- Have you ever been playing The Sims 4 and thought “wait a minute, this doesn’t make any sense!” well if so then you might be able to relate to a few things I mention in this video.
Today we’re going through various odd features in the sims 4 that literally make no sense. To name a few things: Sims moving around just to perform interactions, sims inability to actually multitask, Mansion Baron’s getting a discount and loads more!

My god the amount of homework books I've had to buy because they just put them down in random places

I wanted my sim to earn money by performing in public, but she kept losing her instruments. I spent more money buying her the umpteenth violin than I got from tips lol.
I also had my sim-toddler become best friends with another toddler, and one time I was doing something at the friend's household and noticed that kid had MY nightlight. It mysteriously went missing after my sim's birthday party, turns out a toddler stole it lol

The kid sims in my game that have bikes, yeah, custom content fills in what EA forgot, but the kids with bikes were always leaving their bikes somewhere, luckily they would be autoreturned to their inventory, but I don't think other things are, I always have to make sure they don't leave a toy somewhere, seems like their should be a response to the parenting question where they say they can't find their toy like "Well maybe you left it behind somewhere."
Right? Very first time playing sims 4 the teenager was hiding every high school homework from me every time I clicked the homework interaction he would stop, put it down and walk away. I was thinking the save was glitched but started a new save and quickly learned it’s just how they are 😂
what about when they have low energy, so you send them to bed just before they pass out... and then they get out of bed to go pass out on the floor. why?! if my sim was already in bed, why doesn't the game recognize that?

i hate when that happens and recently my sims have started getting up off the toilet to have a bladder failure
Or when you already see the sim walk somewhere, but somehow the game couldn't keep up with itself, so the sims suddenly teleports back to where they started (probably the same underlying problem there)...
The worst thing for this is when you click on the energy bar for auto-complete, your sim will either:
a) Get coffee
b) Go to the hot tub to nap
c) Put their toddler to bed

The bladder one is annoying. Like my sim is already on the toilets why do they get off the toilet to pee on themselves.
It annoys me how much we need to focus on needs in the sims 4. I don’t remember sims 1-3 requiring this much focus on needs. I needed to install UI cheats to actually enjoy going to other lots. The amount of times they almost pee themselves is super unrealistic in my opinion.

I loathe having to create a household when starting a new game, like why can't I just jump into a world and play a prepare household?
There is s workaround by creating a sim moving them into an empty lot then switch to the townies you want to play and either ignoring the new sim or deleting them via manage worlds but it is dumb that its not a simple checkbox to decide if you want to create a new sim or play as an existing sim. The Sims team put a bunch of time and effort into creating these townies with back story and houses etc. then designed game mechanics that discourage playing as pre-made sims.

@@hennakola2922 they wrote a story for each of the townies and put them into the household description. They didn't follow through with relationships but they did write stories for them. And most have the implication that you will play that household because they ask a question e.g. will the pancakes marriage get better or fall apart?
I actually have a base safe file that fixes that. I began a new safe file, left with the randomized sim I got, clicked the X instead of moving them into a lot, then hit save. Now I can open up that save file, pick a household, then click “save as” so I keep that base file.
Also talking about dine out why does it take my sim an hour to order food and an hour to get the food in a small restaurant that has 3 waiters and 2 cooks?
Uh yes. And that the guests are endlessly standing up, sitting down, which makes it impossible to take care of them as the restaurants manager!
Why does my restaurant have great success, but when I play another household, the restaurant completely fails and loses a lot of money. Why?!
Oh it takes one hrs each? For me it takes even longer (Cough..sim.. simulation lag)
also why is the staff so horrible and why can't my sim do it themselves? The staffing genuinely sucks, they're never doing what they need to be doing and it take 3 sim hours for them to even get to their stations. Your sim should be able to work as the cook/host/waiter, just make it so they have to be on the lot to open.
Don't even get me started with how they removed home businesses and made the business lot types so vague it's boring to play.
The musical chairs at dinner drives me cazy, that and the seeming facination with stair cases. The sims will think of something to do on the third floor, by the time the get there they have forgotten what it was, go back to the first floor and then think of something else and back to the third floor.
WE NEED to be able to assign dining tables/dining chairs. It would be nice and you could toggle it on and off. Even better if there was a kids' table option. I don't understand why they haven't done that as they did bed assignments. I just want my sims to be able to eat in their nice dining room and not standing around the fridge
@@sporkboy7380 parenthood has a “set table” action that makes that table the default for the house
I totally agree with you. Like the whims…why does my Sim that lives in an apartment without a balcony want to buy a swing set or build a swimming pool? And don’t get me started on the things called babies. No thought was ever put in their creation!

