As someone from Scandinavia ( Nordic snowy, salty roads) Rust converter and painting over it does not make a car "Rust free". You stopped the rust in that area from oxidizing anyore but it is still there. There are 2 ways to remove rust. Sandblast if its surface rust or replace panels if deep. But still looks good for a abandoned car.
Same I’m in Vermont. Personally I wouldn’t consider it rust free unless it’s Been a garage kept car it’s whole life. He should get an acid tank and dip his parts in it. Easier than it sounds tho

@@dubiousf00d would be cool to see him dipping stuff, even Adam LZ should get an acid tank and soak his cars like the CRX project, also you could get small ones to do fun stuff like gold coated manifolds and stuff like that, probably bring buisness to Sam too, but super expensive stuff.
Its not a full restoration, it will last another 10-20 years easy.
the undercoating i always found was worse.shoul just rust repair and paint with a good paint such as endura paint

Crazy how in the first videos of Okinawa, Sam videoed cars that were rusted beyond repair from sitting what looked to be 5 years, but he finds this car that barely has rust compared to the others. Plus the car wasn’t very far from a cliff with ocean at the bottom. You’d think the sea breeze would destroy it in no time, but I guess the trees and other plants that were taking it back protected it.
Jason left jassie all alone didn’t even leave him with the Barra wags 😂

Was mainly due to the smaller wheel we put on afterwards. Once the steerers went back on the gap was much nicer

Hey sam, you can have a running vacuum while you sand stuff, to immediately catch the debris
Put undercoat in a bucket of the hottest water u can get. And let cans sit in it. Then spray. Sooooo much better coverage. Smoother. Just all around better.....give me a shout out for the good advice lmaooooo! Goodluck bro

I know this is an old vid, I'm tying to catch up but that can says "body underfloor coating under floor wax" that's not paint. That's for temporary season protection and you can't paint over it you'll have to strip it with a solvent to paint.

to remove that sticker on the windscreen, use lots of lube ie window cleaner or water and a plastic razor blade. Then use a clay bar and lube for the residual

@@nzuncovered1845 neat. Any info on a brand / model? I'd love to get get one. I usually end up using a pick to try to unseat hoses and its a PITA.
@@LochnessMonstaa Yeah I use that method aswell then I just twist it, I don't own the tool either but have got it on the list. Not sure what brand exactly, depends what country you are in, maybe T&E or snap on etc. They also have kits with those in it, the other quick disconnect type and hose clamp pliers all in the same kit, you can get them off amazon or ebay for pretty cheap.
