Great vídeo, but please the world this ibérica península is Spain now açores too? We have great music use celtic music. We have celtic culture. Use fado , use other music...
Amazing video of my homeland. But if there is a next time, please dont use happy like latino/spanish songs, dont mix at all with us. The Azores is more melancolic. Even portuguese and specially Azoreans. Are more melancolic in terms of culture
Now I learned something new, would never have thought the Azores and Portuguese culture has a melancholy element to them. Does the music have a a melancholy aspect to it also ?
yes if you listen to Fado, just google up Amalia Rodrigues, you'll understand what Joao is talking about. Fado, you can translate as Destiny, as it's deep roots in the Arab music, going back hundreds of years ago, xi century
@@QueenlySweetpea yes, obviously there is happy portuguese (and Azorean folklore songs), specially on traditional festivals. But Portugal and specially the Azores (i tend to say the Azores almost in a "seperate" way, because by obvious reasons, the Azores has a identity of its own), has a melancholic ring to it, there is even a portuguese word called "saudade" to it, and Fado music, like someone described already, is the perfect mirrow of that. But the Azores itself is a thing of its own, unlike mainland Portugal is very green, cloudy, rains alot, isolation and a almost neo colonialist system that happened, and being looking at the ocean thinking of the world elsewhere and thinking of the loved ones that imigrated to Brazil, USA and Canada makes it even more "melancholic". And would advise also looking for a song from Rodrigo Leão "as ilhas dos Açores" perfect song to describe the Azores.
Cannot suggest that time to visit the islands. They get a lot of rain and some fierce storms in Winter. Do late Spring or Summer. Just went 2nd week September and had great weather. You should visit both. I went to Terceira and loved it, but Ponta Delgada is amazing as well.
The Latin music people are complaining about was the least of the musics problems the rest of the music played was awful Like that 1930 style music none of it goes with the place. Not just the Latin music. Why so much different styles of music. As a Latina who happens to love São Miguel and has vacation here for the past 5 years this island is so relaxing that all this fast beat and all over the place music needed to be much calmer . But hay I enjoyed seeing beautiful Açores if only via video. Can’t wait to be back next year cause this year is a total mess
A volcanic island in the middle of the ocean. Can the volcano explode again? No, I do not think. Where will the people run when the volcano erupts? Frequent frequent earthquakes! You may not have a chance to escape. Everything is very expensive. It's not a place to live.
Tenho muitas saudades deste paraìso. São Miguel é uma maravilha.
ARQUIPÉLAGO DOS AÇORES UM PARAÍSO AQUI NA TERRA QUE FALA A MESMA LÍNGUA QUE EU.
FANTÁSTICO, LUGAR ÚNICO NO MUNDO.
Esta é a minha terra linda , tenho muito orgulho nela.
Com licensa. Posso falar com voce em privado. ferolaz52@ gmail.com. E sobre as Acores.

what a beautiful place
Unique climate.
The music, for heaven's sake, hasn't got to do with the place. Couldn't have been worse chosen, it sounds like the Azores is Latin America dance club!
