Just watched it on Netflix. Really loved it. Goosebumps. Love the scripts and action sequence, of course, there is room for improvement but I just love it. All the actors have done justice to their characters. Hope this movie will be a stepping stone for a much more excellent movie from Malaysia.

I agreed with u..storyline ok, but cinematic is quiet disapointing. Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa by KRU is better as we know the movie has the style of Zack Snyder kinda or LOTR elements. But this movie is like typical drama series on TV3 kinda cinematic, or more like a documentary reconstruct scene..no offense tho but Hikayat Merong has the element of heroic and warrior kinda feel

Most of the actors (maybe all) in this movie actually have background in Martial arts - silat.Frankly, for me the actions are the strenght of this movie.Its not perfect, but it is indeed a great movie. Its a must watch for any race that have been colonialized or being oppressed in the past.But its indeed feel close & personel to Malay. Film was correctly potrayed how it was in the past. Just because the brits n indians were bad back then doesn't mean that they are bad now. Just like the japanese, they were bad in the past now they are one of the greatest country and people in the world. Even the leader apologize for what happened in the past caused by his country.
I can't believe this movie is from Malaysia, the story is very similar to the Philippines's Lapu Lapu and they share the same martial arts style. Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines are brothers and sisters. Since they share very similar DNA and ancestors, they're called the "Malay"

Honestly the directing and pacing were not very good (wish it was more organic like Indon silat films instead of flying the camera all over the place), but the writing & acting & action were amazing. And Yayan Ruhian hands down the star of the show 🔥

Just watched it on Netflix. Really loved it. Goosebumps. Love the scripts and action sequence, of course, there is room for improvement but I just love it. All the actors have done justice to their characters. Hope this movie will be a stepping stone for a much more excellent movie from Malaysia.

I agreed with u..storyline ok, but cinematic is quiet disapointing. Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa by KRU is better as we know the movie has the style of Zack Snyder kinda or LOTR elements. But this movie is like typical drama series on TV3 kinda cinematic, or more like a documentary reconstruct scene..no offense tho but Hikayat Merong has the element of heroic and warrior kinda feel

Baru lepas habis menonton Filem ni, Filem ni sarat dengan aksi-aksi perlawanan yang mendebar, diselangi dengan skrip berbahasa baku yang jitu, Filem ini tidak membosankan kerana setiap scene by scene dilakukan dengan begitu pantas & tidak tertunggu. Oleh kerana ini Filem Syamsul Yusuf, jadi cara bersilat & berlawan dalam Filem ni seperti dalam KL Gangster 2, mungkin daripada Martial Arts Chereographer yg sama dgn Filem itu, sebab dia punya trademark itu menumbuk dalam berlawan itu sama sangat, mesej keislaman yang diketengahkan dalam adat Melayu itu yang membuatkan Filem lagi padu dan bersemangat, Aksi saya bagi 10/10 dan Jalan Cerita 9/10, oleh kerana ni fiksyen daripada kisah benar, mungkin endingnya bagi saya kurang memuaskan, saya Fikir kalau cerita betul mesti diorang tunjukkan macam mana Mat Kilau tewaskan British ketika itu dan bagaimana mereka di halau daripada Pahang adalah ending sebenar kepada peminat movie tunggu-tunggukan. Filem ni untuk keseronokkan melihat aksi yang ditonjolkan memang menakjubkan, tapi cerita ni tidak boleh menjadi bahan disekolah kerana fakta & ketulusannya tidak memfaktakan, mungkin boleh ditunjukkan contoh keberanian Mat Kilau sahaja, bukan cara perjuangan Mat Kilau sehingga penamatan jajahan British disana. Movie ini best kerana Aksi & skrip saya bagi 9/10 untuk semuanya, apa pun saya ucapkan tahniah kepada studio kembara, why not next buatlah cerita pasal Pasir Salak, sbb dia ada mention tempat Negeri Perak dalam Filem ini, cant wait for their next project, chaiyokk jangan mengalah!!!

Amazing movie kudos to all crew involved...its good to see people display in their movies values and morals...with references to history while still living in peace and creating unity thru music entertainment and od course nature as guide and all its creatures who are our friends and families not food...I am seeing how nature and the grand enlightenment is indeed bringing out the best of everyone...namaste...may all earths beings live in harmony unity a abundance...everything we need is within us all. Most of the actors (maybe all) in this movie actually have background in Martial arts - silat.Frankly, for me the actions are the strenght of this movie.Its not perfect, but it is indeed a great movie.
Its a must watch for any race that have been colonialized or being oppressed in the past.But its indeed feel close & personel to Malay.

Film was correctly potrayed how it was in the past. Just because the brits n indians were bad back then doesn't mean that they are bad now.
