When you get back to the States Tim, get a stress test. That will show the state of your arteries, and give you an idea of any danger you might be in. My last attack I was lucky to be near Loma Linda University Medical Center. I drove there, and literally walked very slow, and hunched over as I was so weak I couldn't hold my torso up. Both my right, and left coronary arteries were completely clogged. I had no pain, just a severe weakness I had never felt before. The stress test will determine if you need to get an angiogram, and possible stents which nowadays can be done as an out patient in some circumstances. Better to be safe than sorry so get a stress test at least once every few years, if you continue to have cholesterol problems. Yes, it does clog your arteries. P.S. Tim, next time you fool around with your relationship to get views, I'm out! We're sick of that BS, and mark my words, karma will intervene if you keep it up so don;'t make a joke of your marriage by insinuating it's on the rocks!
@@etfremd I had one, and it came out above average for my age at the time which meant my arteries were very clean. My older broth had just had a 5 artery bypass which had me eager to take the test. I had a heart attack 10 years later! They may have improved on this scan since I had mine long ago when they first came out, but I'd research that before relying on it. A stress test is still going to be much more accurate so I'd still take that over a scan. Having gone through the stent procedure two times now, I would even recommend an angiogram if that's available as a test rather than to place stents. It's a piece of cake, a miracle procedure, but I don't think they'll give one unless your blood tests show you're having a heart attack, or you fail the stress test?
Hey Tim, You deserve Chrissy, and I tell you, she is blessed to have you in her life. You are the reason she is where she is today. Keep loving and caring for each other till your dying days👏🙏
An LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol level of **144 mg/dL** is considered **borderline high. LDL is often referred to as "bad" cholesterol because high levels can lead to plaque buildup in your arteries, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke.
When I was a kid and we got Chinese food I would always order extra rice and those crunchy pan fried noodles. I'd eat just that for days after drenched in soy sauce. I have 80 lbs of jasmine rice in storage in my basement and another 20 lbs in the kitchen at all times. I should really be married to a Filipina.
Tim, this is nothing new this is not a setback you remember when y’all first got married y’all lived in an apartment I think similar to that one but then I don’t think y’all had a choice but now you 2 are downsizing to move to the U.S. I know you’re just joking about y’all current situation but y’all will be fine.🙂
They lied to us. The only question is if it was intentional, or ignorance. Cholesterol even protects the brain. Eat your eggs. Eat your red meat. Eat your butter (grass fed butter not seed oil margarine). And every guy over 40, certainly over 50, should probably be on Nattokinase, a natural, much safer statin. Definitely something to take when flying long haul if you don't want to take it daily. Very likely the reason the Japanese have such better health outcomes.
I had $3 lasagna from 7-11 the other night and it was pretty good. It was the first time I got brave and ate one of the 7-11 meals but they are pretty good for the price.
Been following you from day one. I hope you agree, it appears your life has changed for the better. Replaced alcohol, with Chrissy and Dale. Wise choice. My wish for you guys would be that you can be as happy in the good ole USA. Can Chrissy be as happy, away from her family. In my mind that would and will be the challenge. Prayers to you and your beautiful family.
An HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol level of **31 mg/dL** is considered **low. For men, an HDL level of **60 mg/dL or higher** is considered optimal
@ no. I eat 6 in the morning with my breakfast and sometimes only eggs. And 6 more around 3:00 pm with either Steak or Salad or whatever. I eat other things. But eggs are a complete balance of amino acids and densely packed with nutrients and vitamins and protein. Especially the yolk.
Manganese deficiency can potentially affect the balance of HDL ("good") and LDL ("bad") cholesterol. Manganese is an essential trace mineral that plays a role in lipid metabolism and the synthesis of cholesterol. It acts as a cofactor for enzymes like manganese superoxide dismutase, which helps reduce oxidative stress-a factor involved in lipid imbalances and cardiovascular health. Some studies suggest that manganese deficiency may contribute to elevated LDL cholesterol levels and reduced HDL cholesterol levels. This is because manganese is involved in antioxidant defense and fat metabolism, which are important for maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. CHATGPT to the rescue. Eat more nuts high with manganese. Maybe do a hair mineral tissue analysis first to get a better idea of your mineral status, bloodwork is no bueno.
I quickly lost about 50 pounds. It’s all about Porsche control and shrinking your stomach. People get out there and start exercising really hard and then they’re hunger increases and then they eat more eliminating any potential gain. My doctor told me it’s all about calories in. I eat pretty much whatever I want. Including pizza. It’s just about eating less and drinking more fluids and giving it time for your body to signal that you’re full. Basically just avoiding all over eating. And I barely even hit the gym.
For the shower, you can order an immersion heater pretty cheap from lazada. Heats the bathing bucket a lot faster than you'd think, just be safe with it since it's an electrocution and burn hazard. Even my sister-in-law started using that for her daughters' baths on the cool mornings up in the hills. Then I was using a rechargeable camping shower. First ones were junk but the second set were much better, had a valve on the hand held shower head so you could save water. Could take a solid shower with only about 2.5 gal/10 liters of water. No running water up in the village so that was the solution for the foreign guy hot shower. And you've probably figured this out by now, but the water goes out a lot and you should set aside some water unless your apartment has it's own reserve tank.
Lot to unpack in this video, no pun intended 😊 I was always happier living in a smaller, more modest place. True, Jollibee in the US is unaffordable 😅 I will eat Jollibee every day in the PH 😂 Happy 😃 for you both and excited about your future! Peace ✌️
The low hdl is the only issue. Being on TRT crashes that. If you eat a lot of fish oil and do fasted cardio every morning you can get it back up to 40 even on TRT. The other numbers are fine.
Tim, you should do what Siim on "Pro Life Traveler" does. He asks for money donations from his viewers all the time. Currently, he's asking for money to buy some land and then he will be asking for money to build a house and a pool. Other channels get money from viewers, like "Off Grid Island Family" who has received 1,000s of US $ to convert a 1-car garage building into a bedroom, built another similar Philippine-type building for another bedroom, erected a block fence around their property to keep the chickens, etc. inside their property, installed solar panels for primary electricity supply, are adding another enclosed space for both an inside kitchen and a dirty kitchen, an additional room to become a living room, plus a separate CR building, and structures for chickens.
I'm 75, take Atorvastatin, HDL 50, LDL 40, Total Cholesterol 100, I eat beef, chicken, bacon, ham, eggs, butter, bread & vegetables in reasonable amounts (no fish - ugh), I feel very lucky with those numbers.
The cholesterol thing is genetic, some people's cholesterol levels are very much affected by diet while others aren't. Only way to know for sure is to experiment. The same goes for animal fats and heart disease, depends on the person.
How are you tim and chrissy, I heard about your blog christian pilipino, I'm a pilipino leaving on united state, I married my fenpal for 32 years we are very happy, but suddenly he die I love him so much, when I watched your story with chrissy I'm happy for you, but anyway I hope I found someone like my husband again! I'm 53 years old
Your LDL value is way, way too high, regardless of your age. IMO you need to get it below 100 by changing your diet and losing a lot of weight (I'm sure you already know this). Statins can get the value down chemically, but you don't want to go that way at your age (statins bring their own world of side effects). Check your family history to see if anyone else has had high LDL and what their outcomes were.
Family history, smoking, hypertension, obesity, alcohol consumption and inflammation will kill you long before your LDL will. You'll probably need to tackle those things first, when possible.
I am shocked you’re coming back here.. I mean I know that was the plan. Hope your stuff sells quickly so you all can get settled! California ? In watching crissy in the video, I can see how much more mature she has gotten. And way more talkative lol.

