    Wow thats alot of stuff. I've been riding Hondas since 2000. A recon and a rancher stopped caring all that stuff and started packing for comfort. Chair, table speakers,heater, tarp hiking poles cooler ,food, stove, water. Things i use everytime I go out not just once in blue moon.

      Gotcha; makes sense. I’m more of a “worst case scenario” guy that doesn’t want to not have something I need if something goes sideways. I’ve never used most of the stuff in there, and hope I never have to! But at least I know I have it if I need it.

    I second the addition of a tarp and some good quality 550 cord. Had to do an expedient suspension repair in the middle of nowhere, chucking down rain. Was nice to string the tarp overhead just to get relief from the constant pouring rain, and made a nice spot to change out of soaking wet clothes, make a hot coffee and wipe off/repack the tools, baling wire etc. I also carry a small kit of stainless bolts, washers, nuts, hose clamps. Also replaced all 1/4" drive tools with Fix it Sticks.

    I carry just about everything you do highly recommended having a torque wrench or something to take your tire off and also a tarp in case you get stuck out in a rainstorm and possibly a hand saw

      All great ideas! Thank you! I can use the ratchet and sockets in my tool box for wheels if needed. Wouldn't be the first time!

    Great set up, may I recommend replacing a few towels with a small tarp and maybe some 550 cord that can be used for shelter from rain or sun if you stop for a bit or and emergency.

    Great video! What a beautiful yard with those fall colours! I have just bought an Overland 1000 so I have tons of storage space. This is new to me as I always rode dirt bikes. But now I am old and brittle so it's an ATV for me. As you know, you can't get much into a ruck sack. I like the idea of lining top and bottom of box with towels to eliminate rattle. Added bonus: a towel could be used as pressure bandage. I liked the tire repair stuff. A tire pump? Awesome since you have the room. I have a chainsaw, tree saver strap and am getting snatch block for changing winching angles. Oh, and a Coleman single burner stove... I know, crazy. Not sure about that one but it was gift from work. Maybe use with snow tracks on quad when it's minus 10 out. Hot soup or something.

    A small folding shovel for digging yourself or someone else out. I found an old German surplus that folds to tiny size, but is good at digging and the edge doubles as an axe.

    Funny I carry like the same exact set-up. What made me laugh is the towels, I do the same thing for the same reasons. Only thing I can think I carry in addition is a set of rain gear. But yeah I have the hat for stopping so the sun is out of my eyes or to stay warm. Also the safety goggles, I will switch to those in warmer less dustier conditions. Also I do keep things in bags. So vinyl type camping bags for the bigger bulkier things and ziplock bags for smaller stuff. Oh one more thing I use a little Pelican dry box for my phone, wallet, and truck keys.

    • @blaze_atv
      @blaze_atv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! I keep my keys in the dry storage on the front fender usually. My phone goes right on the handlebars so it’s going to get wet if it rains lol.
      I have since gotten a set of rain gear. Our ride in June was wet enough to make me want to keep a set on me always!

    Yup, you look prepared! Much of that I always have in my quad at all times in my front storage. Maybe much less towels though? Lol.
    That back storage is great for tow straps, ratchet straps or bungee cords. Always good to have, never know when you have an issue and need to strap your machine together. Been there!
    No saws? Should look into bow saw, or find up saw like a pruning saw or Silky saw. Always good to have, never know!
    Yup, also enjoy a good cigar on the trail too!

    • @blaze_atv
      @blaze_atv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ghost! I wish I didn't have to take so many towels but need to keep stuff from bouncing around! A saw is a great idea. I need to start looking into something like that. Think I may have something lying around the shed I can throw in. Thanks!

    • @ElevationATV
      @ElevationATV ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blaze_atv Just bugging ya! Good idea on the towels, I have such a large bin on mine that everything slides around on when I'm packing light. So towels are a good idea and dual purpose... it rains, or you get trapped in the forest... good for warmth or fire starter too I suppose.
