The line gets pretty bad after a While because the planes are way to squishy, 1 flak from cruiser and half of your squadron's hp Will be gone

Is it some insane luck or replay bug that the torps always go perfectly forward, even without waiting for the reticle forming up?

It’s not a bug; it’s the gimmick of IJN torpedoes. The closing of the reticle affects the spread of the torpedoes less but rather the distance between the 2 torpedoes. If you wait for it to fully shrink, the 2 torpedoes will have a 1/4 ship distance between them, hitting 2 parts of a ship nicely or increasing the chance of hitting actively maneuvering targets. If you wait for it to shrink only close to completely, the 2 torpedoes will be more likely to stuck together into almost of a line.

WG need to switch the ap bombs to the US line and HE to the IJN. US carrier doctrine used torps to weaken a target then dive bombers to deliver a killing blow. IJN carrier flights did the inverse. Dive bombs to cripple then torps to finish.

Guys, what cv is better - Saipan, Kaga or GZ? i find it difficult to choose. Could you help me make a choice?

Answer is not that simple, because for ME personally I have the best results on SAIPAN! if you might remember TT said that US CV is the hardest one to play. I do agree with that statement. I would also add that Kaga is in my opinion easiest carrier at tier VIII. But it all depends on your playstyle I do not know how you are playing so it would be hard to me to give you any advice at this point. for ME Saipan nr1 / Kaga nr2 / GZ nr3 🚢🛩

I made a choice in favor of Kaga and I am satisfied. Kaga provides a great opportunity to chase DD's with tactical bombers as it is the best way to achieve victory in my opinion. Kaga's aircrafts are quite fragile, so success depends on the level of the commander (and the right skills). And then Kaga is simply magnificent and is able to influence the outcome of the battle as much as possible.
But Saipan and GZ still attractive.

its planes actually can die if enemy have good aa, where as midway your plane are pretty impossible to kill baring a very few select aa ships.

She is she is my only tier 10 cv she has low health pool planes if ships are sticking together with strong aa its hard to do any damage with your squad and they get shot down very fast it's sort of a shame that Japanese tech line ships get no love as of lately

@@panzermike8290 so true, still gotta love the Japan CVs for the history. I just got the shokaku and been upgrading it, I think I won't go any higher. Shokaku does the job nicely
