She went looking for a fight but didn’t deserve to die, but what did they expect??? Nothing good could have come from that entire situation. Poor baby without a mom now.
Sorry she lost her life! Sad a child will grow up not knowing his mom! People need to atart using more commom sense. Thank you Lamont for the straight forward way you tell these stories!! Stay safe!!
I'm so glad I've always been a homebody. Even in my early 20's I had a great state job, when I had days off I was home. Had plenty of things to do there instead of going out looking for or getting into trouble. Now 30 years and one son later I'm still the same way. It's not hard to avoid situations like this. I've never been arrested, had a ticket or in any trouble and I intend to keep it that way. Choices have consequences, so many people forget that.
Yeah I agree 💯 choose your battle's I find it shocking that a 18year old would even bother to go out of her way to have a physical altercation with a child sad state of affairs . Leaving a baby motherless 😢
I came to the comments looking for just THIS. I completely agree. She had no business going to that school to fight a child. She should of kept her butt at home tending to her own kid. Play games get stupid rewards. I feel sorry for her baby, now with no mother.
That was the perfect description of Menards!! This story is so sad. Being young and not thinking straight can end very tragically unfortunately. Hope that precious baby is doing well
Just to clarify, Millikan High is in a nice area of Long Beach-- I know, because I grew up in LBC, but I went to Polytechnic High School-- home of the celebrities and sports CHAMPIONS! Lamont, ask me about the area and I can tell you the in/ out and the good and bad of the city/area. 😊😊👍

It is common for officers to retire in their early fifties. Many of them then go to security jobs. Every cop I know, including police chiefs, are retired before 55. I think that is when their pension matures. 25 years of active duty? Something like that.
If the 18 year old would have controlled her emotions and NOT driven to the school to beat up a 14 year old, then the 18 year old would still be living her life today!! She is the root cause of her fate!

At the age of 52 the “downgraded Police Officer” may have actually done his 20 years and retired. It doesn’t mean they can’t work in a different field, just means they have completed their journey as a police officer. On the flip side, if it was a “downgrade”, he was most likely fired or quit before being fired. It could be a variety of situations. Also, in my state, safety officers ARE actually Police Officers. We just call them School Resource Officer or SRO for short. Speaking from much experience here. More research might really be needed here since all police officers are public employees and this should be public information.

So sad about the young lady losing her life but to such a stupid thing. Her bf shouldn't have taken her to that highschool. The kid was 14 years old! Why a eighteen would fight a little kid. Then she gets killed by a security guard who should not have a gun on school grounds. Everything just is a mess and she's dead because of some dumb thing like social media. Mona should have NEVER gone to that highschool period. Thank you Lamont for telling us about this story, even though it's really sad to hear. Stay safe out there young man I'm watching you from Tucson Arizona
Instant karma. Mona should've been at home being an awesome mama to her baby instead of beating up a child in school uniform. Social media is damaging young people's brains
When I was in High school and riding the bus, there was a school bully who, for some unknown reason, decided I was going to be her target. She “called me out” I accepted and told her to meet me at the bus stop Friday night at midnight. I had no intention of going. Friday night, a winter storm had moved in, it was windy, cold and heavy rains; and at midnight I was sound asleep in my warm, dry bed. So Monday this bully confronts me, “I was here, where were you? You’re a coward…” blah blah blah… I told her I wasn’t able to sneak out and lets’ do it this Friday. Second Friday rolls around, and another winter storm is all thunder, lightening and heavy downpour; and once again I hadn’t given the bully a second thought, I was asleep in my warm, dry bed. Monday comes and she’s losing it, yelling “You’re a coward, You’re a loser, you lost, I won…” blah blah blah… She gets off the bus. My stop is next, and the driver says something about how she is ‘glad you didn’t go.’ and something about losing. I told her I didn’t lose. I wasn’t the one standing out in the cold, heavy rain at midnight, twice. The driver laughed with gusto.

He can not drive for Uber or Lyft Lamont. (Before you ask… I know because I have been driving U and L for 8 years). His charge is an assault issue which is not allowed by both companies.
The officers in our local schools are actually part of the police department, with full police officer training, ability to carry, and arrest.
