I'm going to be in 60 year's old in may haven't caught a steelhead yet but I'm going to going up on the klickatat river and try my luck ;; thanks Jordan for everything you do ,I truly appreciate all your videos.
Loved that advice near the end about just staying relaxed and in the moment. So many times the goal of "catching fish" starts to mess with you mentally when conditions are tough. This is one of the best vids I've seen in a while.
Loved the vid. Shows what steelheading really is! (grinding and a lot of fish less days) instead of unrealistic catching all the time. When was this filmed? Late dec, early January?
The Washington state fishing struggle has been real.... the weather has been dumping. The 1st Bridge I use to jump off of as a kid...This video literally depicts the struggle cause it's been rough lately lol stay positive and God bless.
Exact reason I watch and will always watch your guys videos. Because you're REAL. You show the struggles and the good times! Thanks for the content! Jordan nice fish dude! Better luck next time Marlin🤣
A few humbling days sure puts your perspective in order! If you don't have any you're really not fishing enough! It was tuff to watch, but @$$! Happens!
Just had my first day out for winters this year. Got some nice cutthroat’s but no chromers I saw this video when it was originally released but came back to it again just as a nice little reminder to keep grinding.
2ft visibility in lower Michigan is great super clean water. When it's blown out it literally looks like chocolate milk. Whitefish get that big in lake Michigan. I caught one last year that was 3 n half pounds. Those whitefish are the best tasting fish around..
NICE WORK GUYS!!! You kept catching little pan fish! I love it... I'm stoked that the guy that was LATE caught the STEELHEAD... lol! All you guys are awesome! Did you see my Steelhead video? Its doing pretty good! Not the best day but I was stoked to be out fishing... Stay safe out there guys... much love all around! Your friend Daniel from Northwest Washington... pnwfullstop
thank's. love the steelhead spirit, you guys are lucky , I have to many city slickers for friends, just pretty boys afraid of the cold& wet, you guys rock
Although I can’t fish as I would like to because I work in the hospital, when I’m able to fish I go. Being in Southern NM is hard fishing indeed. I truly enjoy watching you guys videos.
Jordan when you guys going to make it to California brother some of the best fishing I'm telling you. you can fish for trout bass catfish or you can drive about an hour and a half and hit the coast and be in the ocean brother!
Real silver plated #4 to 5 body and blade spinner were Jed Davis Winter Standard offering for conditions I see you fishing . The prescribed weight was 1/2 oz up . Have you tried that.
Popov with an EPIC Whitefish. I had to look up the state records... In Oregon the record is 4lb 14oz and Washington was 5lb 13oz. That fish looked 4 on camera.
What a grind, but what a beautiful fish ! Realistic programming! I must be a true steelheader ! It seems like its a last minute decision more often than not. Yes, we've got whitefish up to 5-6 lbs here in Michigan. 24" is big, but 28-30" happens rarely.
I caught a white fish as big or bigger than that while bank fishing on the upper McKenzie early February 2021 on an orange #4 Blue Fox!! We all thought it was a small steelhead until I got it up to shore!!! As disappointing as it was, it was still fun!! Lol
Thank you guys for all the knowledge you guys shared I've learned alot from your videos which is turning me into a fishing addict. I'm also searching for my first of the year which will be my second steelhead ever but with the knowledge I've gained from your guys video's I believe I'll have alot more this year.
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not sure. I targeted whitefish in Idaho with dead drift nymphs and split shot. When I moved to Oregon I looked for slightly deeper ruffles and runs and suddenly I was a steelhead drift fisherman. Lost one on my first trip (40 years ago, wow, I'm old).
New video type, and I'm not kidding: The NO-CATCH AND COOK. Still gotta eat, right? And not catching salmon is still an opportunity for you to teach me all the things: what color bead, what size, and why? What weight line, what type, what weight leader, what length, what do the rigs look like? What length worm? What reel? What rod? Anyhow, this is super fun, one of my favorite videos.
What is a steelhead smolt? In Oregon they classify steelhead as a ocean run rainbow over 20" long. Is there such a thing as a steelhead that is under 20"?
That is an alder log and definitely isn't caused by termites but is caused by bugs after the tree died and bugs got under the bark as it dries out and loosens up
Love the vid it shows the honest work time and effort just to even get a bite and maybe a fish. Up in Ontario the season had been fairly good, but still gotta grind to get em.
