I suppose these truckers are the most honest people around. They must contend with much of the tribulations as most of us. But they face it with a lot of humility and honesty with a few Anglo-Saxons mixed in for added impact.
I love the way Texas is designed for the most part. Most streets and hwys run north and south and are wide. If you pass up your stop, you can actually make the block and go back for the most part. Not in Georgia, you go to make the block and end up in a whole other county! Not big truck friendly either. Everything is snug around here. But i digress and say thanks for the ride👍
I got into your videos by accident,but I must admit I don enjoy them. The 1st one I caught was when you bought this truck with your Mrs. In Europe the Volvo's look totally different then the U.S. version. I've never really cared for the European trucks? Keep up the good work and stay safe out there. Berlin calling!!!
Enjoying your videos,Robbie,I'm retired now after 43 years on the roads of Uk and Europe,jobs the same over here,but the trucks are set up different,we tend to run 3 axles on trailers on 2 on tractor,running 41-44 tonnes on general haulage,all restricted,by law to 90 kph,56 mph,which makes long haul a little tiresome!! Still on the road but these days in a RV,just can't seem to get the road out of my blood,would be interesting to see a video about the driving regulations,speed and weight limits in USA,they seem a lot different to European laws.Safe travels my friend.Paulo

Hi Provost, Your brake squeal could very well be a hard compound Brake Shoes, ( typically for heavy haul mostly ). I run a moderate compound brake shoe. NO squeal... A vender put never replace shoes on a friend of mine’s truck.. LOL. The vender was trying to pull his repair business... Didn’t work. Shoes out lasted the drums. So the vender was right, we just had to replace the drums.... LOL. The just of the story, We could hear Gene coming down the mountain two mountains away... I would try to find out what compound they installed at the OEM.... Have a Good Day...

And you keep it interesting. I enjoy your side stories a lot. And why are your brakes so squeaky on such a new Volvo truck?
Wow, you make it look easy. 380 may actually be worse now than just taking I30 all the way through Dallas these days. You may have lucked out going on 635... and 635 is almost never a good idea even in a passenger car.
I'm noticing that I'm hitting the brakes way more then I ever have with a manual transmission because the engine brake is weak and when I click full engine brake + auto upshift, it can go up to 2100 rpm! And when going down a grade that can quickly go even higher! Maybe that's why the Spike brake lever is so badass and precise on the truck. This truck has completely changed the way I drive. I'm loving eco coast, and saving fuel. It's adding hours to my already long trip, but considering I only burnt 57% of the fuel I did in my first truck Its extremely motivating Has your mpg gone up with time?
? Why does it look like you need a front end alignment? You're driving straight, but the steering wheel is pointing at 1 o'clock from the passengers camera view.
Yea ANYTIME Dallas can be avoided is Great! Thanks for uploading! And is there any way that the power steering lines could have been crossed? I know in several applications the power steering will still function with crossed lines but with some deficiencies and possibly sounds as well.. Just a Hail Mary guess!
I don't hear the annoying beep beep beep from collision avoidance anymore. How did you stop that? Can you do a video on it, I want to stop mine cause every time it beeps it overrides the radio. And also does it affect cruise control? Thanks be safe

It's always been my dream to own my own truck to be in control do what I want come home when I want. But this market right now really has me worried. Would love you to do a video on the steps I need to take on getting a truck and if you think the market will level off.
Looks as if getting your brakes fixed you're probably have to have your race car shop do it doesn't seem as if the Volvo place is NOT very willing to do anything about with your squeaking brakes

TH-camr Indiana Jack had to replace two steering boxes on his older model Volvo truck FWIW. I hope you do figure out the problem, they aren't cheap.
