The year I took it was during the 2020 elections so we got to learn firsthand about election cycles and how it plays out. I’d recommend AP Psychology as number 5. It fulfills a general education requirement in some way shape or form at most universities. It’s also very doable, it mostly just entails terming things that most people do subconsciously throughout their lives, and a bit of history behind different psychological theories. AP Economics would probably be my number 6 for similar reasons.

@@김홍윤-u3u AP Bio, Chem, Statistics and Psychology should be your top priorities, as almost every nursing program requires those classes as prerequisites. Anything else would be for a general degree requirement and heavily depends on what exactly the university wants their students to learn. So take that into consideration and don’t take more AP classes than you can handle; it’s better to score a 5 on 3 AP exams than score a 3 on 5 exams.

I'm doing a CS degree so getting Calc I and II knocked out was great, and CS A also knocked out the first year requirements for CS at my school. My biggest advice is to take classes that you are interested in and relate to your path in life rather than ones you think will look pretty for colleges. I for one, am not an organized person, but that’s how I am and it did make the school year much harder than intended to. I made sure to balance my time and determine which will take me the longest to focus my time primarily on that subject! Remember that you don’t have to take all these classes at once, it is better to take them when you have time and when you’re ready :)!!! My last piece of advice is to choose the ap subjects that will largely benefit you in college, good luck

When applying to colleges, take a look at their AP credit policies and note which AP classes are eligible for transfer credit. Hard science (Calculus, Bio, Chem, Physics C) and foreign language APs are more likely to count for college credit at the most competitive colleges compared to soft science (Macro/Micro, History, Psych, Gov) or Art/Music and other humanities like English. Some top colleges don’t allow any AP credits to transfer, although you may place out of some first year courses at the least. And, of course, take APs that are relevant to your intended major.

Also coming from someone who does not strive for the same high achieving standard that this guy does, gov wasn’t overwhelmingly difficult. And I got a 4 on exam. Hey, so I am a Sophomore now, and I chose AP psychology as my first AP. I was later found out it was full since upperclsssmen had priority. I tried getting in AP human Geography, but that was also at the capacity. My school doesn’t really have a lot of staff for the abundant number of kids at the school. (680 to be exact) so I am stuck with no AP this sophomore year and I couldn’t freshman year, so I am trying to make up that one AP I can’t with all honors classes, and challenging myself he most I can do. I hope I can do two AP junior year next year and three senior year. Is it bad that I literally can’t do an AP this sophomore year because of the number of students enrolling in the same AP? Like I can’t obviously choose certain AP that I want to since they have a prerequisite for them. I hope I can get in UNC, Duke, or WashU. Last year freshman year I had a 4.3 weighted, and a 4.0 unweighted. I calculated that if this year I get all As which I will work for, I’ll get a 4.5 weighted and 4.0 unweighted or so. Any advice or thoughts to my bad situation?
    Thanks.
PS my brother got in the AP classes that he chose, but not me. I am just unlucky… 😢