Just like in real life, then...
100 percent agree on everything. Try the whims overhaul mod, it really does seem to help your Sims have different kinds of whims and whims that make more sense depending on the traits that Sim has. And the simulation lag fix mods seem to help with all the standing around they seem to do even though you've already given them a task. I know we shouldn't have to use mods to fix the game, but as it currently is at least they help.
I’ll try the whims overhaul mod. And the heigt slider too. But the rest of the problems, the Sims team need to step up!

@@liascroll It took me a minute, I think the creator is called sims4me and the mod is called whimoverhaul. The site is in another language so I have to translate it to English and that makes it easier to find because there's a bunch of mods on there. I think it's the 26th picture down.

That computer thing drives me absolutely insane. There's no point in having any other items, because the sims will just use the computer
Seems accurate to modern adults for the most part 😂😂😂😂 Computer or phone.
But at a gathering it makes no sense I shouldn't have to delete things out and put them back or put things in my inventory just so guest don't go for them and might make another choice.
Yup experienced most of them. A sim has a sink in the kitchen but yet they will wash all the dishes in the bathroom sink. Also place garbage in the outside garbage can but they have one in the house or a sim will just stand in the middle of a room and pee themselves and then be embarrassed 😳 😔. Makes no sense at all.
I read recently that they will do dishes in the *most expensive* sink on the lot, so the key to making them not use the bathroom sink for dishes is to have a more expensive kitchen sink. Haven't tried it yet.
My favorite thing to do is throw dinner parties almost every day and serve tons of drinks. I have an outdoor party area. It's so frustrating though when my guests raid my fridge for leftovers when I have steak, Asado, and tons of level 10 drinks laid out in the party area. And yes, the 5-8 guests I invite change seats every 14 seconds. Ugh.
I had a wedding in The Sims recently with 14 guests. Getting them to sit down near the wedding arch for the ceremony is next to impossible. (It's a big lot, they were all over the place. Some arrived late dressed for the pool.) I put out a buffet with 8 things on it to eat and set up outdoor tables with umbrellas, and they *all* ignored it. Some of them did get drinks at the bar, but they did so during the ceremony.
I always put my fridge in the inventory and just a counter in its place so they won’t get shit out when there’s food & drinks right in front of their faces.

Asking questions we all ask. Here's another one...Why when sims collect plants, items in dig holes, etc. , jogging or walking up and down hills, does this activity not count as exercise? Why do they have to be on a bike while collecting for this to count as exercise? Their jogging and speed walking! Up and down hills! They should be able to get exercise out of this activity and burn some of that pie they ate for lunch. I send them out collecting all afternoon and still have to bring them home to jump on the treadmill to stay in shape! Omg!
I HATE university, I literally don’t have time to do anything for their classes. If I go to class on campus, my sim then is late every time and they always end up failing on or off campus. Only once have I managed to do it on long life span. Nothing like Sims 3, it was definitely my favorite pack in Sims 3 :(
Wondered why I didn't have all those tiny annoyances with Sims constantly walking off and doing whatever. Then I realized; I always play with "free will" off. They'll rather stare into a wall all day instead.