Easiest way to catch steelhead in my area(great lakes tributaries) is using a gulp minnow on a jighead(1/16oz). Now I'm trying to catch my first steelhead on the fly.
I just caught my first ever winter steelhead last weekend after years of getting skunked! Was only the second time i ever tried an addicted worm under a bobber, they freakin work!
You guys should have done a catch and cook on that big white fish. Jordan have you been catching fish on the river where you used to live? I have seen you there a couple times but everyone says it's been slow. No luck for me so far.
Honestly most the whitefish I've seen in the lakes of Alberta are close to that size. Either way boys looks like fun no matter what. I'm planning a trip out to BC to try out steelhead fishing for the first times.
Why dont you mention what river your fishing. . This is my first year fishing steelhead and broke my new okuma pole . Shut it in the car door-rookie mistake. Saving for another one. I love the adventure of steelhead fishing. Ty for all the videos I have learned a lot from them.
Went out today and finally hooked on a steelhead after 1 month of getting skunked. My buddy hooked up on 2 with me and it was a great day of fishing. Regardless to say this was a great way spend my birthday on! Just fishing!
How is everyone doing this year? Have you been catching any fish?! 🐟
No dice yet but moving Alaska soon so we will see...
My first year of being a steelheader and been getting them.
Hunting seasons over.....tiiiime to start fishin
1 trout on a tiger panther martin. By the way, the set up I use was recommended by you guys on the trout "how to videos" 🤘👊💪
Been fishing, not catching
I'm going to be in 60 year's old in may haven't caught a steelhead yet but I'm going to going up on the klickatat river and try my luck ;; thanks Jordan for everything you do ,I truly appreciate all your videos.
Great perseverance Jordan. You’ve added exponentially to this channel and all the content.
Loved that advice near the end about just staying relaxed and in the moment. So many times the goal of "catching fish" starts to mess with you mentally when conditions are tough. This is one of the best vids I've seen in a while.
Love how you caught yourself- “We’re gonna go home, have some be....beverages...”. 😂
Then shows up hungover 😂
Loved the vid. Shows what steelheading really is! (grinding and a lot of fish less days) instead of unrealistic catching all the time. When was this filmed? Late dec, early January?
January, they said New Year’s Day.
Marlin's face was priceless when Jordan Whiff that bobber down(24:33). hahaha
Can you guys make some Oregon coast trips for surfperch and bottom fish?
Not all fishing trips bring in that big catch. Just getting out in it is the reward. Jordan you are indeed the man.
Easily the most relatable episode of addicted life lol.
I love it! Jordan shows up late and goes right to fishing. State record white fish, nice.
The Washington state fishing struggle has been real.... the weather has been dumping. The 1st Bridge I use to jump off of as a kid...This video literally depicts the struggle cause it's been rough lately lol stay positive and God bless.
Can you guys make a video of techniques to use on blown out rivers? Like plunking and what not.
A bad day of fishing is better than an amazing day at work!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steelhead the fish of a thousand casts ! Great video my friends , I really enjoyed it and thanks for keeping it real !
Should of named this episode "Wing and a Prayer". Great vid!
Jordan needs to call his cooking segments "Knigge's Knitchen"
Marlin- "There was a raft behind us with a fish what do you have to say for yourself?"
Jordan-"I wasn't casting!"😎😎😎
Ancient alien markings!! I love it, I agree Marlin!
I heard that “anti -matter” playing in the beginning! Good music taste!
The starter river was one of the ri ers we had some pretty good success on.
Exact reason I watch and will always watch your guys videos. Because you're REAL. You show the struggles and the good times! Thanks for the content! Jordan nice fish dude! Better luck next time Marlin🤣
Love winter steelhead! And a whole week! Lucky ducks!
Finally a fair and accurate depiction of winter steelheading!
Love the realism!
7 steelheads caught all from the meat locker to dodge park on sandy river so far....love the vids
I’ve caught a 5 lb whitefish on a northern WA river. Absolute chunk that ate a bead while I was steelheading, just like this one.
Absolutely loved every aspect of the video dudes🤙 spot on grind. Way to keep it real
The log clearly said "Worms are better than beads"
A few humbling days sure puts your perspective in order! If you don't have any you're really not fishing enough! It was tuff to watch, but @$$! Happens!
"Fish big beads" wise words of Marlin 😅 hes coming to the dark side boys
😂

