I hope this helps you guys with your drafts in MLB the Show 23 Franchise! What are some other techniques and strategies you guys have for drafting in Franchise Mode?
I did two drafts before I watched your video and completely bombed both of them with one player being over an 85 potential and then I watched your video and just did a drafted and had 4 players with 90+ potential.. sick stuff.. good job brother!
A problem in previous versions of the game was pitcher stamina never increased. It only remained the same or decreased. Have you simmed into the future to see if this is still a problem?
Are the signing bonuses doing anything to curtail trade cheese? It has always been stupid easy to snag draft picks in trades the following offseason, so it would be nice if that came at some kind of significant cost now. Also, is the signing bonus money pool tied to the overall budget, or is it this completely separate pool of money? Does anything determine how much signing bonus money that you have?
I think the signing bonuses are just to make things more realistic to simulate how the real MLB Draft goes. I’d assume this money is tied into your team budget but I’m not 100% sure
I think it’s still easy lol, when I first got the game I did a Red Sox franchise and the pirates drafted an 81 ovr 99 potential CF and I got him for some low ovr decent potential prospects and verdugo lol
Yeah it’s still super easy to trade for the prospects you missed. I personally made a rule not to do it though because it feels unrealistic plus giving myself that limitation makes the draft super fun. If I hit I hit if I miss I just leave the player on the team that won and got them. I’ll trade for them 3 or 4 seasons down the line once they are better if I really like them that way it feels more realistic and not like I’m cheating.
@@OctogonalGaming appreciate this video by the way! They also have this same scouting system in March to October as well, and I couldn't figure out what I was looking at for the life of me, even if I did appreciate having the draft feel a little more like the actual draft.
this feature sounded cool but I dont understand why i found 3 NR / NR studs and come draft time they are not draftees or invisible or even available to me? i dont get it
I kinda figured it out since I don't think he understands what we're asking. The only way to view your prospect board is when you're setting assignments. If you've set all scouts to scout positions already the only way to get to the prospect list is to cancel an assignment and reassign to "scout prospect" That is the only way to my knowledge you can view a prospect board and imo a design flaw from the devs

My hot take is that the Cubs and Twins get it in. I really like the Cubs this year but am fully expecting Minnesota to find a way to mess it up like they always do
I have the twins winning the AL central I don’t think they can make a run because there isn’t an ace and the bullpen outside of Jorge Lopez and Durren has some questions

As I said at the end of the latest knicks episode, MLB will be the main focus with the game just coming out and the knicks series will be uploaded back to normal pretty soon

I drafted a generational 3B in my first rebuild with the tigers. 82 overall, 99 potential

I like how they add a lot of generational prospects because most of them will be very good major leaguers and some will become hall of famers

As I said in the video, simulate to the first Sunday of the season and you’ll be able to access it then

I set one scout to discovery. He discovered 4 players. How do I see the players he discovered? This new scouting system is a mess.
It tells you at the bottom after that week you scouted to check recently scouted and you'll see the players that where discovered
