be real: with all we know now the 4 is just not the upgrade we were hoping for. I do believe there are features in there we don‘t know about yet - but right now it‘s just not worth it.
That's a great question. Partially it was the desire for a change in finish since the stealth finish was, as I mentioned, literally scratching everything I owned. But also, it had been two years since my previous upgrade, and I think my battery had started to suffer notably in recent months. I probably was closer to 4 days per charge near the end of the Oura 3 ownership curve, which is still pretty good, and I think I probably could squeeze five out of it easily enough with blood ox off, but it just seemed like it was time to try and upgrade. Time will tell whether it was a good decision, but apart from the issues with the washer, the surprises I had about weight, and the disappointment of the battery life, it is a very nice product. I think it looks great, it seems durable if the washer will remain in place, and it certainly does seem a little bit more comfortable than the three, probably because of the flat interior design.
My replacement 4 is actually working really well. Also, after disabling blood oxygen measurements and wearing it for a couple of weeks, the battery life is definitely a little bit better. I'd say maybe 15%. I believe I charge it about every 6 days

Thank you so much for the update! Fingers crossed the ring is gonna be fine now 🙌

Had my gen 4 since release. It’s been great no problems so far. Nice upgrade from my gen 3.
I have the rose gold finish. It’s scratching pretty easily.

You have the Oura 4?
@ Yes, I have the Oura gen 4.

I certainly hope so as I've been wearing one for 3+ years now! ;-D
i m with ring 3 , size 9, should stick with size 9 for ring 4 ? coz ring 4 dont have " bulb" inside ...
Probably, based on my experience, yes. But of course, the only way to know for certain is to order the sizing kit and double-check your size

Hi there, thanks for the info. I've also had the same problem but I'm just wondering how you got it back together?
I just carefully pressed the gasket back into the groove. But then I had the ring swapped by Oura! The new one has had no such issues.
How widely spread is this gasket issue now?
It's hard to say, but there have been many reports of the problem. I'm happy to report that my replacement ring hasn't had any issues so far though.
@ thx. Im curious. Ordered the sizing kit today. Let’s see how long the whole process takes
The bigger the ring, the bigger the battery
Thank you for your work.

I tried the BKWAT ring and it helped me improve my sleep and exercise habits. The test data is very accurate and the battery lasts long!
😍My friend recently gave me a BKWAT smart ring, which surprised me greatly. It is very good in appearance, material and measurement accuracy.
This made me cancel my order going with the 3
