@@lulusoffroadI just finished this video was incredible. Would you have a video on a drive shaft lol. I think that may be the problem now. Never ending. My main bearing on the pinion was toast I thought that was it for sure. I just took it for drive making same sound. It sounds like I have cans dragging from the front of my rzr at around 20 in 2 wheel when I put in 4 wheel. The noise is gone.
What is the the little harness that the front diff wire plugs into, mine got pulled off and chewed up and I can’t seem to find that little harness anywhere, again it’s the harness that the front diff plugs into, thanks
after Rebuild on the diff went fine, but after reinstalling the steering rack, when turning left, it's got a hard spot. It fine once it broke over until it's turned back right to that spot. Any ideal
Not immediately no. But, I would double check through the install once more. Make sure everything is tight and nothing is hitting anywhere. Should be smooth throughout. Make sure steering shaft is in same spline location it came out of. Steering wheel should have exact amount of rotation each direction. Also, your steering input might need recalibrated in the computer. System needs to relearn the center point. We hit on that a little bit in the video where we bought the ProXP 4 seater. Bob's Cycle hooked it up and re-trained the cpu and its been perfect since then. Could be your issue. Let us know if you figure it out. Good luck!
So that bearing to the drive line is pressed in? How'd you get it out? Really wish your camera didn't die. That's the part I wanted to see. And how much was this kit? You got a part number from sandcraft?
I took my diff to a buddy that owns a deisel shop to get the pinion gear out. He has a much bigger press and made it super easy to swap out. I purchased the Gen 2 - Bulletproof front differential DIY kit from Sandcraft ft. Sku: # C18190120
Thanks Tim. Ole Gunner is gonna be ready to put in work this year. Few more things to come. Can't wait for the next few videos to drop. Stay tuned and thanks for watching man.
She went down on me when we were out in Glamis last year and Polaris swapped it out during Camp Rzr for free, and I have not opened up the old one to find out what failed. Only thing I know is that when I spin the pinion gear, it still feels smooth as butter, so who knows. Wish I had more to tell ya.
I did get some error codes. Check out this video. Start it at 12:53. Not sure if it's the same issue your having but, hopefully it will help. th-cam.com/video/Mr-tL7mws6A/w-d-xo.html
Thanks. I've watched the whole thing a few times and don't see where you addressed any codes. I'm getting one that says my steering angle sensor lost connection and another that says steering angle and steering velocity.
@@timfranzen1972 I had the steering angle sensor code come up. It has to be recalibrated to correct it. It took him maybe 30-40 minutes and it was golden. Never had another issue since. They had to train the cpu where center was again. Had to turn it full turn driver, full turn passenger, Yada Yada yada, but it worked perfectly. Try and get them to go that route first, especially if you never had issues with it before removing and replacing.
Gen 2 - BulletProof Front Differential DIY Kit. The Sku # is C18190120. Looks like they are selling the kit for $710 now. I've had no problems with my diff since using their parts. Good luck! Thanks for watching the video.
@@lulusoffroad ordered mine last week and was about $760 total. Hopefully it has everything I need without buying anything else. So that funky circular thing with the teeth behind the seal on the drive line that you put a screw in was included in the kit? I've had my sxs for over a year and had no problems so I'm green on the Polaris parts names completely
@@lulusoffroad the part in-between the seal and the bearing. The part in your video where you said be careful not to damage this after you took out the seal with the screw in it. It's at 14:38 in your video. Do you have to reuse that and what is it called?
Thanks for the video. Doing mine right now on the steering column now
No problem...Glad we could help out. Let us know how it goes.

Good info bud. Never tackled one of these......YET!
Thanks, guys, for the video
How did you remove the steering rack? The steering spline won't release all the way. How did you do take that out?
I don't remember there being any trick to it at all. As long as there was enough clearance it just slid down and out.

Whats up man. Just seeing your post. Did you ever find the harness for your front diff plug?

Great video. The guy on Adrenaline Junkies channel just kinda jerks the pinion bearing out by hand. I did it that way as well.
Great job 👍🏻

I used a rubber band to hold those rollers in place. I upgraded my sprague from a 6 to 12 tooth. Same kit you used awesome so far.

@@lulusoffroad thank you for sharing. I know my time is coming on my turbo S and debating purchasing a rebuilt diff vs doing all the sand craft stuff.
@@lulusoffroaddoes camp rzr swap parts like this for free?
Yes, all parts are free.
What was the extra bearing in the bag for?
That would be the pinion bearing.

I appreciate your help! The dealer wants to replace the power steering module and I just don't think it needs it.

Thought I went more in detail about it in the video. My bad, but that's why they hooked it up to the computer. Steering input angle was off.
What all parts did you buy? And what is the part name of the part behind the seal you took out with a screw?

I believe you are referring to the pinion gear. You are only going to replace the bearing on the pinion gear and not the pinion gear itself.

Yes, you need to re-use that. It separates the balls in your bearing. It's called a bearing cage or ball seperator.
