I dislike 7 Wonders but love 7 Wonders Architects. Glad to see it get some well deserved love. I'd recommend Livingstone as a great family game as well. Space Base is one I need to get at some point. Every time I hear it mentioned I remember how much fun I had playing it
Space Base is one of those games that has a great pure fun factor! And seems to have good staying power, I'm over 20 plays and still love getting it to the table. -Ryan
You're right, the two 7 Wonders games were the only ones that hit 7 players in this list. That said, we actually have a full board game recommendation guide on our website! Here's the link to low-medium complexity games for 7 players, but you can adjust the player count and complexity up or down to find more options. 🙂 rollsinthefamily.com/board-game-recommendations/matrix/low-medium-complexity/7-player -Ryan
Thanks for this list! We have family gatherings fairly often that can be anywhere from 6-16 adults, with varying degrees of interest in board/card games. With the bigger player count we’ve usually had to stick to Dixit Odyssey or Codenames or Murder in Hong Kong. For 6-8 players, one of me and a son’s favorite games is Citadels. I appreciate having a few other games to look into! 👌
Awesome, hope you found some new ones that might work! Also highly recommend checking out our video counting down our top party games for options that hit those higher player counts! th-cam.com/video/IXquZRq4Snw/w-d-xo.html -Ryan
I would never play 7 Wonders again but I enjoy 7 Wonders Architects a lot. It really is perfect for what it is trying to do. Nothing more, nothing less.
Disappointed in every board game TH-camr promoting all these non-interactive games. People that love games enough to make a board game channel seem to prioritize a clever puzzle than the interaction with other humans. This isn’t just a knock against your list but every channel I’ve watched lately. Let the family’s have a little conflict. I do like the inclusion oh Heat, Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders Architects, space Base, and it’s okay to have a few of the low Interaction games. I would add First Rat, Caesar’s Empire, Carcassonne, The Quest for El dorado, Kingdomino Origins. I think Kingdomino and Cascadia are similar but I prefer the drafting and puzzle in Kingdomino
Haha sorry to disappoint, but there's also a reason those kinds of games tend to be so popular! I think especially when talking about more accessible or family games, there is a higher chance that someone in the group is conflict-averse, which tends to make these kinds of games safer bets, and we have introduced them to a variety of groups to great success. But I think you have some fantastic suggestions there! Some of those would have likely been included if we went beyond 10 games. Fortunately, we are spoiled for choice with modern board games so there are plenty of choices that cater to every preference of player interaction. :) -Ryan

We are always looking for games for 7+ people. I was disappointed that you didn’t include these. Our extended family loves board games.

PWH Praise Be! Heat is not for me, I will let everyone else enjoy it.
No game is for everybody! But man are we spoiled for choice in this golden age of board games. -Ryan
