Some cases of depression are more intense that others. Some people take longer to get over it than others. And not all the songs are about "his trips to rehab for depression". And btw, he is very mature now, he is a father, and a wonderful one in fact.
You can tell the direction of this band--or any other Patrick Stump is in--goes whichever way his desires take them. This is not uncommon, btw, when you have such an incredible, musical talent at the helm.
