    Just wanted to quickly say thank you because this video has been a blessing, I recently got multiple Mafex X-Men and some of the joints were ridiculously tight, Which was quite disappointing because I definitely didn't pay import prices for them.
    People recommended all sorts of silly things to me for how to remedy the issue and then I found this video and couldn't be happier.
    I used nothing but a drop or two of 100% silicone oil with a needle tipped applicator and it allowed the oil to seep right into the joints, I do a few full rotations to work it on to the ball and joint fully and wipe away any excess with a Qtip, it works perfectly!

    Ohhh boy maybe not a figure review but indeed some thigh joint solving problems tips are needed.
    Just to remember how SUPERTIGH and stiff is to try to move Krillin 2.0 torso kills me!!!! TmT
    No to say some other tigh joints like shoulder balljoint, pelvic area joints etc.

    • @toysfront
      @toysfront  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not just krillin 2.0, my gohan & krillin battle clothes' waist are supertight as well.
      you can easily pull the torso to oil them fortunately
      now android 16 thighs are making me nervous even after oil treatment 😥
      just so sad with figuarts joint quality lately

      @@toysfront yeah figuarts/Tamashii joint quality control just scare anybody to pose their figures.
      Yeah its good the waist/torso articulations are easy to disarm and put em back together for any "fix", but the upper torso i havent try, cuse my krillin2.0 waist isnt thight but that diaphragm/upper torso articulacion is almost imposible to bend but using a lot of strenght, and its annoyin.
      Also squeaking waist, and waist-leg joints scares me, so also thinking about sanding or using some oil like you in those joints.
      About AND16 joints problems as you say, i m thinking the problem is that the male peg joints are just a tad bigger or with any irregularities than its female peg socket, makin the articulation of the figure a pain and almost a Horror/Thriller Movie.... xS
      Hope you made it to fixe it cuse it looks so cool, but i Expected an Updated articlacion for AND16 .

      for the squeaky waist & thigh i used some oil on them and they work fortunately.

    Good tip but I would recommend using 100% silicone oil, it works best. I bought a bottle of team associated 80wt oil years ago and still have a lot left over. A micro drop is more than enough

    I prefer Hot water , remove the Joint if possible Sand the Joint. The Problem is, That the Joint is to big ;-)
    But Great idea with the oil!

    • @LocuS-Sinclair
      @LocuS-Sinclair ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ive doing that with my figuarts an other figures.
      Just to say, i solved. Bardocks bicep swivel problem with that. Hot water to disarm it, -a lil strength was needed anyways, scary- and then proceed to sand cautously the male.peg with sanding paper. Also took off bardoks head after some hot watter, and made bardocks head hole a bit bigger for easy remove .
      Tigh hand joints, coolers tail joint, and gokus ssj4 tail joint. All of em cuse neede a lot o strenght to put em on and take em off.

      @toysfront  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i tried hot water treatment with hard plastic but they dont work.
      r u sure they work?
      i have to try your method since oil method doesnt work with my android 16 thigh.

    • @LocuS-Sinclair
      @LocuS-Sinclair ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@toysfront yeah, hot water treatment in my opinion, its more to free stucked joints. If any joint goes back to feel stiff and tight after hot water,
      As said, the problem is the male joint peg is a bit bigger for the joint socket, making it too tight as the famous Bardocks bicep swivel problem, thats needed to be sand in order to fit nice and be able to rotate the bicep without worrying to broke the articulacion.

      @@toysfront Im doing lots of Customs, i had 7 Bardocks and the Bicep of all that Figures could not move. I solved it by using hot Water and sanding the joint. You just sand a little, put it back in, if it moves, it is okay, if not use again hot water, remove and sand a little more

    i use dish soap and it works pretty good lol

    • @toysfront
      @toysfront  ปีที่แล้ว

      the downside of using soap to lubricate is, it will be dry after a while.
      i think the objective is to keep the joint wet with lubricant to avoid sticky joint.

      if the oil gets in other parts, i use toilet paper to absorb the excess oil.
      its thin enough to get into the crevice.
      if you want to clean the parts that's oily, use soap water. if soap water still cant remove the oily parts, use detergent & water.