I agree with everything except the University-part. University is free in Norway (and most of Europe, I think), so you only take up a small student loan to pay for housing and food, and even part of that loan is turned into a schollarship at the end of the year if you pass all of your exams.. So for us, this is pretty realistic. I would like a loan-system in general though, where they can apply for a loan in order to buy a house and such, and how much they get depends on their saved up funds and what kind of job they have.
While uni loans are of course different based on where you live, in the UK while we do pay for uni it's a completely different form of loan and much lower cost from US universities, considering most of the Sims seems based on American life and that it'd add much more challenge and interesting gameplay I think I'd prefer it tbh.
the university in the sims is literally based on american university so the prices are EXTREMELY unrealistic.
There is no such thing as free, it's paid for by taxes.
In Brazil there are completely free universities as well (and those are the majority of the best ones) so I also disagree with that not making sense
I wish the Sims aged gradually up to birthdays, not just go from "helpless baby" to "two years old" in one birthday jump. I know it'll probably never happen, because it'll be difficult to animate, etc, but I feel it would make the game so much more real. Like, the child doesn't jump from 10 years old to 16 years old in birthday, you see them gradually get taller up until their birthday.
All the above! Also, I don't understand how the aging system wasn't updated with SEASONS since it added a calendar and yet my sims don't get all 4 seasons before they have another birthday.
I mean, you could turn off aging and them just manually give them a birthday every year. I understand what you mean, but that would make their lives extremely long compared to the current aging system
You can change how long the aging periods are in settings ^_^

Why do friends and acquaintances come to visit just to start making a white cake and leaving it on the counter undone. Or they go outside to the grill and make some herbal concoction they leave on the ground or just leave unfinished.

I miss being able to make my own world, like in the Sims 2. Then I could decide myself how many big/small lots I put in there.

One that you've forgotten that REALLY bothers me is
Sims team: we're not gonna reintroduce burglars because it's potentially triggering to people to have someone break into their home and steal their stuff
Also sims team: vampires will break into your sims home and drink their blood without their consent while your sim sleeps and no there isn't a way to stop them. This is fine :)
Like, I'm sorry but I'm way more uncomfortable with TS4's vampire mechanic than I ever was with burglars in the previous games. The burglars were just funny, TS4 vampires breaking into my house to suck my sims blood while they sleep tho? Bloody creepy.
I agree! I feel like they should include burglars, but maybe have an option to turn the random chance of them breaking in off in game settings. That way it isn’t forced or anything. I miss all the random goofy things that would happen in the Sims 2.
@@sarahderosa2626 yeah exactly! Defo agree there should be an option to disable them for people that really don't want it, I'd be thinking something along the lines of how you have the check box to opt out of the celebrity thing, but for burglars :)
Just the irony of "oh no no no we can't have burglars do that. Vampires can do it but like 3x worse tho, that's fine :)" from the Sims team is so stupid and upsetting to me lol
They suggested forcing Sims who don't want children to have children by woohooing when they're dazed, but cartoonishly stupid burglars are too far?
To discourage vampires: garlic braids. Have your sim learn the vampire secrets skill from the computer, learn about garlic braids, and just make one up to put in the bedroom.
I don't have vampires come by that often anymore (i think there was an update to the chance of it happening), or i would have tested this, but the new door commands to discourage visitors has an option for vampires to minimize their coming by your house. Whether that stops them from taking a nibble, i dunno

