I got a 88 d100 power ram we put a 440 in. Trucks a short bed. Fun. Doing some minor repairs now.

I had an 89 Dodge Ram Charger in high school till the steering finally went out on it. When you open the hood on this I honestly had a moment.

I’m 16 and me and my pops just got me a first gen 1992 short bed D150 and I’m in love!!! Always loved the first gens found her on Facebook market place for 3,700 and we got her for 3,100 makes me happy to see other youngsters driven them ol dodges! 🤣

Still own and Drive my 1974 Dodge Club Cab Power Wagon. Originally bought New by my Dad. I bought it from him in 1980. Still Running the 440 V8 with 4 Speed manual Transmission. Refuse offers to sell it all the time

I think he should get the head gasket checked out. A puff of white smoke from the muffler usually means water or coolant is finding it's way into the cylinders.
Is it possible for me to get Joseph's email? I would like to contact him for the info about where he got his speedo working on and fixed. My first gen dodge has the same problem.

Power Ram means that it's 4 wheel drive . It's an update on the name Power Wagon from the previous generation Dodge truck.

I drive a dodge D200 only 90k original miles 360v8 automatic still drives like new!!!

I had a 89 short box power ram, lifted with 33s. I ended up getting rid of it like a idiot. The 360ci had some goodies on her and boy was it fun to drive! I should slap the shit out of myself

First gen only applies to the diesel equipped models with this body style not gas ones.

Im an irish 13 year old and there is a scrap yard 2 miles from us with 2 rams the owner daily drives one if them its a power ram long bed with a load if stickers and a rams head on the hood but he has one without an engine and its fairly goid with no rust and i want it when im 16

I’m 19 and building a 1977 c25 , first gen dodges are clean trucks too. But this is an inspiration to me man. Lol I’ve had the truck since I was 17. Saved up a lot of money from just working like you man.

Fair enough. But in the practical sense - this is a first gen body style.
When I was 15 I almost had my hands on a 1 of 500 special edition Volkswagen I've wanted for years but my dad didn't want to go that far. Had the cash, just couldn't drive yet. Car probably worth 4x what I would have paid now lol. 4 years later I now own 3 other volkswagens and I'm looking at buying a truck to daily. Probably a first gen D150, build a 4 link for the rear and drop it a bit with maybe a mercedes diesel under the hood. 400hp and 600ft-lbs sounds good for a daily.
The power ram means it’s a 4x4 the 2 wheel drive trucks didn’t have the power badges. And the LE package depends on what the buyer ordered it with. Mostly the LE package is power locks and windows and a/c. Some trucks came with cassette radios. I’m 17 as well with a 1987 dodge w150
Hey the prospector trim was available for 1989-1993 Dodge ram w250 trucks or only 79-89 trucks

Hey last style for this front grill was in 1990 was prospector trim available for this year or no it ended in 80s

My first vehicle was a similarly painted 1990 Dodge 150 4x4 Supercab truck with a 318 engine. It was my dads truck and he sold it to me in 1994, it was all stock except for some chrome 8 spoke wheels. To me at the time it was the most beautiful truck on earth.

I have a 1990 Dodge 1/2 Ton truck to, Extended Cab Long bed, has a 318 motor and a Granny 4 speed Transmission. Not a power house but she gets me where I to go. My first truck ever and i love the thing so much, my truck also had lots of room under the hood to.
A truck and his young man. Hot rods are nice, but a truck will help you pay the bills. Need one every time you or your friend moves too.

Styling is old school but the engine/efi /trans is similar tech as GM at the time. I worked at a GMC dealer back then, also TBI in the trucks.

The fuel injection on these models killed the power they had I know I've owned one mine's a 1989 I got tired of it being so sick so I pulled the 318 throttle bodied engine out and put a 77 Dodge 360 engine in it out of a b3500 Dodge van of course we built the engine the old transmission couldn't take the extra power I riffed that transmission out of it in no time you talk about a monster putting the transmission in this thing is quite a job and if you ever need to set the camber on that Dana 44 axle good luck they will wire eather the outer or inner tire out and the only thing you can do to stop it is have the axle rebult I know it doesn't cost much gas to drive only a half a tank a day if you don't drive much you got to love these trucks to put up with them thanks for the video

Got a d150 givin to me when i was 16, and now I'm 18 buying a d250 in 2 days, I'm so excited. My d150 has 82,000 original miles and the d250 has 96,000.

I don't know too much about them.
All the motors offered in this gen truck are pretty bulletproof if you just keep up on regular maintenence etc. The later magnum multi port efi motors make a boat load more power than the earlier tbi or carbed motors. Either way you can't go wrong.
Power Ram identifies a 4wd, Ram identifies a 2wd, 91 got a new grill, 93 last year for this body style

I bet the oil pressure gauge don't work right in it and you can't fix them might as well put it aftermarket manual oil pressure gauge on it

Shame it didn't have a 3 speed overdrive with a slant 6.i got to drive one on my sales route once a pond a time it got the best gas mileage of any dodge I ever drove .
Did you have to change the wheel hubs and then used spacers to attached rims on them?

We just bought our toddlers this truck! 318 motor ours works awesome but looks rough lol. Ours is manual though. 1990 (the year I was born). Our boys are eventually going to restore it with their Dad!