The thing that makes those marks are Beatles

I caught my white sucker fish PB’s this year. On an addicted twitcher.
All we got is stocked trout here in AZ, but I'm catching them on the river using methods I learned from watching you guys. Thanks.
thank's. love the steelhead spirit, you guys are lucky , I have to many city slickers for friends, just pretty boys afraid of the cold& wet, you guys rock
The white fish are that big and bigger in the sloughs in the lower Columbia, knappa slough blind slough area
I’ve been going hard every weekend and finally got my first hookup. Lost it at the bank, but I am completely reinvigorated!
Although I can’t fish as I would like to because I work in the hospital, when I’m able to fish I go. Being in Southern NM is hard fishing indeed. I truly enjoy watching you guys videos.

My wife caught one close to that whitefish on the Willamette river years ago.
Beautiful whitefish! Its hard finding them that big in south central Alaska where I lived.
Thanks for these videos. Sometime I watch and wonder what I’m doing wrong. And then I see even the addicts have to grind at times!
Like always guys killing it!
Huge sea lion dang Nessie
What a grind, but what a beautiful fish ! Realistic programming!

got a nice chinook last week. going again tonight, hoping for some trout this time with this batch of fresh row.
There's a few fish around, I found a wild and a couple hatchery fish before I left for lineman school.
New video type, and I'm not kidding: The NO-CATCH AND COOK.

He said it was a "white squaw fish" 😂
Sweet video guys. First river did look blown out lol
Anyone else catch when Marlin gives up the first spot?
I definitely did 😂😆
Yeah now it will have even more report chasers out there with their “bobber rod” come Saturday mornings...lol yay
@@shaunlehman664 report chasers on a river we didn’t even fish? We left that river... lol

so cool just moving here a few months ago from Ohio and recognizing some of the spots that you were fishing!
Great video, with a great message!
How do you guys deal with line twist when using mono on spinning gear
Let’s go baby!
Been waiting all night! Just picked up a spey rod and would love a video on spey !
Whitefish parts make great laker bait.
Looks like good plug water
Idaho fishing been pretty good iv fished 6 days so far and have landed 15 so far and had a few more on
I'm so fucking happy you guys made this, I was starting to get extremely discouraged 😞
bro this year has been pretty good so far. Still waiting for that monster!
Easiest way to catch steelhead in my area(great lakes tributaries) is using a gulp minnow on a jighead(1/16oz). Now I'm trying to catch my first steelhead on the fly.
Those are some EXPENSIVE Whitefish 😆👍🏻

TOTW (Time on the Water)... can’t replace it!
Sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you get the back to your car for the drift boat
I just caught my first ever winter steelhead last weekend after years of getting skunked! Was only the second time i ever tried an addicted worm under a bobber, they freakin work!
Love the videos as always! Wish you guys would get it where it don’t have so many ads like other TH-camrs do.. fish on 🎣

Fish on!!!!!!!!
“As long as everyone’s having a good time, there’s no need to be poopy pants.“
Awesome vid guys! 🤘🎣
Good video and nice catch
Did fantastic the week before the new year and haven’t found a fish yet missed so good bobber downs just haven’t capitalized yet
Spote👍👍👍
Getting ready to do some steelhead fishing here in Idaho, just waiting for my boy to finish up his basketball season. Love your videos! 👍🇺🇸
nice to be humbled at times!!
i havent got a steely in five years haha hopeing to take my boys out and catch one next week
Been fishing for the last month, have boated 12 fish, the biggest was 12lbs.
Honestly most the whitefish I've seen in the lakes of Alberta are close to that size. Either way boys looks like fun no matter what. I'm planning a trip out to BC to try out steelhead fishing for the first times.
I had a friend get upset because bow hunting wasn’t nonstop action like he had seen on videos, 👍
Congrats ! Patience, Persistence, and a little luck... now you broke the ice !
I love the single moms comment about making hotdogs 😂
Caught my first steelhead ever on the chetco river here in oregon 9.3 pounds on Friday
So you guys float down river, then what? How do you get back?