If you *want* to have vampires coming by your lot uninvited for a quick meal, i can't say for certain how to ensure it. But!
There are things you can do to increase your chance. Not being friends with the vampire in question (i've never had a friend stop by and be a jerk), and making sure all sims on the lot are asleep (this includes pets and roommates and any npc invited over) for the night relatively early (i don't remember an instance of my sims being up past midnight and still getting drained).
Other thoughts: i find it happens more in city living apartments than elsewhere for me, but that could easily be because it's 2 teens living alone and they go to bed early because they have school.
Some people have mentioned on forums that if you're in an apartment in city living, you can see the vampire in question get off the elevator (spawn in) and decide whether to come in depending on your sims' being asleep/awake. I haven't noticed this before, but it supposedly has to do with where visitors spawn in the world and it's just closer in apartments than in the neighborhoods, and it's only after they spawn that they decide whether to break in or not.
Vlad seems to be the biggest (only, in my case) nuisance for this, as caleb and lilith never show up as anything but visitors for me. And it's very rare with my normal playstyle because so many times sims are up all night for one reason or other.
But i'd suggest playing around with it a little to see if you can get even vlad to spawn and take a bite. Try an apartment in city living if you have it, don't lock/disallow vampires on your doors, have your sims go to bed relatively early (say, 8 or 9 pm as trial). For other factors, try making sure some sims are in a good mood when going to bed and others have needs already in the yellow or red. Try different mood states (like happy vs uncomfortable) before going to bed (since the cowplant has different results based on the eaten sim's mood). Don't have any pets or roommates in the house.

ugh when they won’t leave toddlers in the high chair or put them in a high chair when you queue up a bubble bath or something it’s so frustrating
I never use highchairs for that reason (plus the extra space I rarely have available) but its frustrating that you can't feed your toddler a quick meal without a high chair, as though you'd put a real life 2 year old in a highchair to eat a cracker.
Love this. The parents thing definitely makes me feel like things need an update
Even without a height slider they could distinguish at least a little between the heights of teens and adults plus men & women. It's essentially impossible to tell the difference between life stages visually.
Im trying to fix lore in my game, and I sent Dina and Don to a spa, a few minutes later Nina called Dina to offer her a position in the criminal career.
I made Don gay and had him propose to a man. They moved to Sulani and seem happy.
I have another one; if a sim has a bike in their inventory, they will literally use it from ANYWHERE if they’re going far. My sim would bike right from inside her bedroom on the ground floor, to her lecture, while a normal person would walk outside and THEN take out the bike. And also from the middle of the library to the lecture. I ended up selling the bike because it bothered me too much! xD
My sim got stuck once Bc my other sim left the bike in front the stair case and it would not allow him to put the bike his inventory. While all that was happening my baby was taken away bc I couldn’t access the other hall way bc of the bike
OMG all the sniffing!! Getting up at 3am to go sniff the air near your bathroom counter is NOT something that people do. But Sims... Yea buddy! It drives me loony!!

I’m glad to hear someone saying they like Sims 4. I understand the regression problem, but I do enjoy the game and storytelling.
all of that is so, so true! I specifically love the point about multitasking, 'cause I haven't seen it brought up before how it's not even real multitasking (people only complain how it makes things slow)!
Agree with all of this, experienced all of it, but especially annoyed by the refusal to SIT DOWN!! Omg, soooo frustrating! I have mods to kick unwanted sims out of my conversations/homes. That WOULD bother me more, but TGFM (Thank God for Modders). But nothing makes them just SIT at a dinner table, and let’s not even begin to discuss the filthy chaos that are Sim Weddings. Uuugggghhhhhhhh.
I hate the award ceremonies and weddings. They stand and go else where when there are chairs right there!
I was collecting the gnomes from harvest fest. I got to gen 11 so I had a lot of gnomes.... befriending Lilith was the biggest mistake! Took me ages to find out it was her stealing them. I lost about 6 gnomes before I noticed her stealing. I accused so many other sims xD now I'm going to move her into my household to get my stuff back. Baby maker and I get my shizz back >
No height sliders probably because the animations would be too complicated. Though I do wish we had 3 different heights. "Short" "Average" and "Tall". That'd be nice.
What doesn't make sense to me is why do my sims, when tired, ALWAYS take a nap? Naps are useless. Just go to sleep you silly sim.

