For me getting into t4 asap is way more important than advance honing t3. Ur not only losing out on shards and mats for t4 but gold you could sell unbound stuff and probably most important combat xp from t4 chaos dungeon is double t3 and other horizontal content for potions and what not
yeah I think most of the allure of swapping to t4 asap is valid. Most people will see significantly more value in going right away. Matts alone can be sold for lots of profit if you didn't want to hold even. 20 more ilevels is nice for getting into raids, t skill and hyper awakening making the class feel more complete. There's just a small few that I think could do the staggered advanced hone method (lots of banked matts and gold already) or just a super new player who may want to take it slow. As someone who returned to the game pretty recently (breaker pass) I have 3 chars in tier 4 without any advanced honing. Had to use most of the event materials to even get to 1620. I think just going to T4 and start gathering them materials seem like the better option. Aswell as the gatekeep there is on lower ilvl chars and the learning the raid factor. Not sure tho. Love the content you are putting out!
That is a huge, very valid factor. The damage increase you get from the levels, the ability to convert gems if they aren't bound and t skill/ hyper awakening will make raiding/progging as a newer/ returning player much easier. I would just say it may not hurt to temper the items in t3 as a baseline as it will use t3 matts. You did mention you burned most of yours already to get 1620 so I don't know how much you would still be sitting on but if for some reason you got alot of t3 shards to burn I would temper at the minimum, even if its just one piece (the weapon always scares me)
I think if you have enough T3 mats saved up in the destination server, advance honing is the way to go. Will set you back in the beginning but compensate later on. For players who are doing roster transfers or didnt have anything saved, I think the time needed to get everything to advance hone to 10 won't really be worth it. You're better off hitting T4 and going from there.
i wanted to advance hone before switchjng to t4 but you have to do echidna first and i was a bit too impatient. Its quite easy to be accepted with mokoko leaf
My current blockade is t3 fusions for the route I’m pushing. It’s very hard for me to not just equip that kenuart gear aha. Green leaf seems like the greatest line skip in the game, enjoy it!
Sorry my brain cant comprehend lol. So I literally have 3 characters that are like Valtan item level (returning player). And my ignite 1620 character is definitely the highest item level and is more ahead due to the given Deep Dive sets and stuff. For me should I go straight in T4? I don't think I have a lot of advanced honing mats or T3 pouches/mats saved.
lol it’s ok, I would 100% temper two pieces or just your weapon at the bare minimum. If you had a friend group who wanted to take it slow it would hold some value but if your a newer/returning and not in a huge group just tempering and swapping over is the best of both worlds Reminder solo vendor has shards that you can use for the temper!

I agree. Looking at raw numbers, people who haven't done advanced honing are probably the lucky ones, being able to save that system to around 1680

It’s honing but less painful in most ways, gets you 10-20 ilevel per piece. Third tab in honing vendor
