@@FuzzedDrones I predict some controversy from the viewership but that is part of the excitement. This will be THE event of 2023. I already trust that your crew will pull off an amazing spectacle. Great job guys!
I really liked the last section where you dialed in and showed the range of the different amps. It tells me so much. I hope you do that in the rest of the videos. I personally liked the peavey best. The grind in its top end is great.
Thank you we were hoping people enjoyed this series . We put a lot of time into it so far ! The laney is a great pick . You really can’t go wrong with it . Thank you again for checking this one out !
I appreciate that . Yes I’m very fortunate to be able to use these amps . John has a great selection of amps at the Animal Farm Studio. Thanks for checking it out !
Definitely the Yorkville was surprisingly heavy and full. When I was growing up in the 90’s playing in hardcore bands I always played yorkvilles and traynors because they were half the price as Marshall, Ampeg, or Orange atleast until people started finding this well hid secret! But my dad and his southern rock buddies turned me on to them. It’s been years now since I’ve had one and I’m a full on Brit guy like Marshall, hiwatt,Laney, Orange and honestly this beat the Laney and the Marshall for me in this clip. The Peavy was a nice surprise, I always knew that was a great head but damn son!!!!!!
Awesome video as always bro! 3:41 you're killing it. You ever check out a Sunn alpha 112? No one seems to know them and you can get them dirt cheap. They're loud AF too.
Thanks you . I haven’t tried that one out yet . But I have tried the sl60 which is a stellar amp . That you can find for like $150 bucks or even lower . But i definitely will be keeping a eye out for one of those locally !
That mean a lot I’m really happy you enjoyed this . That was kind of the whole point of this video . We wanted to put a series together for all these great amps . Thanks again !
Goth DoomMetal till i DIE and beyond says the Belmont who write Guitar riffs for his instrumental post metal/Doom/Black metal sounding band hell yeah love to see a video like DOOM is the most Underrated music genre of all times

I think that’s where I was at . But if I had to pick one I would go VTM all the way . If you had to pick one . What do you think that would be ? Thanks again for checking this out !
Nice they're all killer for sure. I'd go with the Traynor cos i thought it had a unique drive characteristic The peavey sounded brutal and really unique as well tho. Very close second
Great Video, I think the Traynor is underrated here, but my love is for the Laney you should try and get a Laney GH100L I have the AOR and 2Ghl head a 100 and a 50 I think the 100ghl is a beast.
The Traynor is a solid pick . It was the first time I really sat down with one . It really took me by surprise on how much I liked it . I appreciate you checking this one out Eric !
@@FuzzedDrones absolutely dude! I’m looking forward to seeing which one passes this round. They were all sounding great. I liked the Marshall for the faux hm2 sound best and the traynor overall for its mids and articulation. The AOR and the peavey both sounded good but they were a bit too scooped for my personal preference. Really can’t go wrong with any
Looks like you had the comp switch on the vtm on? Totally neuters the headroom these things are capable of. I keep mine off on my vtm 120 but that’s just me. All that said, excellent excellent quality video and can’t wait to watch more. Subbed!
I'm a bit biased but I think the Laney AOR sounds the best, such a meaty low mid growl. No other amp really compares to them. The AOR EQ and the gain knobs are kind of weird and it takes a time to get used to them, but as soon as you get the hang of them these are awesome tool. My AOR is super reliable and was used on 4 releases of my band. The last time we were at the studio it sounded better than all the other amps we tried. Peavey sounds weirdly scooped in the mix (on it's own it is cool), Marshall is OK but nothing special. The Traynor is my second best pick, has some really cool tones but lacks the punch of the AOR.
Hope it's not too late to vote. My vote goes to: 1) Traynor YBA-1 2a) Marshall JCM800 2b) Peavey VTM60 (mainly with the Longsword) 3) Laney AOR Pro Tube 50
@@FuzzedDrones do Difficult choice but Laney. But it's biased I haven't tried Peavey like that. My drummer swears by Peavey but I tell him I need a Peavey amp. Im on the hunt for good Peavey 💯
Gotta say the 2210, it was just gritty and percussive and filthy. Probably one of the most underrated Marshalls, hopefully people don't catch on to them 😂
@@FuzzedDrones i agree I'd take a 2204 over a 2210, but for this particular comparison I think the 2210 won me over. They were all great, the Laney was a close second for me
Not easy to choose here. For my taste, the JCM cuts through the mix and the Laney did the best job in terms of blending with the other Instruments. Don´t like the Top End/High Mid of the Peavey. My Vote goes to Marshall, without hearing them Solo. What matters is the Mix, not how they sound just themself.
**WINNER OF ROUND 1 GOES TO THE LANEY AOR 50** This will be moving on to the final video.
I'm rather biased towards Laney AORs but the Traynor YBA-1 is pretty much killing it in this video
If these are going to be in a tournament bracket style shootout I will be in heaven.
You nailed it right on the head ! That’s all explained in the video 😁.
@@FuzzedDrones I predict some controversy from the viewership but that is part of the excitement. This will be THE event of 2023. I already trust that your crew will pull off an amazing spectacle. Great job guys!
I like the clarity of the 2210 the most!
Nice ! Thanks for voting 🙌🏻.
Laney for me!! Heavy and brutal
Solid pick !
Heck yeah! I am as excited for this as an Ali vs. Tyson fight! Stocking up on Beer and popcorn now.
I love that comment !!
Great episode guys! My vote is for Laney.
I really REALLY love a JCM800. Who doesnt? But that Peavy blew me away. Gotta go with that. Its a HEAVY hitter.