I find most of my sims will go to sleep when they're tired, but I recently created a few who seem to prefer naps. Dunno why this seems to be a sim-specific trait.
Everything you mentioned I have experienced. I go back to the sims 2 sometimes just for the gameplay. My wishlist is for them to add multi-purposed lots!
Caring is sharing. Makes no sense! It's not sharing when your mum visits she steals your stove and counter! Ugh

I don't like how much time everything seems to take them. Like the sims team had to modify how many bites of food it took a sim to finish eating because it would take so long. And I've started playing sims 3 again and when I have my sim have a quick meal of juice it fills up their hunger no problem, but in sims 4 it just makes them have to go to the bathroom sooner. Not to mention the vegetarian sims just eating stuff with meat in it and getting all pissy like they didn't do that to themselves. Also with the walking thing, you go to have your sim interact with another out in the world and they just have to walk to the end of the neighborhood to talk
Ha when I tell me sims to stop doing something by canceling it and tell them to do something else but they’re still doing the thing I canceled til they’re finished
What's up with Sims always wanting to get glasses of water....ALL....THE....TIME! Takes a drink, puts the cup down, then goes back and gets another cup of water....like WHY!!!??
I think "get a glass of water" is one of the things sims do if you show them they can, but if you never have them do it, they act like they don't know it's possible.
@@tmf866 I never tell my Sims to get a glass of water, but once they get that 1st glass they always wanna go to the sink and get more. It's a bit frustrating lol

While you can lock the computer, why should you have to? When was the last time you went over to your friend's house to just use a computer??
You can visit the Sim's parents' house, but then it is somehow rude to cook... They really need to add "intentions", for example "visiting the parents / family for x days" so you can actually sleep / cook / etc there without being kicked out.
Another example: you bake a cake to age up a baby and everyone grabs a piece before you add the candles! You try to have all the Sims in the room to watch the blowing out of the candles, but they all keep walking away... That's why you can't have nice things, Janice! That or free will. You could set the intention "age up Janice Junior", so the others stay where they are and do not touch the cake!
The fridges sharing one inventory (or generally inventory sharing cupboards, etc)... It can be useful at times, but heaven forbid you own more than one fridge. The Sim will walk across Pennines to reach the other one.
The Sims using the upstairs bathroom sink to wash up a glass of water, which they filled in the kitchen... at a SINK...
You can see the neighbour's house, but if you call them over, you do not see them leave the house, they just materialise on your lot. This is probably due to it not being open world.
The fair in Henford-on-Bagley is totally rigged! I'm all for adding some difficulty and consequences to the game, but you can rock up with an excellent golden egg and some Tom, Dick or Harry wins with a NORMAL white egg! How?! Unless they all bribed what's-her-face. This just feels random. At least have a pop up implying someone bribed the judge.
One last thing: they teleport into the bus. In the Sims 2, they open the door and climb in. Oh wait, I lied! No burglars! No fireman trucks! Are there even policemen? Probably not and even if there were, they would not have a police car!
I couldn’t agree more with everything in this video! & omg the computer thing! Bella Goth is my sims daughters bestie, she rings to come over all of the time just to sit at the computer 👀😂
Speed time is limited by the time the game need to calculate actions and render the visual output. If you want time to fly faster, you'll have to zoom out or point the camera in a different direction.
What I absolutely hate is when a sim is hungry so I make em get something to eat, but if it’s just a little late they die of starvation while eating
Omg yes I agree with all of this! Especially the not being able to make a family with just a grandparent and grandkid or aunt and niece. So annoying lol 😂
The only ways to do that is by MC Command Center or making a parent for this child and killing it
Ya when sims fight and smile after bugs me also why under relationships is their no enemy place like other relationships? Photography need to be overhauled their should be too many level 5 skills.
Why does the BB mode not let us mirror swap the furniture?
Why are there only ugly carpet floor tiles?
Why isn't there a single rug that actually matches curtains and furniture?
Why can't we layer clothes? We have coat and cloth hangers, and an umbrella stand, so why can't our Sims just throw a cloak over their clothes before heading out into the cold?
Why are the Sims still freezing or overheating indoors, when they have the air con /heater on? Normally, IRL, this would allow them to wear normal clothes indoors. But as it is, they have the heater on in winter and still run around at home in snowboard gear, otherwise they'd freeze to death.
Why is the stock of random names and family names so small that I have several townies with the exact same names running around?
Why can't we have multicolored hair?
Why do we have so few cool men's clothes?
Absolutely agree with everything you’ve mentioned! I think instead of giving us new kits or packs etc (as much as I like adding new things to make the game more interesting… for a little while lol) they really need to focus on fixing the MANY many things that are already wrong with the game for now but that’s just my opinion 🤷♀️ I just can’t enjoy playing for more than few hours before I’m completely frustrated & turn it off 😩
Yes! The constant jumping up from sitting down like they’ve got crabs or something. The walking 6 feet to hug each other. Pissing themselves when they are right beside the bathroom. So many random senseless things. What bugs me the most is constantly using the damn phone! (Oh, wait…that’s just like real life, isn’t it?)