Our brains are made up mostly of cholesterol, it's needed and a very small percentage of total cholesterol is dietary cholesterol. Inflammation in the arteries is the problem that can cause cholesterol to plaque, not the cholesterol itself.

You are going to go bankrupt eating that much in the US, especially in Hawaii lol. We can look forward to deflation at some point but only after the inevitable recession and that probably won't happen under Trump but the next guy (hopefully Vance or DeSantis). You should really look at Florida. I spent some time there and learned to surf at Cocoa Beach where Kelly Slater came up. It's the lowest cost of living to raise a family compared to Hawaii which is even more expensive that California. Live in a state that works for you not against you. I left Illinois and Chicago for Wisconsin and it improved my life significantly. Either way, good luck to you guys.

Dang it. I would buy your fj, bike carrier, and starlink if I was there, but I’m still finishing up some projects before packing up here in Canada. I need another year before the trip. I’m so happy to see you two doing so great together. I can feel the love you have for each other.
So glad my Filipina wants to stay in the Philippines. It's entirely too expensive to live in America. It's almost inconceivable. Even well off folks are struggling
When I get there and find a woman, coming back is the LAST thing I would want to do! I'm a beach kinda guy, but it's way too expensive here to live that life nowadays.

Dang it. I would buy your fj, bike carrier, and starlink if I was there, but I’m still finishing up some projects before packing up here in Canada. I need another year before the trip.
I’m so happy to see you two doing so great together.
I can feel the love you have for each other.
thanks buddy, we are doing great
Going back to the U.S wow that sucks.
What happened to your dogs? No more vlogs along the beach!
Expensive is a relative term. Solution is to make more money which is way easier in the US. Philippines is broke country
Regular Guy Scotty Boy should buy all yo stuff, yo! I