I’m happy to hear that . This is the format we will be doing for all the video . I’m glad this gave you a bit more insight on these amps !
We don’t even deserve this level of production.
I appreciate that glad to hear your liking this series . This month will have the Model T , Matamp and Or120 shootout !
I'm going to go with the Peavey, felt extra brutal in comparison. But that Laney was also really cool. Love this idea for a video series!
Very happy to hear your liking this series so far . We were hoping people would like this idea . Thanks for watching it and voting .
Gotta vote Traynor. That thing is cool.
Awesome idea, I'm hella looking forward to this! I liked the Laney best out of this group, it sounded full and beastly!

Traynor for me! It's that Bassman/JTM nature that's so appealing..
Right on ! The traynor was a close second for me !
You hooked me at solid states.
Had to include those ! There are so many great SS amps out there . Thanks again for checking this one out . Also please don’t forget to vote 🤘🏻!
I have the Laney AOR100 Series 1 and love it, I wish I had never sold my 2 Peavey VTM 60’s though 😢
Freaking sweet man. Good vid. Lucky you get to play all those hahah.
I appreciate that . Yes I’m very fortunate to be able to use these amps . John has a great selection of amps at the Animal Farm Studio. Thanks for checking it out !
Laney gets my vote. The Peavy was right there as a close second.
Looks like the laney is slowly taking the lead . Thanks for checking the video out !
Excellent series!
Very much appreciated 😁
This is going to be a fucking great series of videos. Super excited for the rest! Traynor was my favorite out of this bunch.
Really happy to hear that . We are super stoked to finally get this series out to everyone ! Thanks for voting and checking this one out !
Traynor, because I'm biased and run a YBA-1a myself.
Can’t argue with that !
Peavey in first and Traynor close second for me. Great video! 👏🏻
The Laney was my favorite. Can’t wait for the solid state edition of this series. No tubes no problem🤘
Where excited about that video as well . We thought it was only fair to dedicate a video for the SS amps .

traynors used to be one of the best kept secrets that no one wanted, nice to see them appreciated except for how much they cost now lol
This from start to finish was engaging and loved this video ♥ And Peavey but a close second to the Laney

Laney AOR Pro Tube 50 - probably, it was quite close and with any of them you could dial in a good tone...

a video on the jcm800 style pedals for doom would be cool or an opinion on the sc20
This is a hard one I love the peavey and the others sounded rad as well but I'm going with the YBA on this one. Killer vid man!!
I think the YBA was the one that shocked me the most . I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did .
I really like them all, but I'd have to go with either the AOR or the VTM. I'd love to own either of them one day!

I'm a jcm fan for almost all purposes, but have to say that peavey is sick, at least for this is just killer!

That Peavey’s a killer

The Traynor and then the Laney
Nice groove bro \m/
Thank you 🙏🏼
All sounded good & had their own character but for me it’s the Peavey. The Peavey sounded best in the mix to me & had more clarity second is the Laney
That’s what I’m going with . Just something about that peavy did it for me .

Peavey blended in the mix the best IMO.
The vtm60 is a beast . Hope you liked the video !
@@FuzzedDrones oh hell yeah bro. Looking forward to seeing the whole series.
Don't know Witchfinder, don't know...
But I like JCM most probably, they all good!
The Laney sounds darker but I l’m leaning toward that sound. I bet it would sound killer paired with the Marshall in a two amp rig.

I really enjoyed these 19 minutes.
I’d go with the Laney.