I agree on everything except on the price of college degree. I know it's very expensive in America and the UK, but in the rest of Europe uni is very affordable (and a better way of doing it tbh), so I'm glad they're representing something other than America's way of doing things.

LMAO indeed only sims can ruin the novelty of being God!!! BEST line EVER! I've been there and 9X out of 10 prefer to build, then you had to mention that, nothing matches!!!! So many things you said, oh EA please take note! I want multi businesses for fricks sake.
The fact that recycle disciples are the worst kleptomaniacs of all time and will steal their own shit and instantly recycle it even though there’s no recycler on the lot!!! WTF!
And yeah, the sitting down on opposite sides of a stranger to talk over them when there’s space to sit side by side.
The term toddler is used for a baby or young child learning to walk, it technically breaks the definition if the toddler is crawling. Babies crawling however, is something I really want.

How it's pointless to queue up tasks because their mood will change and they will cancel everything.
How they sabotage their own parties by immediately eating the cake
How other sims will invite your sim on a date and just leave the lot as soon as it loads in.
How sometimes objects randomly become inaccessible.
How sims will keep checking their toddlers over and over but not actually give them what they need.
Why does the Sims team link the design/style of furniture to prize and benefits ? It's logic that very fancy looking Princess Cordelia stuff is comfy af and also expensive. But for the other designs, I find it really stupid that when your Sims earn more money and you want to buy them a more comfortable bed and sofa etc, in the end, all houses have the same interior design
yes for real like my sim gardens! they are definitely burning lots of calories being outside half the day but they still continue to gain weight, its weird lol

The Sims 2 did not have the color wheel, but the color options were much better. First of all, the developers put items in sets/collections, and the sets/collections would have matching furniture. Second, the developers would have light, medium, and dark wood colors on a lot of objects, but of course, not all of them are that way. Even the wallpaper and flooring would have light, medium, and dark wood colors. Third, the bedding and bed frame could be recolored separately, and this was transferred over to The Sims 3. In The Sims 3, the Create-A-Style tool was a total game changer, and all of a sudden, you could redesign things immediately anyhow you want. It was a major selling point in the game, and it was featured in the base game trailer.
The Sims 2 did have a build/buy quirk in that, if a family was living in a house, and the player went into Build/Buy mode to recolor stuff, the game would actually charge the player some Simoleons for the remodeling. Can't afford a whole remodeling? Well, the Best of Business collection pack game manual does suggest that you can add a single wallpaper to a room in order to provide a focal point to the entire room.

Agree with most everything. For the rich people perks, I have always thought that was a cheeky jab at stingy rich people and it makes sense to me and even makes me laugh.
Agree about everything except University. The fact that The Sims doesn't have depressing realism in the form of student debt, healthcare debt, unemployment, job applications etcetera is part of what makes it relaxing. Challenge is fun but I'd rather not be reminded of what a capitalistic hellscape the real world is. It does feel rather pointless that university in game still costs a tiny bit, though. They might as well have made all of it free.
Except that these are the realities mainly of the USA. In most European countries, state studies are free or involve only small fees, and you only pay at private universities.
In fact, the best students at larger universities can even earn a little money from this through scholarships and grants.
I swear I thought the time thing was just my computer being slow. Glad to know it's functioning properly.

