If you wanna continue it then a happy ending would be if Ethan got his adult mind back by seeing his reflection and being humiliated or something, because while I'm not a psychologist I know that mental age regression is a psychological cooping mechanism for TRAUMATIC EVENTS! Also it wouldn't surprise me if the guy who adopted Ethan planned everything. By stealing the documents before Ethan, drugging him during the fateful week and then adopt him. And if he and the other guy are married then its pretty poor LGBTQIA+community representation. Just saying.
I feel like the creator forgets that these are aduits not babys- and why does the baby get hit when they do sum wrong their BABYS???
