Kai is all over that thing! He carves up those waves like it was 2nd nature to him - knows Jaws like the back of his hand. A pure delight to watch him out there - and that ocean color is heavenly. The camera angles and work is just amazing, too. It gives some genuine perspective .. STELLAR surfing and footage!!

Kai works hard to be this good, don't mistake just being born with talent. He has worked at this every day of his life. Also, progression of the sport and the equipment is also a huge part in why this can happen, along with all of the guys before Kai who got that stuff to where it is through a lot of struggle, injury, death, you name it. out of all the different aspects to your surfing that one move carving off the lip is insane and taking it where it needs to go keeping you out in a place of control so you can pick your line. As a spectator I can say from what I see you are ushering a new level of surfers who see what you do for what it is. I am too old to surf now but I see very clearly

The lengths that some people go to to get a pair of Cariuma skate shoes🙂 Well I'd say Kai Lenny has more than earned a pair. Consolation for the rest of us mere mortals; if you can't walk in the footsteps of those with super human skills at least you can still walk in their shoes. I'll second the thanks to Cariuma for letting me witness this ultimate big wave surfing display. Absolutely incredible to do 360s in those waves. Thanks Kai.

How could you drop in on somone on a wave that big. Amazing surfing but if I got pounded on a wave that size and someone dropped in on me I might be going to jail.
The other guy towed when there was a pack of surfers paddling. In Hawaii the paddler always has priority. The tow guy did the right thing and straightened out.