* Why do the firefighters cry for like an hour when they see my sim dead instead of doing their job?

It bothers me that they have to be standing or sitting or nearby for some interactions. When I have them on a date, if they're sitting they have to stand up for some things, but they can't do others while standing. (Example, "make out" only is on the menu while sitting, "passionate kiss" requires they be standing. So if I'm queueing up actions, they may stand up and sit down and stand up and sit down again in the process.
It bothers the heck out of me when I have given them something to do but they just stand there. Sometimes it's just lag in my computer, which upsets me when it's something like "I have told them to go to bed but instead they just stand there until they pass out from lack of energy." Sometimes they have more than one action, they can't do the first one for some reason (like it was to interact with a sim who walked away), but rather than tell me, skip it, and go on with the next action, they just stand there... forever. On more rare occasions they need to be reset.
Oh, and I found yesterday that if my sim has a drawing tablet, they can take it anywhere to draw and they put it back in their inventory, but if they're on an outrigger canoe in Sulani they put it down on top of the water when they're done. (It floats, fortunately. It's expensive.)
I've experienced pretty much all of this. Mods are this game's saviour. Whim overhaul, MC Command Center and UI Cheats make the game actually enjoyable.

I really hate that about the sims getting bigger over time. I finally started giving sims the active trait and putting a treadmill in the house so he/she will keep the weight off without input from me. The other way was to reshape them in cas every so often with that cas.fulleditmode. In my games, I think every single time a child aged up to a teen, that person was as fat as could be no matter what they ate as a kid. They could not use a treadmill even with the active trait as a child. The baby interactions were much better in the Sims 3.
I have two high chairs in my house. I will tell a Sim to feed the toddler, a DIFFERENT grown Sim will get the toddler and place it in the other high chair, and that will CANCEL the interaction to feed the starving toddler. I have to tell the stupid parent sim to get the toddler out and put it in the othER FREAKIN HIGH CHAIR WITH…FOOD!…IN IT
I kinda feel better now. Until I have to feed another toddler….
I’m sick and tired of having to buy homework for my Sims in university because they always leave it somewhere they never put it back in the inventory and I’m stuck searching for a minutes trying to find it
What really grinds my gears is that when a sim cooks they just stop midway. Like wtf im trying to cook yall something so yall can eat.

Totally agree with you on all of this. I just started playing Sims 4 after playing Sims Free Play (mobile game) for years and I was mad when I accidentally deleted my save file. The baby interactions in the mobile game are awesome, baby toys, crawling, etc. I was confused when they didn't work in Sims 4.
As a German I find the tuition for University already ridiculously high and annoying lol, but ig it does give you a bit of a challenge to afford it depending on what kind of sim you play
Part of it is the game really suffers from the division of its DLC. Regarding one of your examples in this video, Tiny Living, as a Stuff Pack, introduces no worlds or lots. I do find that there are small lots in most worlds that lend themselves well to tiny houses, particularly if you pair the pack with Cottage Living to make tiny farmhouses, as many of those outdoor items are very large and take up quite a bit of space outdoors. Another example is that base game baked goods are "cooked" and train the cooking skill rather than the baking skill, regardless of whether Get to Work is installed. The packs are very poorly integrated and the whole game comes off as carelessly slapped together with little thought for it.
My sims drink to much water on awkward moments and often go to work or school with their bladders under stress.
Where do toddlers and older children get those buckets of paint from, and why spread it in the middle of a room? Sometimes toddlers can't even walk, but already have liters of paint somewhere in a hidden pocket.
When mother is cooking, better switch autonomy off or the other, even a father, will raid the fridge and leave mother stand with a pile of food.
When mother done cooking, let her call for diner fast, or she will start eating like if she lives alone in the house.
What also doesn't in TS4 is that you can't go through other sims fridges but they can go through yours. Sims have no respect
