VOICE singing at Shaun Sherrill Nielsen's going home celebration - Canaan Land Is Just In Sight

Sherrill Nielsen sang with Elvis Presley for many years featuring many songs and duets with the King of Rock n' Roll. Walk with me, Softly as I leave you, It's Now or Never, and many others. In 2009 Sherrill got together with Mike Martin, Nick Fike, and Sean McCaw and decided to form a group Sherrill Nielsen & VOICE. We were able to sing together and record one album before the passing of our dear friend and brother Sherrill.
I remember calling a dear friend of Sherrill's (Ben Speer) and telling him of Sherrills passing. Ben sang a song to me "Little As Much" and told me a story of Sherrill singing that song to him one day. It was hard to hold the tears back as Ben comforted me over the phone.
Before the going home celebration, Sherrill's wife Brenda Nielsen Murray met with me and gave me the song list for us to sing. As I read over the list I realized this was going to be a hard thing to do since I knew Sherrill would not be standing beside us on stage (singing with his awesome tenor voice,) and knowing that this would be the last thing that I would do for Sherrill. I miss him very much, but I know one day very soon we will be reunited in heaven. We still have the old recordings and videos to remind us of what a great singer he was.
